How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. Aww, I'm sure you can still sew. ^^

      Heh, I allllmost gave my doll his own drawer in my dresser... But from the amount of attention he's been demanding recently and his lack of clothes, he sort of lost that privilage.
      He isn't too happy with me either, and was literally glaring at me all last night.

      I am still trying to figure out how to store his wig though. It's black, so I'd rather not leave it on his head for too long.
      His tiny drawers do not have a lot of room though. Maybe I can make a mini wig stand somehow.
      -looks through the thread for more ideas-
      No idea where to keep his shoes either. Maybe I can sit them on top of his dresser.

    2. I'm absolutely horrible at keeping anything in order. I don't even have my books in alphabetical order.
      For doll stuff, clothes and shoes I've reserved to moving boxes, which are quite big. The other one contains all the fabrics and sewing equipment and doll-sized patterns. The other one contains all their clothes.
      And since I more than often get them mixed up, I had to sacrifice my final fantasy figurines boxes and use them to store clothes. Each box has a dolls name on it and then that dolls clothes inside it.
      But I rarely manage to keep them in order for long. Right now I have all my stuff scattered around my room. I keep wondering how I haven't yet lost anything.

    3. o.o I have 3 shoe-box sized serlite containers ^^ each gets one box (as I have 3 dolls) They also each get one because each is a different size >_>; Umm for sewing stuff I have another box (same size) since I dont have much sewing fabric yet 8D Which I put the boxes in my closet on the shelf in reach ^^

    4. I put all my dolls' stuff in cardboard boxes (IKEA's), different boxes for outfits, wigs, shoes, and accessories. For eyes, I put them inside my sewing case.

    5. at the moment i have three of these from ikea, i store clothing and accessories of my pullips, blythe, dal and bjds in there, and also some rement.
      soon i'll need more.
      they are very practical because there are adjustable dividers in them!

    6. At the moment.... all the clothes are in a plastic bag ^^; Wigs are stuffed into the bag ((fur only)) or go on the heads of Geisha, Sailor Moon, or CCS dolls ^^;

    7. Recently I bought a small drawer for my boys.
      It's not big, but it's enough for them, since they don't really have that much yet xD;
      So it's three drawers for their clothes, and the last one is for various things likey eyes, wigs, shoes and so on :3

    8. I'm the kinda person who doesn't like looking through their drawers and overly junk stuffed closet for their clothes so most I wear end up just thrown on the little couch in my bedroom :D;;; Though it might be used to sit my dolls on when I have more than one.

      So ya because I have my clothes out in sight, I have a free drawer that my doll will have all its clothes and stuff in. really big and deep. ^ ^

    9. My boys have their own pirate chest for their clothes. Found it at Joannes, was a GREAT deal, works great too. It's getting a bit crowded though, so I think I'll need to find another or a wardrobe soon. ^^;;

    10. I bought an ottoman to keep stuff in, but there's only one doll outfit in there and the rest is misc. junk of mine. I've taken over one of my fiance's cupboards in the living room and stashed art supplies and dolly stuff for now XD

    11. an old sewing case and sandwich zipper baggies. yep. all the wigs go in one bag, then i have my kids clothes in separate bags.
      1:Fayes Shirts
      2:Fayes pants/shorts
      3:Fayes Skirts and dresses
      4:Irukandjis shirts
      5:Irukandjis Pants/shorts
      6:all neo-go-guys clothes go in a bigger bag.
      and all the accesories and shoes are scattered about the bottom.
      and the whole thing goes on the floor....wherever.
      (yeah i dont have much of a floor, more like...heaps of random stuff :blush:

    12. I have two large white plastic drawer containers and they are all completely stuffed. I need another one pretty soon before it gets to the point where I can't get the drawers open!:)

    13. I store clothes in the box mine came in. ^^;

    14. Yyyeah, doll clothes do tend to... collect up.
      I have ziplock plastic baggies, one for each doll. They keep their outfits in those. Not neat and folded or anything, I don't really have the time for that.:sweat

    15. I put them in my drawer ^^

    16. I have this footstool which is hollow inside - all of their clothes wigs etc. fit in there.....yet.

      After it's full I'm gonna use their boxes which are kept under my bed :)

    17. She used to have a drawer and may get a new one. I found a small plastic three drawer thing that looked like my larger plastic drawers so I keep most of her clothes there now that I've downsize and gotten rid of all the stuff that isn't for her or any I plan on having. But I have also kept things in the box she came in esspecially now that she has a coffin to sleep in.

    18. I use my doll's box too :) But it's not very convenient, cause I have to keep it under my bed (couldn't find other place)

    19. I have a huge problem with doll stuff storage because I have a lot of smaller dolls. I really don't know where to store their clothes and shoes, there's so much that sometimes I don't even remember I have something particular. As for BJD clothes... this shall only add to the problem because his clothes, wigs and shoes occupy twice as much space. Currently it's piled in a box which I keep in my cupboard, but some stuff already got into the box where he sleeps, and he's not happy about it :) I need to find a solution.

    20. I store them in the doll's boxes under my bed. I recently sold a doll, so now I have a problem because I'm one box short in storage ;D We~eell, I guess the only way to remedy that would be to buy another doll so I'll get another box to put clothes and shoes in.

      Dollboxes are the perfect size to store outfits in without having to fold them.
