1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll?

Jul 9, 2010

    1. I keep all of my dolls in a box; the only exception is that I keep Yasu in my armoire with closing doors. I keep them all in their clothing and have never had an issue with staining. I've had one default wig leave a light stain on the head but nothing horrible.

    2. Ah yeah, that's a good point! I didn't consider that having a doll idle with clothes/eyes/wigs/etc on would be a factor. I fully plan to leave my doll dressed for the most part; I guess I'll just have to be diligent about checking for staining before it becomes an issue. Thank you to those of you who mentioned that!

    3. I have 3 in a box at the moment, because I'm moving, but I have 2 out at the moment, a Luts Kid Delf, who was a first, and my Dollfie Dream Miku, because personally, I couldn't stand leaving mine in boxes, for me, they're there to be loved and photographed and played with.

    4. I have a cubby shelf that I like to keep my dolls displayed out on. ^_^ I place Serenade there sitting down when I'm not doing anything with her, as the shelf is in an ideal place where the temperature is moderate and the curtains keep the sun out. It's also the most stable place and one of the only places where my pets aren't allowed.

    5. Mine stay on my dresser. My Minifee is small enough that I like to keep her in my bedside table drawer! I don't like the idea of putting them away in their boxes or stuffing them in my closet, so they are best there. I have room darkening, black curtains so the sun is always kept away.

    6. Mine are sitting on a shelf. My MSD/YOSDs are on the taller dolls' laps cause that looks just adorable haha.
I do want to see if I can free some space somewhere or remove one of the partitions in my shelf to give them space for standing though! Or like... put chairs there for them to sit in their own little space.

    7. I just keep my dolls on the desk. I leave them in their bags sometimes when I'm about to go on a trip in the following days and I have no extra time to pack them any other time.

    8. I built shelves onto the wall covering one side of my bed room. That's were they hang out when I'm not home.

    9. I store mine on a shelf where the sun can't reach them. I always keep their clothes on; I like to be able to look at them when I'm on my computer or watching TV :)

    10. Sometimes in the box and sometimes on the desk XD

    11. If I haven't been playing with them, or if I don't plan on playing with them for a while, they go back in their original boxes and then into the closet. Otherwise, you'd find my dolls sitting on my desk, on my bed, etc. :)

    12. I keep my boys and one girl on my dresser in my room, I like them to be close. :)

    13. My dolls have their display spot in luminated glass cabinets, in my living room. Away from direct sunlight. But some around my TV set, so I can watch them every time I use my coach.

    14. My dolls have taken over two shelves on my book case/dresser. I plan on building shelving units for them eventually

    15. Right now they are in a bookcase. My plan is to build them a "house" about 6 ft wide, 7 ft tall and 2 ft deep. I want them out where I can see and enjoy them. Maybe I can put glass doors on the front. Hmmmm.

    16. My doll is stored in my clothing drawer at the moment x-x
have to make some room for him

    17. I dont have any place :(
Now sit my BJD on the Bookshelf, with other Dolls (Monster High and Ever after High)
My Pullips have a own shelf with Furniture.
The Outfits of my dolls in furniture for Dolls and boxes.

    18. My only doll is currently just sitting in my room's shelf with small bears in his arms. Away from the sunlight, if you're wondering. I like to see them sitting there as I enter. Makes me feel at ease when I come home.

    19. My oldest doll sits on a shelf on my room, and my other two dolls spend all of their time in their boxes because I was out of the hobby for awhile and thought it was best to keep them stored safely away, since both are in new condition. I would like to get proper travel cases for them at some point, though, since I'm easing back into the hobby.

    20. Where my dolls lives depends ^-^ if my kittens arent staying in my room then my dolls are out on their shelf displayed
however if the kittens are out and about i keep my dolls in my Doll leaves box as well as my doll chateau box (i don't like storing them "alone" since i dont want them to be "lonely" all by themselves)
i live in a daylight basement so as long as i keep the window curtains closed it hardly gets any sunlight ^-^ as for the staining i only have one doll with dark pants so hes the only one i'd have to worry about so i'm going ahead and sealing him to try and help with that ^-^ as for your doll sealing it could help as well as maybe if it would work making super light weight cotten pants to go under the dark ones that are white or something as a layer between your dolls resin and the dark pants (kind of like a wig cap to protect against dark wigs ^^)
