1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your BJD, clothes, and accessories?

Feb 5, 2015

    1. My advice is, if you can, set aside a room or space just for the dolls. A large corner of my bedroom is basically a giant doll diorama. My BJD's live there happily full time. All doll closets, furniture, shelves, etc, all in that corner they rest. Trouble is the doll corner is oozing into the rest of my room....I can't stop getting things for them....

    2. I want to store clothing in tight water safe zip bags and probably go to Ikea website and see what they have for safe keeping of the dolls I was going to store them in my book shelf but need the shelf to be secured to wall. I will probably do some more research on how resin dolls are kept safe.

    3. My doll sits on the very top of my glass shelf where I put all my comic book statues. As for her clothes, I put them all in a binder with those clear plastic sleeves. When I’m flipping through it, some of the clothes pop out but it gets the job done.

    4. I leave my BJD sitting on my bed. For clothes and accessories, I store them away in a box. :3

    5. Thank you @Dino1Kidd my husband told me to put them in my glass shelf but that to is not secured:sorry and @littlej Bed sounds great if I lived alone:evilplot: I will find some spots for them.

    6. I have my dolls in their boxes, clothing in a bigger box, but i need to make it two...they have more clothing then i do..
I bought a little dresser, where i keep my wigs, and small craft things in drawers...

    7. I had a really large 3 ring binder that I was putting clothes in for a while, but because they're SD sized it filled up too quick and wasn't practical. Now I have a large basket I store most clothes in, and a chest/suitcase for what doesn't fit in the basket (wigs, props, shoes, etc...)

    8. My collection outgrew the basket I originally used and moved into a deep desk drawer, but recently it outgrew THAT so now all of my doll stuff lives in one of those giant slide-under-the-bed plastic organizers :sweat I wonder how long that one will last me lmao...

    9. So far, they are in a clear container until I can afford to get an actual closet for them

    10. I have a couple of large zip lock bags full of doll clothes and shoes and a medium container for wigs. I keep all of that in a drawer in my bedroom.

    11. This is what I think is going to happen with me! I'm still waiting on my RS Mei to come in, but in the meantime I've been playing around with Monster High dolls, and I've already had to move their clothes/accessories from a mint tin to a bigger mint tin to a jewelry bag that seems to have a little more room to fill! Once Mei comes, though, I'm hoping to have a more organized system....

    12. I've a 1.5 yo puppy who chews anything and everything, so I need to keep my most precious things protected (plus I've OCD, so I literally need to keep things neat). All my (slim) MSDs live in a dresser drawer, and the two SDs and the 20-39 cm dolls I keep in their original boxes in closets. Some of the MSD doll clothes are displayed on a doll clothing rack and the rest organised by size in pretty storage boxes. I use plastic sheets and card sleeves in a binder to organize the MSD leggings, socks, scarves, etc. I hope to get a glass cabinet to display the MSDs and small dolls in someday.

    13. I keep mine in the small “Rast” bookcase from Ikea. It’s 35$ currently! Very small for a chest of drawers but for me it’s perfect. I make all of my doll’s outfits so she doesn’t have many. The top drawe is my nightstand drawer so I keep my bedside things there. I keep her outfits/shoes/accessories in the middle drawer. The bottom drawer has sewing supplies and fabric.

    14. I don't have many BJD "extra" things (clothes, wigs, eyeballs, etc etc) but the few ones I do have I keep in a drawer in my dresser so its easy to keep everything in one place. Once I get more I'm planning on expanding to their own small dresser unit from IKEA or something

    15. It seems as my dolls end up in one of two places. On a computer box in my bedroom or on the shelf in my closet. The occasional sitting on the dresser hanging out seems to work currently

    16. I have two sets of small ikea cabinets with drawers. I have more or less split the clothes by size in one set of 8 drawers, and the other set of drawers has eyes, spare resin parts (hands, mostly), wigs, eyes, etc.

    17. Hello everyone !
I was just curious to know how do you stock you dolls clothes.
Do you put them in a box ? Or are they in a closet ?

    18. I have bottoms, hats, and accessories in a box, but currently all my tops and dresses are on little hangers on a dowel placed in between a table and a nightstand. I'm wanting to make an actual closest (or two, one tiny and one mini) some day, but just haven't had the time to yet. >.<

    19. Haha ! Thanks ! I understand because I'm waiting for my first doll to arrive and I just panicked because I don't have any space for clothes !! xD
So I'm searching for a way to stock clothes without having them all over the place and to be able to store them well x)

    20. I use those plastic, three boxed storage boxes. I place the clothes in Ziploc baggies to keep them flat and literally file them into place. Not stacked, that just makes for a headache to dig to the bottom of the pile.
