It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I bought an old jewelry box that sort of looks like a wardrobe closet. It has three drawers and I have one for the accessories and shoes, one for clothes, and one for "costumes", i.e. holiday stuff. :)

    2. My doll Wigs (not so many, only 5), are all stuffed in the doll box, instead, clothes and shoes are in a small carton box.

    3. At first I thought it would be a bit embarrassing to confess but it seems I'm not alone going for the unorganized style of keeping stuff. ^_^;;; Clothes and shoes et c. goes into the carrier bag and carrier bag goes under the livingroom sofa. Other BJD related thingies like face-up gear, spare feet and hands and so on is kept in the bottom drawer of my wardrobe.

    4. I have a scrapbooking stand. It has several shallow drawers for embellishments. I store eyes, body parts etc in those. There are three deeper drawers made for storing scrapbooking paper that hing closed. I marked them tiny, msd and sd and that's where I store the large items like wigs, clothing and shoes. Works REALLY well.. At least it did.. But as the posse grows I may need another one... I got it at JoAnn's.

    5. I've got a couple of plastic containers from Ikea, they've got interchanagable slots so they can be bigger or smaller and they stack so that's a good thing. Everything else but wigs I keep there, the wigs sit on a stand I made. I really like the Rubbermaid containers with drawers, maybe I'll get one eventually ^___^

    6. I found the greatest triangular shaped stacking zippered cloth covered boxes: the large one is great for those special outfits (think elaborate/Dollheart, etc), the middle sized one is perfect for casual/smaller outfits, or shoes/boots etc, the small one works well for wigs or accessories like eyes, small props. They look great, zip close, everything is dust free & protected pretty well. I have four sets of these boxes....they stack nicely in a corner and are easily accessible, or can be stored away. Mine are in a converted closet filled with shelving for all of my bjd's and their goodies. I picked them up at TJ Max, they were reasonably priced around ($40-$45 for the set).

    7. haha! i actually have my (not so many) clothes shoved into a drawer... not the best idea to keep them from getting wrinkled.

    8. I found these great leather and wood trunks at Michaels that were 60% off, so I have a lot of clothes in one of those, and it matches my room's decor perfectly. I also found super discounted fancy boxes in different shapes and sizes there so I have them stacked and filled with clothes and stuff.

    9. Big plastic, zip-top baggies~One per outfit with any accessories put in smaller bags.

    10. I keep all outfits, eyes, wigs, and shoes in zip lock bags and store them in a plastic container. I need to get a new container though, my current one is too small and it all won't fit anymore. >_<

    11. All of my boys stuff (and i have loads of it!) is in 2 large plastic storage containers with lids. 1 box contains clothes and shoes and the other container is wigs and accessories. I keep them under my bed and just pull them out when i need them.

    12. I use my laptop case to store my boy when I'm going places with him. So I store his clothes in the large plastic bags or ziplock bags and put them in the pockets or inside the laptop case. :3

    13. My boy has a shelf, and his things are currently kept in Ziploc bags when they aren't in use, I have plans for a dresser made to his size, just not the space for it yet.

    14. Clothes in a cute little box, shoes lined up on the windowsill, eyes and wigs in a drawer :3

    15. Big stackable plastic storage shelves with drawers. They don't get any sun and stay away from dust...it's wonderful. It gets a bit disorganized sometimes...have to figure out how to keep things together a little better.

    16. I have this small night table with drawers. They have their own drawer which barely fits everything >.> the shoes i put on top.

    17. I just put them in a shipping box :P

    18. right now either a circle box or a plastic baggie, she doesn't have many clothes at the moment. :sweat

    19. The best thing I have found for wigs, but I usually don't bother to use is I take an MSD (can go shorter really, a 12-16 inch dollstand) and you buy these round foam cores which fit in the O that the dollstand clasps make at the top, put your wig on top, viola! Also does great for dresses and such.

As per my normal clothes, they're in a draw string bag for the most part, or in my dolly suitcase, or in a drawer, designated of course.

    20. For now I only have one jacket for my doll... and since I do not have one, it is in the box it came in and is with everything else I have (Eyes, candy, random other stuff) XP

But I hope to have a "wardrobe" when I do get a doll :D
