1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your BJD, clothes, and accessories?

Feb 5, 2015

    1. I'm glad you like it! Works well for me!

    2. i store my dollies inside a plastic lock on lock container, but still thinking of the best way to store them.... and the clothes too

    3. I don't have tons of dolls or clothes at the moment. The dolls are in their original boxes and all their clothes (which is like a total of 2 outfits and a couple of wigs) are in a huge cereal box. Once their shelf is built, they'll be sitting on that instead.

    4. Sorting my outfits into baggies helps with space some, but you have to squish all the air out before sealing them. Otherwise they'll be bulky and take up MORE room. It's good for keeping outfit pieces together, though.

    5. In ziplock bags in boxes below my bed. My dolls are currently on a shelf though I would like to buy a glass showcase sometime to put them in.

    6. I just keep mine in a box >_< but i think sooner or later this box wont be enough

    7. I'm half packed right now so I've stored most of the accessories, cloths, items i wish to use in the future and so forth in the boxes they were shipped in (not the doll box the brown package box) tapped it up and put it under the bed for temp storage. Meanwhile the dolls hang out in a writing desk hutch which i usually keep closed (so I don't walk into the corners) which has done a good job of keeping dust off of them, keeping dog hair off of them. Keeping the cat away, keeping the sun away, so forth. Also a generally good place just encase someone comes over and I don't want them to see.
If I get to keep this hutch I would free up the space on the bottom shelves and get stackable small drawers. put their items in those and sort that way. Probably also put all the supplies for face ups in the bottom as well, so everything is in one place and easy to find.

    8. my dolls are always out where i can see them, but all the extra clothes and props are stored in rubbermaid bins. the large props like furniture are somewhat jumbled together with everything in one very large bin, except for my dollhouse sized furniture which has a small bin of its own. everything else (toys, clothes and wigs) are sorted by general size of doll they fit, and stay in one or more clear plastic bins per size so i can easily tell whose bin(s) i'm grabbing. all the dolls of one size share a bin, even though they may or may not share what is in it.

    9. All my dolls lives on their shelf and I put all of their things under my bed in a big box.

    10. I would personally love to make a little wardrobe and put all of the clothes in there ^ - ^

    11. I keep my dolls on a shelf and I have a big tin can that I put their clothes and other supplies in.

    12. A little plastic box! :3

    13. I'm struggling with this issue today! I have half a closet which has been stacked with boxes of props and furniture ever since we moved 3 years ago and I got rid of the wicker shelf that used to be my dollhouse. The dolls themselves are pretty space-efficient on sconce shelves on my bedroom wall, but their spare clothes and shoes and wigs and eyes as well as a very great deal of crafting, beading and sewing material is kind of randomly scattered between multiple tupperware bins and shoeboxes shoved under my bed. I spent a few hours trying to organize it today then had to take a nap in defeat. *_*

    14. I have a trunk or "footlocker" that I keep all my BJD related items in. It includes all their shoes, clothing, accessories and even includes some furniture that is not currently in use. The smaller items are in boxes that sit inside the trunk. It helps to have everything in one place, organized and away from my pets.

    15. I have a smallish walk in closet, and it is mostly dedicated to my dolls. It is basically their room. I have an American Girl doll wardrobe for them, various pretty boxes I got from stores that I store their clothes and stuff in. My dolls sit in my dark closet to protect them from the sun. I have a lot of inside animals so I keep the window open all the time. I don't want to come home to yellow dolls one day because of the sun! Scary.

    16. great :)

    17. Got one of those indian trunk styled doll carry cases from LUTS - I store all the clothes, wigs, shoes, eyes and other misc doll related items in there so I know where to go if I'm looking for something (a bonus is that the trunk looks so cute! :) )

    18. I store everything in boxes. My dolls are in their original boxes and stored in large carton boxes to keep sunlight out. Then everything else has a box each. Wigs, shoes, clothing, accessories and doll stands all have a box each. I do end up with a lot of boxes, but I know where things are and its easy to just go to the box to get what I need.

    19. I LOVE THIS QUESTION!!!
Okay, sooo i only have one doll. Her name is Ester! I don't have a lot of clothes for her sadly... But all the stuff i would use to make her clothes, also her wigs and eyes are stored in a medium sized pink and white polka dot duffle bag. My room doesn't get a lot of light because i have dark curtains covering the window, so she sits freely around the room:kitty2
