1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Jul 21, 2011

    1. I have a cute and convenient pink shoe box that I keep everything in currently, but it is starting to overflow!

    2. I have plastic boxes to store all the clothes, shoes and accessories

    3. I'm planning on getting a small see-through box to store my BJD's wigs, clothes, shoes etc. Although, I don't have a lot of clothes right now it's best to think ahead. :)

    4. I don't really have much stuff currently so everything just gets stored in the doll box my doll came in, including my doll :sweat Though I think the plan is to get some plastic boxes of various sizes when things start overflowing.

    5. For the clothes, I have a cute box I bought. It's one of those you can buy in different sizes for making presents or storing things. It's shoe-box sized, so it is easy to store. The biggest dolls I own are Pukifees, so the clothes aren't that big.
As for the wigs, I only have one extra per doll, so I keep the one they are not using in the doll's original box.

    6. I store my dolly clothes in a huge Tupperware container with a snap lock lid, my wigs are in a plastic bin and I have a small doll dresser for other stuff like socks, jewelry and so on. I bought 2 small chests at a craft store, painted them and store shoes in those!

    7. I have a metal box that used to store make-up in that is now too small for my BJD stuff XD I need to find another way to store~

    8. I have a trunk for the SD sized boys, a couple of plastic shelving units for MSD sized boys and girls (not the slim ones), a dresser drawer for SD sized shoes (both sexes), a plastic container for the SD sized girls, tubs for wigs, and photo or keepsake boxes for Minifee boy and girl and the tinies.

    9. I've just gotten started, and my dolls won't be here for a while yet, but I've already started to get their wardrobe ready while I wait for them to be made.
For now I'm keeping them in a shoebox. I don't think I'd ever get a mini closet, but I can certainly imagine the collection outgrowing the shoebox.

    10. To those who have tried different storage solutions:

      Which have you tried?

      Which have you liked best?

If you were starting all over again, what would you have planned for? Would you have changed anything?

    11. i got special boxes from ikea standing in a shoe-rack. and every style has its own box: wigs, shoes, trousers, shirts and so on. This way of storing I can find what I am looking for withouht assorting my whole clothes and stuff

    12. I fold/pack clothes in plastic bags separately and sort them to Kimono type, Casual Type, Classic type, accessory and underwear, shoes and put into boxes.

    13. I'm finding that the large beading boxes work well for me and I'm labeling the outside of each so I can see at a glance what's inside each.

    14. I don't have much stuff right now (ordering for dolls that I don't have yet), so it's all packed in a large ziploc bag! When my next order comes in, I'm sure I'll be swimming in clothes, so... x.x I'll need to come up with a different system.

Maybe I'll buy a set of cute tupperware and label each container with what's inside it? That seems nice, and stackable too.

    15. I have a little drawer set that I keep all my doll stuff in. There's a drawer for eyes, wigs, and the different sizes of clothes I have.

    16. I keep them in the plastic wrap they come in when not in use stored in both plastic containers and a wicker box. The box may move out as it likes to snag things a bit. But shoes, wigs and eyes need their own storage soon.

    17. I have one of those plastic three drawer file cabinet things with wheels. >.<
I want to make a little room for my dolls at some point though so I'm going to either get or make an MSD size wardrobe. :3

    18. Before I moved, I had all my dolls stuffs in different sized plastic boxes - and each doll had their own color. Those boxes were stored on a bookshelf, with dolls on top. Since I moved, most of the old storage system has stayed at my parent's house and my Mom keeps adding to them, especially when she keeps adding her own dolls to the mix :) For now, I had only taken one doll, Guy, with me. SO I got to start over with a storage system.

I love it! Now that I plan to bring back more dolls, I run into a dilemma. One one hand, I might just keep this and add more file drawers or I might look around for another solution. Either way, I think it's fun to figure out storage solutions to doll clothes/stuffs ^^

    19. Plastic (clip) boxes are my friends :)
One for shoes, one for accessories and a big one for clothes. Spare eyes I store in a small screw box. For wigs I also use a small plastic box which looks like a beautycase.

    20. Big plastic drawers for clothes(too many clothes!!), boxes for shoes:)
