How do you pronounce "Leeke" and other company/sculpt names?

Ah now....after these years I can now finally find out what I was supposed to be saying.
I hope , though I think were all stuck.

Luts - nuts....it just looks that way but I couldnt make myself say loots now.
Ipplehouse - eyeplehouse , never thought of IPP o.O

I've never actually talked to people about doll companies, though, so by 'say' I mean 'think'.

pepperlooney- I say them the same as you! I could never say them like lutes or (n)ipple house.

 

You are really close there, it is pronounced lee-keh- world if you read the Korean on the site ^^

I'd say Cuprit as "Coo-Pri" (sort of sounding French ),
and Homme as " HOM" (as in, NomNomNom )
And I agree with how you'd say Beryl - Beh-rill / Berrill (Or like Merrill from Pokemon!)

 

I pronounce Luts like LUUTS but I'm alone here to pronounce this word in this way. A lot of people here in Russia pronounce it L[a]TS.

but I would pronounce Cuprit as kew-prit, like the thing you play pool with.

 

I'm spanish so my pronunciations are "spanish-like" or so... xDDD

I had to "copy-paste" some of the pronunciations because I couldn't find a word to match my own pronunciation xDD

 

so what about Dot's E-AN?? i pronounce it like Ian. eee-anne(i named my E-an from Dot E-anne). does anyone pronounce it EEN? like lean? or mean?

 

Hmm... E-an... I think the right form should be the one you say "ee-anne" but I pronunce it like.... the "e" part like in "pet" and the "an" part like "anne".
I'm not sure if you understand me xDDD

 

I pronounce E-an as E (the alphabet) - un. Probably 'cos I'm Chinese, and most Asian Languages have a different way of pronouncing the 'a' sound from English.

 

Same for me, although I’m not Asian. (^_^)

As for Luts… Like “nuts” but with l, I guess.

Luts = rhymes with nuts XD
Iplehouse = Eye-pull-house o.o
Dollshe = Doll-shee (I like that better than 'dollsh'...)
Migidoll = Meegee doll
Volks = as in volkswagen

DOT's E-an = either Eh-ahn or Ee-ahn
Delf Lishe = I've always pronounced it Lish, but I do like the idea of Leeshay o.o
Delf Yder = Eedah (I actually found a Korean pronunciation generator of sorts, and it pronounced his name this way. I love it )

That's all I can think of to take note of XD

Maybe because I'm dutch.
I also pronouce alot of english names like someone from holland would do it.
Nuts with an L, and Iplehouse like Nipplehouse without the N.

I'm Korean and Luts is pronounced like loots. not nuts with L. Yder is ee-der. not ya der.

 

Once, I was at a convention when I saw a girl who had an Iplehouse doll with her. I was so ecstatic to see an Iplehouse doll in person, that I started to tell my mom and friend about how much I'd wanted a different Iplehouse doll. When I said "eye-pull-house," the girl corrected me by saying "ipple-house." I went from pure excitement to embarassment.


I say "eye-pull-house," Luts like cuts (though now that I think about it, loots is probably right), homme like home (out of habit D: ), Ducan like doo-ken (except when I mistake it for Duncan xD), Soom like doom, E-An like ee-ann, and Yder like ee-der.
