1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your BJD, clothes, and accessories?

Feb 5, 2015

    1. Oh good Idea !! And like that they won't have dust on them :)
      Thank you !

    2. I have three boxes with drawers under three of my glass cabinets where the majority is stored, divided by colors (as my dolls are pretty color coded) and packed by set in little plastic bags to avoid confusion.

I still need to label those... someday

    3. A storage cabinet seems a good idea to store doll clothes but unfortunately I don't have enough space in my room xD I could always buy a little one and place it somehow somewhere x)
Thank you for your reply, it help me with my problem ^^

    4. A small dresser with drawers. Everything labeled for ease of finding. Skirts and dresses together, pants, sweaters, then divided box for shoe and sock wardrobe. As you build your dolls wardrobe, you will appreciate great organization. Have fun !

    5. Thank you ! Yeah a great organisation is always good ! I don't want to search everywhere and have everything everywhere just to find a simple shirt xD

    6. Plastic storage bins. You can get the kind that slide under beds to keep space clear. And I use plastic bags to store individual outfits. I separate by gender and size: MSD, SD, tinies, etc...

I also have three-drawer cloth rolling carts. I keep wigs and shoes separate as well, and again sorted by size. :)

    7. Thank you ! I didn't even think about a storage for the wigs ! :ablink:
Unfortunately I don't have space under my bed xD
Really great Idea to gain space through ! :)

    8. Trust me, I understand completely about space. I don’t have much of it myself, but over the years I’ve learned a few tricks to create it. Bookshelves and those foldable cloth cube drawers are another good way to store items. Including the dolls themselves. :)

    9. I have tried a lot of different options over the years! I had a closet (hangers, dowel rod, etc) but I found it bulky and didn’t think my clothes were as protected as they could be. And some pieces always fell of the hangers. I also tried the binder method with the photo pages and still use that for my pukipuki clothes but it’s annoying because the clothes fall out of the little page pockets sometimes but it’s easy to flip through and find clothes.

My current storage for yosd and MSD is decorative photo storage boxes. Easy to stack, already have a place for a label. Small so each doll has its box and Saireth is about to need a second box :sigh

My sd clothes are in zip lock or plastic pages within a larger plastic stoarage bin. I needed it to be large enough - they’ve got quite a collection.

Wigs are by size in two different magnetic close decorative boxes. Well except puki...and some sd wigs...

My main peeve is my shoe storage. Most are in the clothes boxes at this point. But I love the shoes! I want to get a separate hanging display cabinet just for them :kitty1

Shoot now that I’ve typed all that maybe you shouldn’t ask my advice, I’ve got a hodgepodge :sweat

    10. I have an antique dresser that I have dedicated to doll clothes as it is very old and less weight is better for it and it's too beautiful not to use. It's a highboy so lots of drawers for everything. Small plastic baskets from the dollar store helps sort things in the drawers. I also make fabric covered boxes, each doll has their own fabrics and color schemes.

    11. Ahah don't worry ! I may use some of your advices ;)
Thank you for sharing this with me !

Thank you ! I just have one doll so I don't have colors schemes for doll but I will most probably use your method !

    12. I used to store them in a box but then they got too much and I needed a more organized storage system. Now I store the clothes in a dolls closet I already have since my childhood :D and I have to admit that its still quite messy, cause I tried to put the clothes which dont fit my dolls styles anymore in a box but there are now too many clothes in there and the box does not close anymore haha xD how do you store yours? ;)

    13. Thanks for your reply !
Well I don't have much clothes so there are just laying on my desk xD
I will buy some box for now just to not have it everywhere x)

    14. I like see-through boxes and labels, so I can find things quickly!

    15. I have 5 plastic storage boxes, kinda small will upgrade soon

    16. I have a lovely BIG false book that I store mine in! My girls live on my bookshelf, so it's kind of neat to be able to store their clothes on the shelf with them.

    17. I store them in a decorative box I picked up at Marshalls 1,000 years ago, but I'm running out of room. I'd like a more organized storage system. Perhaps a large clear container with built in dividers. That would be nice

    18. I have very few clothes, so I store all of them in a cute box with other supplies (facemask, magic eraser, eye putty...).

    19. In ziplocs, in plastic under bed storage totes.
I tend to buy more full outfit sets than individual items and keep the pieces together in ziplocs as large as the 2 gallon size. My under bed totes are big enough to lay 2 of those size flat side by side and stack a few outfits deep. It seems to be the most compact & protected but still reasonably accessible and organized option I've found.

    20. I made them a small closet. So i hang all the shirts, jackets, and other tops. The pants goes to a small drawer.
