How do you pronounce "Leeke" and other company/sculpt names?

umm..i have a luts doll~and i read like luts,..does sounds like "lust" =-=

 

Wait, Iplehouse is like "ipplehouse"?!??!
I always thought it was like Eifel but with a P and not an F...or like high but with a P not an H.....or if you dont understand what I'm saying "EYEplehouse"^__^;

lets see, I've always pronounced it Lutz, eyepullhouse, EEder, LEEKworld, and soom like Zoom, it's really great to see everybody else's take on this though.

 

Luts, ryhmes with sluts or my personal favorite... Luts, ryhmes with boots. Yes, that seems like it would be how I would pronounce that. I suppose it really depends upon the day and the amount of cafeen that I have consumed.

I tend to pronounce "Luts" as "Lutes" but I always wondered how it was supposed to be pronounced as I get a kind of odd accent when I say it for some reason. This is an amusing thread, I enjoy it.

 

I think Beryl is pronounce Beh-rill though again it might just be how we say in in england. I used to know a girl called Beryl and that was how she said her name. Homme is french so I presume is 'Om hehehe

I am curious as to how Cuprit is said though? Is it like Cup-rit? or Coo-prit? or...?

I usually would take my cue from what country the company is from, which is fine for Japanese but I have no clue about Korean pronunciation so I've been saying some of those words wrong for years! Thanks anyone who contributed the proper pronunciations!

I had been wondering since I saw Cian if Luts meant it as the Irish name or if they had a different pronunciation for it themselves, but since I'm Irish I go with the Irish way- it's KEE-an, less emphasis on the 'an', in fact the a is barely spoken and it can sound more like keein sometimes. It's written with a C because there is no K in the Irish alphabet ^^


Also, about Crobidoll, they say their name is a portmaneau of 'Cross' and 'Ambition' so crow-bee is the right pronunciation

I think it's Doh-moo-yah, they call their website Domu-net, and 'ya' is a Japanese suffix added to shops, so 'Domuya' would be like 'Domu-shop'? I know they're based in Singapore, but that's what I presumed they were going for so I use Japanese pronunciation ^^;
