1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. All of Fabala's clothes are in a Hello Kitty tin lunchbox, while Kana has a rather large bag...>.>

    2. I stuff them all in Calliel's box on top of my closet (His company's box is the largest of my lot XD)

      Clothes, shoes, wigs, eyes all go in there...it's a biiiig mess Q__Q;!

    3. I have about 7 or 8 decent sized boxes (shoes box size)I keep it all in (and needing more) >> It's kinda taking over >.>

    4. I bought some plastic Sterilite cases with pink hinged lids from Walmart, and I have 2 for msd sized outfits and one for my YOSD/Bambicrony sized outfits.

      I also had an under the bed case that I cleared out for my SDG, but its empty now that I no longer have her.. so I have room for more clothes *_*

    5. I don't have that much clothing yet, but some of it is stored on a mini 'clothesline' I hung on my bookcase, held up with mini clothes pins. The other clothing and accessories are in a tiny japanese paper jewelery box that used to be my mom's. I have a small free-standing cabinet that I intend to install a rod to hang clothes from hangers on. It looks just like a glass doored wardrobe, and has a top shelf to store hats and things on. <3

    6. All of their stuff is thrown into a small suitcase because I have been travelling a lot lately and I am just too lazy to unpack it :sweat

    7. Currently - Rai's is in the packaging it came in cause he's not here to wear it :sweat
      Yuki's is in the front pocket of his carrying bag cause he's not got that much - well, his boots live in the original box they came in and i just take that with me if I think i'll need them but that's cause they won't fit in the front pocket lol ^_^

      I think if i end up with a lot, i'll get a mini wardrobe perhaps (cause it'd be sooooo cuuuute!) or possibly just some shoeboxes XD I dunno :P

    8. I use rubbermaid drawers for wigs, non-hangable clothes, and fragile props. Anything that came in its own box (like shoes or eyes), I keep in mini stacking bins. And whenever it's something I'd hang if it were in my wardrobe, I hang doll clothes on hangers (the American Girl ones that HomeSew.com sells fit perfectly on a ladder hook from a hardware store).

    9. I store all of mine in one big drawer that's in my closet xD

    10. I keep things seperated in ziploc plastic sandwich containers then keep those stored in a rubbermade.

    11. I found tiny clothespins at Michael's and strung up a "clothesline" for anything I can't just fold up and stuff into my five foot tall tupperwear tower.

      Which is rapidly filling up...

    12. I have these great cardboard "suitcases" that I bought at Ross' (I saw them at Michaels and A.C. Moore, too). They have latches on the front and a handle. Each of my dolls have a different color/pattern for their personal things. They stack nicely (and come in different gradual sizes, too), and they look nice sitting on a shelf or the floor, or wherever else I happen to stash them.... Small enough to slide under a bed, too.

      (There is a person on eBay that makes these boxes into beds and makes bedding and then you stash all the bedding in them (I believe she makes them for Tonner dolls, but that's the same size as MSD)).......same boxes I use.

    13. In a big bag.
      I'm going to surf through this thread to try to get some better ideas x'D;;

    14. I just bought a bunch of containers with drawers from Wal-Mart this weekend so I've stuck all my dolls' stuff in there. Wigs in one drawer, shoes in another, clothes in a third and so on.

      The clothes and accessories had been all stuffed in a bag until I got those containers so it's nice to have some organization!

    15. *cough* All of Aleksei's and Odii's clothes are thrown in their chair... alond with their wigs and random toys. Until I find something to put them in, I'm not moving them, because I know I will lose them ^^;

    16. I use a combination of trunks and chests. I purchased some antique travel trunks which I put their clothes in. First, I carefully fold them and then seal the clothes in plastic bags. Then, they are piled up by type. I've made some dividers to separate the clothes bags into neat piles. The wigs are also sealed in plastic, but are in another travel case, along side the shoes. The shoes are sorted into types and sealed as well. The eyes are in a nifty little box that folds out into levels. It's an old Chinese jewelry case, I believe. I sort the eyes by size per level and they are stored in little black cases lined in foam.
      As for their excess furniture and such, those are all in large plastic crates and/or in several tall white cabinets. I also collect AG dolls, which are a similar stature. So I trade back and forth between the boys and the girls. lol Of course, the boys have several sets of drawers that are scaled to them, which they keep their personal clothes in. It's kind of elaborate, but I like to be safe. ^_^

    17. They have their own drawer in my dresser, right next to my pajamas.
      Wigs are stored carefully in individual ziploc baggies and hands and parts are kept in one of the Dollmore clothing bags they keep sending me XD Everything else is folded... sorta :can't fold clothes very well: Shoes are kept in the front.
      Lae'l's extra head is in there too, safely tucked away from sunlight :3

    18. I've just got a sort of suitcasey thing from Ikea which is ideal for storing clothes. Its just long enough so SD13 trousers dont have to be folded, and big enough to hold quite a lot of clothes. The few wigs I've got that aren't being worn are stored in small plastic crates. All of which are kept under the low table that holds the dollhouse I built for my minis.

    19. I'd like to say i'm organized buuuttt....

      i have this sewing basket that i kinda just shove it all in. needless to say macabee has alot of wrinkly clothes.

    20. I'm so pathetic. I have a little pile on my bedside table.

      I have discovered that I can no longer sew. (To be honest, I never really could in the first place. But any talent I may have had has degraded. *_* )
