1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I don't think I've posted here before...so sorry if this a double response of sorts.

I have a clear container that is quite deep and has a wonderful snap lid I bought at the container store during their back to school sale. All of Rhiannon's clothes are in there. Her fur outfit and Apollymi dress are in baggies, the fur is in one cause it sheds like nothing else, and the apollymi dress was hard to make so I don't want it ruined or dirty. I have little spots for everything and have an empty face cloth container I keep the mr clean sponges, hair bows, little hair brush, and other smaller items in there so they don't get lost. Although I'm at the point where I have to double think how I want to organize things cause just in one container seems too disorganized to me. :sweat

All of that aside I have a plastic container meant for file folders that is full of fabric...might need another one soon.:sweat

    2. I actually have a really big tin Sumo lunchbox that I plan to keep all my doll clothes in (when I get her/them)

      She is on her way!

    3. I stuff their clothes into my desk drawer, but I eventually want to make a wardrobe like chest for them.

    4. Um. Poorly?

    5. Hahah! I store mine in my tin Beatles lunch box xDDDD

    6. I keep all my clothes (so far) in a carrier for my doll.. ^^; I need a better place to keep them

    7. I usually keep things in the bags they come in, if they dont come in a bag, I just put them in a ziplock bag and I put them all in a box at the end of my bed. For shoes I keep them in the box/bag they came to me in, otherwise I just let them be out on their own in a drawer in my room I keep some books in. For wigs, they stay in the bags they come in (or in empty bags other wigs came in) and eyes are usually stuck onto some extra puddy I have laying around or in the bags they came in.

...I should probably get something more organized! XD

    8. Toilet paper tubes!
They are the same torso size around as a kid delf. Ish. Loose clothes fit on them pretty well, really tight things will have trouble but won't stretch too bad.
That way I can line up his clothes on a shelf and keep them in view. Don't have anything for his pants, though.

    9. For my future dolly, I'm just gonna toss all his clothes in a sack. But that's before, I make a little plastic model torso that I can actually sew the clothes onto when I'm making them.

    10. In Tupperwares stacked in my closet. XD

    11. I keep all the clothes, shoes, wigs... in Ziploc baggies (the clothes fit nicely in the large and x-large freezer ones!) in a 15"x15"x30" storage unit with drawers I paid 20$ at Canadian Tire. Now it's much easier to find the clothes and much less of a pain then when the boxes were stacked in our closet ; I don't have to open box after box before I can find something... :sweat I have too many clothes, I probably should sell some! Plus, it actually saves a lot of space for... well, human clothes!

    12. Chucks shoebox.

    13. I'll probably keep it in the box and under my bed. :) I don't have much for storage in my room. But if I did end up with several dolls, I think I'll build a chest of drawers to keep it all in. (And by that I mean an actual human-scale piece of furniture.)

    14. I also use small plastic shoe boxes (clear) and cut a small square of dryer sheet about 4x2 inch and place it in the box with the clothes.

    15. In a large shoebox near my bed >_<

    16. I found this neat set of plastic drawers with tiny knobs. I can't remember the exact dimensions, but I'll post them when I get home. ^^ It's actually supposed to be an organizer for office supplies but... It makes wonderful storage for doll clothes.

I'm not too certain about the shoes however... I'll probably make or find a minature show rack and store them there ^_^

I also don't know if this counts but... But I found little wooden chests (about... 1" x 1.5" x 2" I think... ) that make great jewelry and accessories boxes. They have little details carved on them too o.o
Some are larger, which could fit socks and other such tiny articles of clothing in them ^^

    17. I have this cute litter clothes bin I found that is perfect for clothes and choes! :)

    18. Went from my Beatles lunch box to a drawer on my nightstand xD

    19. so far... in ziploc bags... my room is too tiny from another dresser and i don't have room for a box... my room is 11 ft x 7 ft yeah tiny! :sweat

    20. I bought a clothes rack that was made for Tonner dolls; it's the perfect height for all of my MSD girls clothes. Plus, because everything is hanging, I can see what she has.
