1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I just have big hat box and I keep the clothes, shoes and wigs, in their original plastic, in that. It's up on top of the wardrobe in the spare ("my") room, which isn't ideal, but every other nook and cranny in the small cottage is filled up with something else. I've decided to cut down on a lot of my other junk since I got into dolls, but I still have so much CLUTTER!

    2. I keep all my dolls clothes and shoes in my bedside cabinet. I also have a nice small cabinet that I intend to convert into a wardrobe to store my girls dresses in, but they don't have that many clothes yet so its not totally needed yet.

    3. I have a 3 drawer rolling caddy thing that I store my dolls things in. Wigs/eyes go in the top drawer, clothes in the second and shoes/accessories/toys in the bottom and my faceup kit sits on top.

    4. I store mine in ziplock bags as well, with tissue paper between the layers if there are multiple pieces to the outfit. Right now all of the clothes are in a drawer in my craft cabinet, but using the little chests is a great idea. :) It'd free up that drawer for my art stuff again. If I begin getting a lot of long pieces I may have to hang those.

    5. I also store all the different types of BJD clothes in different Rubbermaid bins, that stack.

    6. so far a ziplock bag... which is getting rather full........... O_o;

    7. All my clothes so far fit into one big plastic box I keep over my bookshelf. XD I wanted to look into a closet for them, but unfortunately I have no room for one right now.

    8. For my three kids, I have 2 little chest and the samantha trunk. The chest i normally use at my booth at conventions as part of my display. I am thinking on selling one of them, that I really dont use much, but here is the trunk

      So far I only have hoodies hanging, since my only girl is a Yo-SD I don't have any dresses to hang yet. What size hangers work will with the different sizes? I just have the default hangers that came with the trunk.

    9. I definitely need to steal some of the good ideas on this thread. ^^;
      I store all my doll stuff in big shoe boxes. Clothes, shoes, jewelry, eyes in one, and toys, spare parts, old wigs, and magic erasers in the other. >.<

    10. For the moment the I store their stuff in two drawers of my crafts stand and in their doll carrier. I need more space!*_*

    11. Oh i keep my kids cloths in an old hat box my mom gave me! It's cutie but i think i'm going to need to upgrade my box soon....(To much cloths~!)

    12. just in a really stylish box i have at home which i bought at the bargain store XD which will soon need replacing ^^""""

    13. Right now, I simply put everybody's staff into their own box(Which was send to me when they come).

      But I am always thinking about get them a small drawer or something...

    14. unfortuantely i have them in a box because we jut moved, but, when i start to unpack more, then i will get a nice chest of some sorts to keep them in there.

    15. I keep mine in boxes, its where to keep the ever increasing boxes thats concerning me.....

    16. I pilfered a doll closet from one of my old porcelain dolls. I also modded an old jewelry box to make a little dresser. :3 Unfortunately, I’m running out of room. >.<

    17. Ealasaid's clothes, shoes and stuff live in the cover-half of the box she came in. And that box is sitting on top of another box, not filled with doll stuff, at the foot of my bed. Am planning on getting her a proper wardrobe since the box is already beyond full.

    18. I usually pack my doll's clothes and shoes in their own doll boxes, but lately I've been running out of space fast, so (sad fact here), I cleared out some of my old clothing that either didn't want or hardly wore and used the empty drawer to put doll clothes in :XD:

    19. Heya Molly: I have the same problem. I wish I had a huge house with a large room, high ceilings, museum quality lighting and shelves with scaled setting. However, my ever growing collection ends up in their boxes under my bed. There is usually 2 or 3 on the my dresser.

    20. in an old shoe box, but im gonna need a new system soon cause its totally stuffed...
