1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Jul 21, 2011

    1. i keep my BJd clothes in a big box i got at target. i keep all the shoes is a big ziplock bag that came with one of my bjd wigs. i keep all my bjd wigs in a another box.

    2. i use clear plastic boxes separated by size and type so i can easily tell which bin i need. they are in a walk in closet so convenience is more important than looks to me. someone i know uses those large i week pill containers for tiny shoes, 1 pair per slot. i tried that but have waaay to many shoes so recently picked up some bead/button boxes with movable compartments and one of those holds all the shoes in one size, before that i had my shoes in ziplock bags but it was too hard to find the pair i wanted that way.

    3. I have a plastic mini dresser-like box which I keep spare wigs, eyes, face-up protectors, and clothes in. The best thing about it is that it's in scale with my smaller BJDs, too!

    4. In their company boxes :3

    5. My wife and I now have a 4-drawer dresser just for our doll stuff: one drawer for clothes (overflowing!), one for wigs (also overflowing...), one for their papers and spare parts (strings, S-hooks, eye putty), and one for accessories (eyes, alternative heads/faceplates, shoes, props, etc).

    6. Ummmmm, I have one of those plastic storage stacks with 3 boxes. I kinda stuff everything into one and a halls of those boxes....being a guy its kind of second nature to do that. But the shoes go on top of a shelf I have with a bandana over them to keep off the dust. If I go to look for something, most likely i'm going to dig for a while.

    7. I have a drawer just for them in my dresser at the moment. Might need bigger bins in the future

    8. I use a shoe box. lol I don't have many clothes for Marc though.

    9. I just store my girl's clothes in her box (to which she was sent). She has only one dress, panties, and stockings so it is not difficult to accommodate for the moment. But I dream to create her a real dressing room and especially to fill it ^^.

    10. each doll has their own fancy little box with their name on it for their small stuff (jewelry, accessories, books, food etc) and the wigs are stored in a clear, separate box. Shoes and clothes are stored in a tall, transparent three drawer plastic shelf thing. xD One drawer for each doll. ...but sooner or later I think I'll be running out of room... O^O i kind of wanted to buy a dolly wardrobe but I don't think I'd be able to fit everything in there xD

    11. Wow this would be very helpful if I was a patient or orgainized person. Good job

    12. I did a search but could not find any discussions on this previously. Please let me know if there is a known thread.

What do people do for there bjd clothing storage?

My stuff is in various box's and attempt to separate by sizing. Admittedly the more varying my doll sizes become the less space I have.

I'm contemplating making a bjd closet with coathangers etc as I think that would be cute and a great way to organise items.

      Has anyone done anything similar?

    13. I currently have a random fabric bag that my dolls' clothes are stored in, but I remember seeing someone here that had a wooden jewelry box that could be used as a chest-of-drawers of sorts. That way you could store the clothes AND have a nifty little prop! ^u^

    14. Somehow the clothes have multiplied. Since I've 7 Sd's the original idea of plastic shoe boxes for each doll's clothes has become woefully inadequate. so what now? Two large suitcases (thrift store), with the clothes inside held in individual bags, each bag has shirt or blouse, bottom, accessories and if a special wig is required. that is included. Those shoe boxes hold wigs and shoes, sorted by gender and size.

These are all things that go under the bed safely -- or happily, the doll closet.

    15. I make little closets for each doll :) i will do a tutorial one of these days.

    16. I have many things with doll clothes. Smaller dolls have photo storage boxes. My SD boys have a trunk, the MSDs have a rolling cart with drawers for their clothes. Dresser drawer is full of shoes, another with random clothes and stuff.

    17. My favorite dolls have their own rooms with either trunks or closets for their stuff. The rest are stored in a small drawer set or in one of those shoe racks that hangs on the closet door with all the little pockets. :)

    18. I have a miniature dresser i bought at a craft store i store my littlefee Briella's clothes in. I painted it pink with polka dots. She needs another dresser though since i keep buying her things ><.

    19. Currently I keep their clothe in money boxes, though I want to get a jewelry organizer that looks like a set of drawers, I haven't decided on which on yet. The money boxes are not really working as good now that they have more clothes.

    20. Thanks for all the fun ideas. I forgot to mention that I too have two jewellery box's/ drawers that I keep things like sock, stockings, leggings & scarves.

I'm thinking for my dolls dresses I may make a box into a closet and get some little coat hangers to hang off wire.
