It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I plan on building Aiden a little closet, and Merielle one too. ^o^

    2. I have a large doll clothes rack and hangers for most of the clothes and it sits atop my dresser next to the shelf where the dolls are.

    3. I just shove...umm..I mean 'carefully place' all my dolls' clothes and stuff in a small vintage trunk I have. It's not that big but it fills its purpose (for now) :)

    4. They're arranged carefully in a tower in the middle of my room, like the Daedric ones in the planes of Oblivion, except not nearly as sinister. The sigil stone keeps me up at night though. : /

    5. Ahh, I leave everything laying on the floor, except for wigs, which are stored on the branches of a dead ornamental tree I took from my office. My room is not really a room, but a basement storage area, so I'm used to living in a nest made of junk. But my mother comes along occasionally and puts the clothes in a big tupperware bin and puts eyes and shoes and things into little labelled zipper bags... which drives me insane! How am I supposed to find my stuff that way?

    6. i usually leave them in the plastic they came in (most of them came in some sort of packaging) and stack them in this little trunk i got before i got my first doll.

i'm going to be moving rooms soon so i think i'll look into getting a plastic container for them soon. the collection is growing and the cute little trunk can't hold it all!!

    7. What is it that you do to store your extra clothes, wigs, eyes for your dolls? I've been thinking about getting one of those plastic storage boxes you use for beading for the eyes and possibly wigs. I notice on the LUTS site they sell wig caps, which is nice, but they also sell hangars which I can see as being quite useful! ... if you had somewhere to hang them! XD I can't think of what I would hang those clothes on is the thing, or how I would go about storing them without them getting wrinkles otherwise.

    8. I haven't got anything to store yet, but I just thought that it might be fun to make your own wig stands out of modelling clay or something? You could just line them up and the hair would stay neat. Would look pretty cool, too!

    9. i put everything in one of those storage things that have pull out drawers on them, very nice to have, and i can organize everything too.

    10. In my dolls original box. I keep everything I'm not using in there. The doll box is way too big to lose.

    11. I got a wig stand from luts like last year. No wigs to put on it yet...
I have no idea where my eyes are...

    12. I put mine in some clothing bags. =\

    13. I'm wondering where you keep your dolls clothes.
Of course we have the shoe box solution but I'm looking for something more creative.

      pics are welcome! :)

    14. The plastic 3 drawer stacks made for scrapbook paper work well. The drawers are about 3" deep and a foot square, so things don't get buried in them. The drawers stack so you can add on. If you have a lot of things, there are bigger craft drawers. The drawers can be gotten at Joann's and Target, and probably a lot of other places as well. Watch for sales; they can be half off then.

    15. That sounds handy. I try and look out for them.
I would love to have a closet for my doll though. Then I can put all his clothing on a hanger..so cute!:D But I have not enough room for that.

    16. I dedicated one part of a closet to their clothes, and I have them hanging on little hangers, and I do have the small plastic drawers for smaller items that won't fit on a hanger..plus I bought a doll clothes rack from ebay and that is sitting on the larger plastic drawers and it holds more clothes and their shoes..
I'd take a pic of it, but its really messy right now...

    17. That sounds cute I would love to see a pic of that!
I may have some room left in my own closet for a small rack mmm...

    18. Lets see this is where i keep their clothes ^sakura is sitting on top of it.
