1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. Helena actually has her own little 4-drawer dresser now (found it in Michael's Craft Store for about $12). She only has about three outfits, so it holds all of them lol

    2. My three girls all share one of my sock draws, I had to clear it out for space for them, and their wigs are in the top shelf of my cuboard. It's kinda of too small, I need to up grade their space lol

    3. Hi everyone! I was just wondering, as I just don't seem to know how to do it, do you store your BJD's clothing, wigs and shoes? :? I can't seem to find a way I like. To be honest, I'd love to have a little wardrobe for them with coat hangers and such. What do you guys do? How do you keep the wigs safe from knotting?

      Let the discussion ensue ;)

    4. I got this from Wal-Mart: 7 Drawer Cart
I have miscellaneous small stuff in the top drawer, MSD shoes in the 2nd drawer, SD shoes in the 3rd drawer, Tiny clothes and stuff in the 4th drawer, wigs in the 5th drawer, MSD clothes in the 6th one and SD clothes in the bottom one. (I can be a little obsessive sometimes. >_<) At this rate though, I think I'm going to have to get a 2nd one. :sweat
The drawers are wide/deep enough that most of the clothes can lay flat. The only exception being my boys' kimonos or the SD size pants.
      Hope that helps. ^_^

    5. I keep them (includes my dolls) in a very big plastic box. :)
It's not very organized though... :)

    6. You can buy tiny clothes pegs in craft shops, I've got quite a few clothes for Gwenllian over a short space of time and I was thinking of buying some and then making a little 'washing line' inside my own wardrobe or a drawer and clipping her clothes in there. Or in stationery shops you can often find little desk tidies with drawers for paper-clips and staples that would be the perfect size chest of drawers for an MSD or tiny.

    7. well i stor all my kids clothing and things in on of the drors of my dresser, it all fits gust right all folded up nice and neat. ^_^

    8. They WERE in neat piles in a plastic container box; then they outgrew that, & became a pile on top of the container box; finally I stumbled across little hangers (for bear stuff, but who cares? Whatever works!) that exactly fit them and now everything is hung up neatly on hangers, and hung from the tiny crossbars of my closet's "grill" shelving in neat rows so the wrinkles can fall out when they're not being worn, and only the knit stuff that won't wrinkle or items that don't need to be hung (like undies) are in the container.

    9. I have an armoire in my bedroom that I use to store shoes ,wigs and clothes. I have boxes that are large enough to fit 2 wigs a a time so everything is in there nice and neat.

    10. I have a bunch of incredibly convenient storage containers from my childhood fascination with crafts. I think most of the containers I keep doll stuff in used to be art supply containers - I have a large-ish wooden confection with many little drawers that was given to me by a friend because she thought I could paint it up and make it look nicer than she ever could. Lol.

    11. I use... er... a shoebox. xD

    12. I have a huge, long storage container that's made of clear plastic.
So I organized all of my dolls' clothing into types, like shirts/pants/skirts etc., and put them in large baggies, took out the air, and now everything is nice and organized, and easy to find. :]

    13. so although my boy isn't here just yet I found this metal tin at work from one of my coworkers.... it's just a little christmas cookie tin in the shape of a chest ... so I thought... WAIT! why not?! So I'm planning on spray painting it black and then painting gears and such on it for my Aden's things. ^^

    14. I use a couple of shoeboxes, but honestly my crew doesn't have a lot of clothing. I guess it's like the shoemaker's kids going barefoot - everything I make goes out the door! ;)

    15. I do the same type of thing as Musical Bunny only I organize in baggies and tubs according to size. :)

    16. I made A trunk out of popsicle sticks for my girls stuff.
And for her shoes I bought tiny boxes at the dollarstore to put her shoes in.

    17. At first I decorated a shoebox but as the collection grew I realized a shoebox just wasnt gonna cut it.
So now I just stuff it all into a huge plastic bag and then stick it at the back of the wardrobe. XD
I'd like to make him his own little wardrobe for his stuff but I barely have enough space in my room for myself!

    18. Has anyone seen the really cool cases that Luts are selling? I'm getting one of them for my incoming dolls~ *_* It will be full of clothes really fast! xD

    19. I was thinking of getting one of those little sets of plastic drawers from Walmart. It's miniature! The perfect size!

    20. I don't have any special setup for my dolls and their belongings; I just utilize old shoeboxes and an old two-drawer filing cabinet for most of my storage needs.
