How do you feel about fantasy hair colors?

Apr 25, 2013

    1. I like those colorful LichtBJD wigs, ahh so pretty! I generally like dolls to have natural colors though. I wouldn't mind it though if I had a doll with an 'exotic' wig color. It would be interesting!

    2. I like them. I just generally like "brighter than natural but not so bright that whoa" colourations for my dolls, so the fantasy colours that are just past the line of natural are my favourite. For example, REALLY bright fiery hair. If it's just so bright and saturated and red, then it's not really a natural hair colour anymore, but it builds on a natural shade and then runs with it another mile.

I also have a weakness for blue and turquoise wigs - I don't know why, but I feel like they can match any doll skin tone with perfection.

    3. I think fantasy hair colours can be nice, but I'm also the type of person who would change wigs and hair and eyes and face up for every outfit.

    4. I like the look of fantasy colors, but I prefer natural colors for my bjds. My first 2 wigs were black and brown, and on my 3rd bjd the wig he came with was blonde. He is not a blonde type of person, and I dyed it with a copic marker, turning it a wine red. I love it! I was very surprised, considering I would never have taken that risk before.

    5. I love both natural and fantasy colors!
I've been wanting to put each of my planned dolls in different colored wigs as I like variety!
I'm quite drawn to muted fantasy colors as I feel they somehow appear more..uhh natural. XD; Don't ask me how that works. Haha~

    6. I love, love, LOVE fantasy hair color... it's just that before Corey, I didn't have any dolls it would really work for. But her blue streaks are central to her personality, so I have a short blue/black wig and a long one.

    7. I love the look of fantasy coloured hair - but the prim and proper in me always goes for the natural colours........lol

    8. I love fantasy hair colours but admittedly it doesn't necessarily suit my dolls... But I have a difficult time ordering normal hair colours for my dolls...and my dolls mainly wear whatever natural stuff I have ... :(
it's a terrible dilemma ... Like having rebellious children... But the other way around...

    9. I wouldn't have one on my doll because it doesn't fit with his character, but I think they can look great on the right doll. There's a doll I see regularly on Tumblr with blue hair, and he looks super cute with it :)

    10. I love all of the possibilities of hair color for BJD's; and the fact that you can change their hair to suit your mood or their outfits. I have a blue mohair wig that I bought for fun. The other day I tried it on a light tan doll and she looked really cut in it!

    11. I love all color wigs so I am easy lol.

    12. My dolls don't really have a set in stone hair colour, so I love getting different colours to see what looks good on them! Most of them have the same wig size, so if it doesn't look good on the doll I intended the wig for, chances are it will look good on someone else. I like fantasy hair colours, they're fun!

    13. I LOVE fantasy hair colors, most of my dolls have it in an unusual color (one of them have at least 5 different colors in the same wig).
I like natural too but find them less funny.

Furthermore I have myself in the hair a lot of electric colors!!

    14. I love unnatural hair colors! Not a big fan of neon though.

I don't have anything against natural colors though.

    15. I love both, fantasy and natural color , for me the important thing is that it suits to the doll's style .

    16. I love fantasy colors and am really drawn to them. Especially white! something about a doll with white (milky white) hair gets me. I agree with what others have said, and that not all fantasy colors are created equal... some can be really jarring. I love the more unusual colors like dusty rose, dark purple, or navy on a doll! And some of the new wigs with multi-colors are so striking as well.

    17. I love natural and fantasy colored hair on dolls, as well as, as people.

    18. I love it, I'm planning on ordering a doll with bubblegum pink hair in December and I can't wait to hold my candy coloured girl.

    19. I like fantasy colours because you can be really imaginative and wild, but there more style in natural colours. A t the end of the day it depends on the owner and what they like...

    20. Although I have yet to get a doll, I would say I prefer fantasy colours due to the fact that the persona and background of my characters are most likely to have these as either personal traits or have a hobby in dying hair. Of course, that all depends on the persona themselves.
