1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Jul 21, 2011

    1. I found a doll sized wardrobe in the second hand store. I keep my favorite clothes and shoes in there. The rest are in various plastic boxes in my own wardrobe.

    2. Everything is just tossed into a dedicated drawer in the dresser I usually set them on. Unfortunately, it's getting quite full and becoming difficult to find what I'm looking for, so it's time for a new system! It's important that my guys' stuff is easy to grab, though, because I redress them a lot...

... we're constantly looking for socks.

    3. There are some great ideas here. I don't have my girl in yet, but now I can plan out a storage solution. Thank you for sharing your ideas! I'm going to hit the thrift stores/flea market this weekend and see what I can come up with.

    4. I was lucky enough to catch the Pink Ribbon Sterilite Storage Boxes with hinged lids when they came out. I have 3 all full of MSD outfits.

I have have more white ones that are stackable, & I put Hello Kitty clings on them.

    5. I came up with a wardrobe design and made a 3D model of it.
Gonna get it commissioned :) ill probably come up with more designs for shoes storages etc when i have the time xD

Theres hinges on the back of it so you can open and close it easy.
Close it when not in use to keep the dust away ~

One thing i didnt add into it are the Straps..
Havent decided how i would lock it yet >.<

    6. I use a rainbow craft drawer system to store my clothes and stuff in. but the drawers are not very deep and the system is kinda cheap so i will be changing this thread was great for ideas so thanks! i have 10 dolls all various sizes...sorting by size is near impossible XD

    7. Lol, that is why I sort by category (clothes, shoes, wigs etc) instead of size!

    8. I keep my dolls' clothes and shoes in a small Rubbermaid tote. I keep their shoes and jewelry in Ziploc bags in there so they don't get lost.

I do have an antique jewelry box that is like a dresser, but it's too small for all their things now.

    9. So far I have few enough clothes that I can keep them in one small box, though that's while keeping my sale-clothes in a separate box too. But I don't want to keep it that way forever @_@ .

For my dolls, their concept actually entails a small doll clothing store, where enchanted dolls run a small business for other dolls. I eventually want 'props' that go along with this idea, including clothing racks, shoe stands, and models and racks for clothes!

I went to a brick-and-mortar doll store recently, Fabric Friends & Dolls, and they had this awesome little model stand the perfect size for MSD girl clothes, plus a little spinning rack that could have held small jewelry or hats! Unfortunately, it wasn't for sale, but I'll have to keep an eye out for more since apparently some craft sell them.

They also had a simple wooden clothing rack, and I debated buying it, but it was so simple, I'm considering making it myself before spending the money. I also want a large wardrobe closet! Oh, I want a lot of things XD . Hm, though if those things still weren't enough to hold all the doll clothes and shoes I eventually get, I'm not sure what I'd do about storage then... Make more racks XD ? Probably just a storage box or shelf.

    10. i keep all my doll's stuff in cigar boxes i got from a cigar bar/store near where i live...the SD have one for boys, one for girls, MSD same, one for boys one for girls, and my yosd has one just for her...and their wigs and loose heads go in 2 other boxes...along with their shoes in a seperate one...

    11. I am a trunk addict. i have a doll trunk for every size doll I have.

    12. I have an actual doll wardrobe about 2.5 feet tall and wide, with space for hangers, little drawers and a big mass storage compartment. It's too small to hold everything I have now, but still usefull nonetheless.

...I must confess I can be quite lazy about folding and storing everything away neatly, so there's a lot of doll clothes scattered on my bed right now. >A<

    13. I have a plastic set of drawers that's meant for stationary that I just got from Howard's Storage World in the 'Home Office' section. The drawers are about A4 size, and each is about 10cm tall, there are 5 drawers. I have one drawer for tops, one for pants, one for outerwear, one for shoes and one for accessories and spare parts. (: It's getting pretty full now though. > >' lol.

    14. Right now I just use the plastic drawer sets you can get anywhere. We are hoping to buy a house next year and I can get my craft room back and I will hopefully be way more organized then.

    15. I am just starting out in the hobby as well and this was really really helpful!!! Thank you so so much!

    16. I currently don't have a closet of any kind. As I don't have that many clothes as of now. I've seen few companies that sell furniture but I'm personlly think of commission someone for custom-made closet, bed and sofa altogether for all of my dolls. I wouldn't want to buy them individually. Sounds pretty good, right?

    17. I keep most of my clothes folded in this metal lunchbox and I have a drawer for my wigs. I like to display my extra shoes on my shelf next to my computer. I would like to get a whole drawer setup and closet for my dolls though

    18. large plastic box with a locking lid, which is getting to small now and irritating to dig through for stuff, some is also in my volks bag...its pockets are bulging with stuff as well, i think its time to buy something better

    19. don't remember if I already posted here......

I keep most of her stuff in a wooden bread box and the rest in a small shipping box
I'd love to get her a closet/dresser someday though

where did you find a doll sized trunk? :o
