It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I keep my doll clothes folded like normal people clothes inside a doll-sized dresser on the floor of my room. I have various other furniture for them too. I have underwear,tops, and bottoms separated in different drawers, jewlery on one of the open shelves, and shoes on the floor next to it. Over where the shoes are kept, is a bar with hangers, for jackets. It's pretty cute.

    2. I have huge bag that I used to use as carrier XD
      When I move out, and I have more space, I'll store all wigs, shoes and outfits in wardrobe esp prepared for my dollfies ^^

    3. I've got a three drawer storage bin. All of Virgil's clothes in the bottom, Dorian's in the middle and various accessories, extra hands and extra dolly stuffs in the first drawer. It's about 2ft 2in tall and 12in across, so it's fairly small. Dunno what I'm going to do when I get my Harin....

    4. I keep most of the clothes on tiny hangers I made from some copper wire I had left over from another project. As for shoes and such, I keep them in a Pirates of the Carribbean collectible tin that came filled with popcorn (it was in individual bags, not loose in the tin, so no worries about getting food debris on my doll stuff).

    5. We only have a few outfits so far (sewing patterns are coming, yay!). I found an Asian-style jewelry chest online which is perfect as a large clothing tansu. Now that I think of it, I should probably line it with something, considering that wood isn't always good for fabric. Right now, all his clothes are stuffed in his carrier, waiting to be vinegar-rinsed/washed, and he's been here since Monday. I'm so disorganized...I hope to move to a larger apartment before long, in which case I'll construct a "room" for him, with drawers or cabinet space for his stuff.

    6. At the moment, I'm using a 6 or 8 inch deep cigar box to store wigs and clothes and shoes and accessories in. Hope to change that sometime soonish. ^^;

    7. At this moment my doll only has two outfits, so I keep them on the doll's box with his facemask, cleaning sponges, and other stuff. But since I'm sewing him more clothing, I'm planning to use another box to store them there.

    8. :) I just got mini moon a dresser off of ebay. She will keep her clothes in that also she will have to share with charles X.

    9. I have those plastic drawers they sell as space-saver kind of places. :P I fold things neatly and put it there.

      For wigs and shoes I put everything in baggies and hold them in a big canvas bag that hangs in my closet. :)

    10. Right now they're all in a spare suitcase, lol. When I move into my new apartment soon I'll be able to organize better. I actually plan on getting a doll-only dresser/chest of drawers that the dolls can sit on, and the drawers will hold all their things.

    11. I keep all my doll clothes (I have a lot of dolls, though only a few of them are BJD) in a particular cupboard in my sewing room, they are in different sized stackign boxes according to size/type of doll and, in some cases, seperate boxes for shoes, socks, wigs and the like.

      However, it is bursitng at the seams, so something else will ahve to be thoguth of (and my doll and doll-clothes making stash has areeady overeflowed into a stack of fabric stroage bxes on the floor in front of the doors, so space is already at a premium).

    12. My doll stuff is mostly in ziploc bags for now. I'm building a closet for the dollhouse, so that will take some time!

    13. I have a 6 drawer dresser DH made me years ago. I have in 3 drawers the clothes, 1 drawer has blankets and 2 drawers is my stuff. I also have 8 drawer plastic unit with wigs, eyes, and things to repair or do projects centered around the BJDs'. Now as for props, furniture and the like Thank God I have my own room for all of it.

    14. I put my stuff in seal bags per set, pair or individual items per doll who wears them. The bags get stored in stacking boxes, untill I find a nice drawer cabinet and the space for it ;)

    15. I have way too many dolls with way too many outfits and wigs. I actually bought a five drawer canvas organizer from Target. It looks pretty without seeing all the contents in it, and I was able to organize things, which I am so bad at.

    16. I leave everything in a medium-sized box, crafted from hemp I think (need to check), that I got from an art supply store on sale for about $2.

      Ah, and since my dolls have taken over the whole top bunk bed in my room, some instances of fabric and sewing supplies, or basically anything else doll-related has been sprawled about on the matress.

      I really need to clean it up a bit. :sweat

    17. I organize them in drawers/cabinets in their stage ^^; For instance, one drawer has pants, one has shirts, one has underwear and swimming trunks, the vanity has accessories and tools/supplies in it, cabinets hold their drinks and foods, etc... ^^;; It's basically organized the same way my own room is, but all of their furniture is on their stage.

      ... Maybe I went a little overboard, but it was the easiest and most familiar way for me to organize anything *_*;;;;

    18. Well...... I don't have enough to store ^.^;; *has really got to make more clothes*

    19. Hmmm....well, I keep most of my dollie supplies in a plastic shelf thing I got from Wal Mart. It's perfect for storing fabric, tools, small props and whatever else I decide to throw in there. As for the clothes and wigs....clothes go in small SD sized drawers that my mom got me at a yard sale, and wigs go....on whatever I feel like basically. Right now Finch's wig is on a pot that my boyfriend made for me XD The pot has a face on it so it looks like it's wearing the wig. I'll post pics if anyone wants to see.

    20. I've got various storage containers that I keep separated by doll. Keya has her own drawer, Heika shares a drawer with Yoshiki and Oak has his own drawer.
      Shoes, hair and eyes are kept in their own drawers as well. ^_^
