How do you feel about fantasy hair colors?

Apr 25, 2013

    1. I really like pastel colours- if you call pastel a 'fantasy' colour.
However I generally stick to more natural colours.
Then again, there is always the option to dye!

    2. I have both but I think I go with the natural look more. The most fantasy one I have is long and pink (to be Super Sonico). Otherwise my main is a long blond wig with some wavy kinks.

    3. I'm definitely a sucker for fantasy colours. I like making my characters with unnatural colours just to add a pop of colour to their concept.

    4. I love fantasy hair colors! I think I like them because I am a lover of all things fantasy, so unnatural hair colors are almost always a must for me :D ...it also may be worth mentioning that my own hair is now an orange/red/pink combo :whee:

    5. I love fantasy hair colors~ i try to make my dolls wear blue, red, pink and so on just because i like it and it usually depends on the style too :)

    6. For me it depends on what character my doll is shelled as, however I tend to lean more towards fantasy colors, especially neon and pastel colors. They just look so pretty, especially when you can color coordinate outfits with wigs! :chibi

    7. I loooooove pastels !! Not so much brighter colors because then it becomes dangerously close to looking like a Halloween wig

    8. I absolutely adore white haired dolls, and it's hard to force myself to have doll wig variety sometimes!

    9. I love fantasy hair colors and would love to have some dolls with some eventually. Ironically, though, my first two doll plans have natural colored hair (ginger orange and brown). Maybe down the line!

    10. I love fun hair colors! None of my dolls have super crazy hair (white and red), but it’s always fun seeing other fantasy themed dolls with colorful and exciting hair

    11. I love fantasy hair color, even for myself so.. why not for dolls ;)
Also I love fantasy dolls like elf, fairys... so is "normal" to use fantasy hair color to that kind of dolls

    12. I didn't realize how much I loved them until I recently got a fantasy hair color for myself -- I've just ordered two new wigs for my dolls that are fantasy colors (they were wearing natural colors for the past several years).

    13. I think it really depends on the doll. Some need to have normal colors, others look way better with fantasy. I personally have plans for both. ^.^

    14. As my own hair is currently rainbow, I love the fantasy colours. I usually have one fantasy and one natural for each doll, depending on the theme I'm going for.

    15. In my opinion it solely depends on the character, on their style, their story and the world they live in. I mean nowadays it has now become pretty common to have pink, green, blue or even rainbow hair (oh and just an extra info pastel colours like pink were really in style at the court of Louis XIV of France and later with Marie Antoinette, celebrations were a runway to showcase the most elaborate wigs and applaude the talents of their creators) and as I mentioned before it depends on the character, maybe it's normal for a character from a certain world to have bright orange hair :)

    16. I tend to like non-fantasy themes for dolls, but interestingly, I don't mind fantasy colors on them. And I almost like natural colors on fantasy dolls... heh. But really, it just depends on the styling of the character. Plus, it's common to have dyed hair nowadays so fantasy wigs can come in really usefully even for non-fantasy themes!

    17. I love fantasy hair on dolls, I think it's cute and inspiring!

    18. My girl, when she gets here, will have a pink wig. But, I don't class pink as 'fantasy'. A lot of colours seem to be becoming more 'normal' and 'accepted'. Blue, purple, candy/cherry-red, green, silver...

    19. All of my dolls have fantasy hair colours, but I never have a natural hair colour in real life so I just push my preference on my dolls as well

    20. I try really hard to buy natural hair colors, but I always tend to end up with fantasy colors. :P I love natural oranges and browns but I also am such a sucker for pink hair that it usually wins out.
