1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your BJD, clothes, and accessories?

Feb 5, 2015

    1. How do you guys keep your doll clothes nice and neat?
Ive been putting them into two drawers, one for 1/6 size and one for 1/4 size. But as it is expanding slowly, it has become very messy with all the sets getting mixed up everywhere!
I need some ideas to keep my clothings safe and neat and hope youre willing to share! Thank you! :love

    2. Mine are in five drawers (under my display cabinets) organized by color. Each outfit is in a zip lock bag neatly labelled with the maker, shor outfit description and size.

    3. I'm pretty much having the same problem as you. My drawers for my doll clothes is really messy. I did think about possibly finding a trunk or something and making clothes racks to put in it but in not sure where to start with that project. Also I wouldn't have anywhere to put a trunk.

    4. Mine are in a drawer with my floating heads and coas. Except Loki’s cloak, which I hung up because I don’t want it creased. I don’t have a large collection though.

    5. I keep individual outfits in plastic ziplock bags and sort them in fabric drawers by size. I do the same thing with shoes, keep pairs in snack-size baggies and they have their own bins, sorted by size. Keeps things nice and orginized for me.

    6. I bought little hangers and have hung everything up, I use the mini pegs for hanging trousers and skirts buying only have yosd and tiny

    7. I only have a couple outfits so far so they're just on my desk by my dolls :XD: But when I get more I want a tiny wardrobe and to hang up all the clothes

    8. I have a wardrobe from target that's made for 18 inch dolls, it's perfect! I only have this picture of it, pretty empty right after i bought it.

    9. I keep mine in tiny plastic envelops inside a storage box. My mother is the crazy cat lady type so we have 20 cats and some of them are crazy about peeing on things, so everything that is not neatly packed end up ruined, thats why all my dolly things are keep locked when they are not being photographed.

    10. Like TheKidAbroad, I also have a doll wardrobe. Mine came from a yard sale and it's pretty old, but works great. I currently have it filled, however, and am looking to get another two similar ones so I can have one for each size. Right now I have everything mixed together. >.<

    11. I have a spare room dedicated to doll stuff.

Some of the dolls have a bedroom diorama, and their clothes are stored in the dresser/wardrobe/other storage in their rooms.

For the rest, I have a chest of drawers, and each remaining doll has their own plastic tub with their name on it where I keep their clothes and accessories. (You can get shoebox sized tubs for about $2-3 at WalMart, Dollar General or similar stores).

And for the super fancy clothes like suits, formal dresses, cosplay, winter coats or anything that shouldn't get folded or wrinkled, I have a bunch of doll sized hangers and hang it all up in that room's closet! (18" doll hangers are perfect for SD clothing, and you can get them on eBay or at HobbyLobby or Michaels.)

    12. I've been keeping the wardrobe in an unglamorous shoebox. Most of the items are MSD and I have far more clothes than my dolls need, but at least they fit nice and flat in the shoebox! But seeing the size of y'all's wardrobes, I miiight have to upgrade in the very near future! :O

    13. Right now, they live in character boxes. That means, each of my characters has his or her own big dedicated box. As they are all 62+ cm (the majority being 70 cm men), the boxes are really big.

    14. I save all the plastic baggies they came in, bought some ziploc bags, and the clothing items I don't use, I keep wrapped up and in a drawer (which is actually starting to get pretty full @_@).

    15. I recently moved, so they're currently in plastic bags but have their own section on a hanging storage thing. I've got one YOSD and one MSD, so their clothes are separated by size as well as any props I have for them.

    16. Large tupperware containers. Each outfit has its own ziploc bag and is labeled with size and a brief description. Shoes are packed separately, and I also have a miscellaneous accessories bag.

This thread makes me sound 100% more organized in life than I actually am. :thumbup

    17. I recently just bought these boxes for my two SDs and plan to use the biggest box for my girl since she will have dresses/etc, mid-size box for my boy, and smallest box for shoes & accessories!

    18. I use storage containers from Daiso or Muji

    19. In ziplock bags and predominately in two vintage suitcases (one for boys, one for girls). The... uh... overflow goes into large gift boxes.

    20. All of my doll things are currently stored in a decorative box I received a birthday present in a few months back. Ideally, I'd have a fancy storage chest or dresser for them.
