1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. Hat boxes :3

    2. teehee! So do I! It's my guilty pleasure.

      Sorry for the OT.

    3. The first shirt I bought came in a nice carboard box from dollmore and had a lot of room in it(and a free pen, I was so touched!), so I figured I'd stash Fall's outfits (three, so far. And he's not even here) and his wig in that. It's already nearly full. It's not big box.

I figure I'll clean out a shelf, and then maybe make him his own BJD wardrobe. I just like playing with wood. And like the idea of him having his own little wardrobe with everything on neat little coat hangers and his boxers and socks stashed in drawers...

    4. My boy has a little purple basket that I keep all of his clothes in. And right now, his wig and eyes are in there ... because I don't have his head to put them in/on. x.x The basket's really cute. It's purple, and it has a little bat on it. I'd take a picture, but m camera's having a problem connecting to my laptop. :[

    5. all of these storage ideas are great. it's interesting to see what everyone has done to keep there BJD things in order, or not. i will be getting more dolls in the near future. i will also get a sewing machine, beads and fabric, and all sorts of art and esthetic supplies. so i guess i'll need a people sized dresser with multiple compartments to hold everything!

but for now, Lishe has all her things folded neatly on her bed, or in a white shoe box. all my esthetics suppiles sit in a small brown cardboard box. and my beading supplies are in another large shoebox.

    6. I keep all of Soye and Miko's clothing in their doll boxes. The CH Ai box is huge, so I just store everything (including Miko's box and clothing) in there.

    7. that's sooo true... hahah.. at first usually u have little clothes.. then later it fills up... I plan to make a lil section in my closet for her clothes. but not sure yet.. my room are fill with soooo many stuff.. *Sigh*:sweat

    8. I'm terrible. Ellian sometimes sleeps with me when I'm down. I dont think of it as abuse I think of it as love XD And he loses his wig so at least they stay nice *puts his wig away* But usually my lil kids sleep on their lil reclining couch and ellian sleeps on a lil bed I made for him with lots of plushies.

    9. I started accumulating stuff for a girl doll about eight months ago; it's all kept in a big Tupperware containter in the closet. Now that I'm about to bring a boy home, er...I have no idea what to do. I don't think there's enough room to put costumes for him in the same box, so I might have to get a bigger one. My poor closet is pretty full already. :/

    10. Doll; clothes, shoes and wigs have taken over a dresser. Thank God the real live kids have left home. (Though I miss them, of course :aheartbea). I keep individual outfits in various sizes of ziploc bags. If you leave a little air in them it helps keep some things from becoming wrinkled. I have some wigs stored on styrofoam balls stuck onto the pegs of a Joanne's thread stand. Some longer wigs lay in shoe boxes. I have a compartmentalized drawer organizer that holds small things like undies and socks and BJD-sized jewelery.

    11. I have an dresser with one drawer set aside for my doll (I have a big walk in closet so I don't use it for me - besides art supplies ect.) and I put drawer dividers in there that I got at Ikea, so I keep his clothes (in plastic bags), his wigs, and his accessories separated and easy to access.

    12. Stuffed into all types of random receptacles : the boxes that they came in, their carriers, my yarn drawers, knitting bags. Okay it's a little scary!

    13. I don't have any BJDs yet, but I've decided to put all my stuff I'll get in my wooden chest my grandpa made me for Christmas. :3

But for my Pinky:st and Bratz dolls, I got a rubbermaid drawer tower.

    14. I am growing out of the shoe boxes!*_* It is interesting reading what everyone uses for storage: lots of tupperwear and rolling plastic containers, doll boxes, drawers, small trunks, etc.

I have got to come up with my own solutions!:?

    15. So far all the clothes I have for Lucy are kept in a tiny vintage suitcase. It's olive green and about the size of the average business man's briefcase. I found it in my old apartment! Funnily enough, I had one just like it in yellow when I was a girl, and kept my Strawberry Shortcake dolls in it.

I think I need some other organization, though. I hate everything just thrown together! So I might get a different case (like those drawers), or smaller boxes to fit in the suitcase.

    16. I emptied out the four drawers under my bed, which my anime collection had long since outgrown.

My big guys have two of the drawers, and Lucifer is supposed to share the other two drawers with the rest of my MSD sized guys...
lol, actually, Lucifer has since appropriated both drawers, and is slowly overflowing them! I expect he will eventually have all four drawers. ^_~

The other MSD sized clothes/shoes/wigs, that Lucifer doesn't claim, will probably end up in the storage box with the Little Jr. and Petite Ai stuff.

The tinies all have their own small boxes for their clothes and stuff.

One thing I do, is every time I get one of those little packets or containers of crystals that are for keeping things dry, I toss it in one of their boxes or drawers.
We have a problem with humidity here, and I figure it can't hurt! ^_^
Especially, when some of the outfits come with those packets tucked in them.

    17. My dolls don't have a lot of clothes. ._.; So I just keep them all in a few small boxes in my doll area, except for the ones that await my Kun's arrival! I only have one spare wig, and I keep that on the stand DollHeart sent with it. ^_^; Hopefully my collection of BJD clothes will get bigger, and soon, since I don't really have any boy clothes for Gatsby...

    18. hair accessories, jewelry, wigs (except for Isazu's long ones, which are kept in plastic bags) etc., reside in the plastic box which originally housed all their clothes. now that there are four of them, with much more clothing, i keep everything else including shoes in a big jumble in a small laundry basket. it's getting harder and harder to find what i need in there. i've got an eye out for a small chest of drawers, wooden or rubbermaid, whatever. after that i'll probably need a wardrobe

    19. Most of them are laying in a pile of in one of the shelves on my doll bookcase. One of D-chan's outfits is on display on a dummy that came with a Fashion Fever outfit, but otherwise I really don't take good care of them <_< The jewelry and shoes are in a small box, or placed randomly in D-chan's room. There's also a spare wig around here somewhere, but I think I lost it...

    20. I keep mine in plastic bins under my bed n.n;;;. One bin is for art/dollie craft supplies, one is fabric, one is wigs/shoes/eyes only and one is for clothes only. I hope to find a better system one of these days x.x
