How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. A dollmore clothing bag I got for free. :P

    2. I have some empty shoeboxes I'm thinking of using, but I'm not sure it they'd be big enough for clothes for a 60cm doll or two. I can also use the box they come in, since I recently put together a decent bed using one of the storage baskets under my bed and some spare linen XD

    3. I have drawers under the cupboard my dolls are in and I store all the clothes, shoes and accessories in them. I have separate drawers for SD- and MSD-sized stuff. I wonder where I'll store the clothes when there's no room left in the drawers... :sweat

    4. In a box in the closet. And sometimes random pieces in my dresser.

    5. I made a dresser and a closet type thing out of old shoe boxes. I love to reuse stuff.:)

    6. Currently I just have enough that fit's in a small wooden dress I bought at Michaels and customized. Though I think soon I will need a bigger one to store clothing in, because there's only a couple tops and skirts in there right now and there's no room for anything else. >_>

It'll make a nice storage system for small probs though.

    7. i store thomas' clothes in a small tupperware container i bought at wal-mart. it cost me 2.97$ :)

i only have one outfit though :sweat
but it all fits nicely - it fits his wig, clothes, shoes, and certificate in there :aheartbea

when i get more clothes, i'll probably invest in another one... i mean they're 3$ - you cant go wrong with 3$

    8. Not that my boy actually has much yet...but I'm keeping his things in a beautiful trunk I got at Michaels. It looks kind of like a steamer trunk and I love the scale, Inside I've got a divided plastic box intended for storing beads that I keep his eyes in...I'm not sure what I'll do if/when his collection of stuff outgrows it, but I think I've got a while. All the clothing the poor thing has is a muslin robe, a scarf, and a half-knitted blanket. I'm still working out pants. XD For now at least the trunk works well for everything he's got, and it's nice and portable since it's light and has a handle. We're happy with it. :)

    9. I put all doll clothes into the box with drier (course Hong Kong is very wet during spring and summer) and put boxes in my wardrobe, I have separate the clothes by style (e.g. Chinese dress, western dress, Japanese dress - kimono)

    10. i try to keep all of them is a bag that i bought for my dolls... until they cant fit~ so now i just keep them in the doll's box... ^ ^;;; was thinkin of askin my bf to make a closet for me :P

    11. For now, I'm storing the clothes in ziplock bags inside my doll's carrier bag. But I would really like to get him something better.

    12. I'm planning to store any clothes and shoes in one of those little plastic drawer unit things. I saw one the other day and asked my mom for it (lol I had no money with me) but she didn't have enough and said "next time". I'll make sure "next time" happens. Actually, I keep my current dolls' clothes in a fairly big shoe box beside my bed @_@.

    13. I actually went to hobby lobby and bought a wooden box stained it and that has all of my doll stuff in it. It works great and for 5 bucks you can't beat it.

    14. I have a draw reserved strictly for doll clothing and are all kept in there original packing, but for my Ospirit outfits, I keep them separate in boxes.

    15. YES.

.. Either that or I shove them all in a tote bag.
Consequently they're always wrinkled, and frequently dirty. NOT UNLIKE MY OWN. :sweat

    16. I currently have all of my boy's accessories stored in a Korean pastry box. It has a beautiful embossed paper wrapping and has several smaller plastic compartments on the inside. It's PERFECT for his wardrobe, eyes, accessories etc.

    17. I keep my boy's clothes and spare wig inside his carrier (a sturdy makeup travel box) :D

    18. I have a fantastic set of 16 mini 'really useful' brand boxes for shoes and small clothes (socks, belts etc) they all have their own lid and are see thru, and altohugh you can buy them separately, these ones are racked inside one big box - so they're like a mini filing cabinet. what's cool is if i want to take a change of shoes etc to a meet i just pull the little box out and shove it in my doll bag as it is. :)
The clothes however just get thrown inside a big silver box from ikea. haven't got an ideal storage space for them yet!

    19. My storage solution:
Wigs - each size has it's own attached latch top see through container except for my tinies 2/3, 3/4, 4/5 share one.
Clothes - for each size doll or doll group I have a pretty antique wicker sewing basket assigned to them. All their clothes are in there along with their shoes.

One exception: Marie Antoinette/Peak's Wood Sky SD - all her gowns are hung up and she has a special chest of drawers and other furniture in her boudoir for her wigs, smaller clothing and shoes...

Boy, everyone has some great ideas on this!

    20. Right now they are sitting in my dolls box. I will probably put them in one of my many hat boxes (one that doesn't have some hats in them) or I might decorate a shoe box. I don't have much right now:sweat
