1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Jul 21, 2011

    1. That's so amazing! I would love to have that one day.. *looks at Grandma in order to start persuading*

    2. Well, I don't have many BJD items as of yet since I just started collecting, but I've got a ton of other doll stuff, and I try to keep it somewhat organized. Dolls themselves live in my dollhouse, if they're short enough to fit in the rooms, if not they live on top of my dresser. I have a trunk that I keep the majority of my stuff in. Wigs are in a hatbox, inside the trunk. Shoes are seperated by style and kept in seperate drawstring bags inside a box. Clothes are separated by type and kept in clear bags, in a box, in the trunk (LOL). Same with accessories, separated in a way that makes sense in my brain, and kept in clear bags. I also have a small storage ottoman that I keep some of my favorite things in, so that I don't constantly have to go back to the trunk for them, haha. Everything in the ottoman is divided up as well.

    3. I have highboy style dresser that is dedicated to bjd stuff. The eyes and small bits I keep in a plastic organizer in the top drawer with their magic sponges, lint roller and hair fixing stuff. The wigs are in their original packaging or ziplocs. All the outfits are in ziplocs too. I bag them by outfit as oppose to separates as most of my dolls clothes are full set type outfits. My MSD stuff all currently fits in one drawer and the SD stuff takes over the others. (I'm running out of room there though. I'm gonna have to think of something to do soon.*_*) The dolls themselves sit on top of the dresser.
Their boxes are stacked on the closet shelf and have their pillows, face protectors and paperwork in them.
Faceup stuff (which I don't have much of anymore) is just mixed in with my art supplies.

    4. i have 2 small-ish wooden trunks for wigs and shoes and a small drawer unit for clothes but quite often things spill over onto the side so even though i try its doesnt always get stored in them as they are full so i also have a storage box!

all of their doll boxes are stored in my under eve closet which is full of their boxes.

face up stuff gets put into a box and sewing items i have boxes and drawer unit for these are in my computer room!

      these dolls do take over!

    5. Currently, I'm using various large hatboxes for clothes and accessories plus a large shoebox (Doc Martens) for wigs, elastic, and more maintenance-type knickknacks. Faceup supplies go in an artbox (and they are practically the majority of my art supplies anyhow). The dolls migrate around my living area depending on how I feel but they are never in direct sunlight! The boxes they came in are stacked up on a high closet shelf.

A more "sorted" organizing system would be dandy, but my current system works better for the space I'm living in.

    6. I literally have a dresser FULL of doll clothes.

As in... I got a full-size dresser for the specific purpose of holding all my doll clothes; I have a LOT. Each drawer is dedicated to different sections:

      TOP DRAWER:
organized in shallow boxes; Undies, hats, socks, jewelry, gloves and cloth sundries (ie, lace arcades, scarves, leg warmers), misc. small items and accessories.

      SECOND DRAWER:
1:3 size girl clothes, sorted by type; dresses, corsets, blouses, skirts, jackets, trousers, full sets.

      THIRD DRAWER:
1:3 size boy clothes (sorted), 1:4 size clothes (sorted), 1:6 size clothes (in a little open-top box)

      FOURTH DRAWER:
      Oversized and delicate clothing items

Shoes and wigs are in big IKEA storage boxes atop my shelves, with one box designated to each size and gender combination. (ie, 1:3 girl, 1:3 boy, 1:4 girl, etc)

It sounds a little OCD, but, I can always find exactly what I look for. ;)

    7. Like Doll Mage, I have a chest of drawers just for doll clothes. And even then I can't fit everything in!
I have one drawer for wigs, one for shoes, one for girl clothes and one for boy and tiny clothes. Then I have a doll box on a shelf full of my larger doll dresses.

    8. I have this really cute trunk that I store all of my doll stuff in, like extra clothes, heads, eyes and wigs. Face-up materials have their own plasticware container.

    9. I have an older Estee Lauder box to put my doll clothes in. I kind of want to upgrade to a closet for my dolls though.

    10. I love to see the pictures people have posted on how they store their stuff! It's so inspirational!

My doll rests in the box she came with (soo dusty, sunny and crowded everywhere. I'm moving out soon, and hope to find space to put her in).
Other than that I have one big box for clothes and shoes, a smaller one for wigs and an even smaller one (dollheart box) for accessories like eyes, hats, necklaces, gloves and such.

I'll need a new box soon....

    11. believe it or not i put all the clothes , shoes and acc inside the plastic from where they come from and put it inside the doll's box ~ :sweat
i have a small room (its not my real house , its a rent) so i had to save some space instead making more closet ~

    12. I would love to be more organized with my doll clothes & accessories but for now I just have an assortment of plastic storage boxes in different sizes & a couple of those cute Ikea drawer sets. I also use the Lati boxes & my Elfdoll Tiny keeps her clothes in a cute little tin. It works but it isn't terribly creative or attractive! I can find what I'm looking for most of the time . . .

    13. At the moment my doll have only two outfits. So at the moment everything he is not wearing, is stored in a small paper box I got from work. Not the best way to store them, but better than nothing.

    14. I have this cute little bedside table that has a cow cutout on the side (yes, I know, kind of lame) and on the bottom there's a drawer. I'll put a picture up sometime. I plan on keeping my Tania (in her bed that I still haven't found - not everybody has an ikea!) on top of ti and all my doll stuff in the drawer. :)

    15. Nothing fancy for me! I just stash my doll stuff where my cat can't attempt to eat it. I am currently using a desk drawer.

    16. I put everything in ziplock bags according to size, then store them in my doll boxes. Nothing special but I also don't have a lot of clothing and such.

    17. Since I usually buy outfits by sets, I usually store the outfits in their original packaging and put them inside big cardboard boxes and store those boxes in my closet.

    18. We keep all our clothes in some tall wicker draws up the side of the book case we display our dolls on. Its nice for them to be near the dolls. We also have plastic holders that are for fishing with all the seperate compartments for eyes, wigs, jewellry, shoes etc.

    19. I cleared out a deep drawer in my bookshelf and just neatly store everything in there. Often times I will put certain items in plastic bags: Accessories in one, tops in another, pants, hats, etc. or seperate them according to size or specific doll. It works well and keeps me from scattering everything across my room (:

    20. I got a pretty cardboard trunk from ACMoore and put a dowl across it to hang clothes. Shoes eyes and wigs are in baggies at the bottom of the trunk
