1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you pronounce "Leeke" and other company/sculpt names?

Jan 28, 2007

    1. This is probably a no brainer for lots of people I've always avoided sayin YO-SD out loud because I really don't know how to say it. Do you say each letter individually or is it yo-s-d which is the way I've been saying it. And does anyone know whether the letters are supposed to stand for something.

      Iplehouse: Eye-pill-house.

My scottish accent makes everything sound hilarious though.

    6. Luts: On the Luts page below is written "루츠"(돌). So it seems like they named it "loots" (doll). Nevertheless I always pronounce Luts like "nuts"... :sweat

      Laoky

    7. I use both variants for Luts (rhyming with nuts when I think or speak about this company in English and rhyming with puts when I think or speak about it in Russian), lol.
      Soom - like doom.
      Iplehouse - pplhaus.

    8. i pronounce luts like nuts XD

    9. I say "loots" for Luts (that's how it was said to me that first time), ipplehouse for Iplehouse... hm... for Yder, I tend to think of it as ider (not as in "eye" but like the I in simple). I also say Soom, like zoom, and latidoll is like when the doctor says "say ah".

    10. I've always pronounced "Luts" as "luh-tz".
      Bobobie as "boh-boh-bee".
Iplehouse as "ih-ple-house", sometimes outloud as "nipple-house" to weird out my friends. ;3
      Soom like "doom".
      Lati as "lah-tee".

(i noticed this back on page one)
      Yder = "yh-der".

    11. Luts like cuts
      Soom like doom
Leekeworld like a world of leeks.

Yder- yi-der, though the 'I' part of 'Yi' is more or less silenced.

    14. Hmm o.o I'd have to say Luts rhymes with nuts for me...

And I have a good one~! Its become a bit of a boggle over at my house, but how in the world would you guys pronounce Euclase? :?

      I've heard it with a silent e, and a non silent e, *_*

    15. You-clace.

(in IPA it'd look like [jʊkles]) If that helps?

    16. For me Luts is like "lots" ._.

    17. Im a little confused on the leekeworld one... I can rationalize why people say it like "leek-world", but I always say it like "leek - e - world" (e as in see), because I think the guy who founded it was named Lee Ke or something? And I cant see the "ke" being silent or attached to Lee. I DUNNO THOUGH I could be totally wrong.

    18. how i pronounce some

      Luts- nuts with an "L"
