1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. as of now, in an Ed Hardy shoebox.

    2. I have a big plastic tub with a few smaller boxes in it.

One for Puki clothes, the others for various MSD things.

    3. I found a little furniture thing that is about waist-high on me and has 4 small square fabric bins that work as drawers, for only $9.99, so now I have their clothes and things (what little I have) in the top drawer, props and toys (most of them) in the 2nd drawer, a couple larger accessories like their backpacks in the 3rd, and supplies (magic eraser, sticky tack, extra eyes, rubber bands, etc) in the bottom drawer. I'm sure once I have more dolls the clothes will take up more and more space, but it's nice to have an official place for them rather than a plastic tub. I'm tempted to go back and get another set of drawers to have for the future.

    4. I keep my doll's clothes and things in a drawer above my clothes (lol)^^ I emptied it out for his stuff.

    5. I have a tiny doll-sized dresser that I found at...I want to say Michael's or Ross or something, and it does quite nicely if the clothes are folded. They're starting to overflow though! I really need to do a good closet cleaning.

    6. Right now I have a pink plastic tub that I use.
      It works, but I don't think my boy likes the color ^^;;

    7. I use older doll trunks. I pick them up whenever I find them. I put all the clothes for similar sized doll in a different one. At one point everything was mixed and I couldn't find anything so this helps me.

    8. I store my dolls clothes in their shipping boxes- and the shipping boxes fit perfectly under my bed! Clever! Oh and I have quite a few shoe boxes with dolly clothes as well. The dolls have more clothes than I do- seriously! :S

    9. o_o
Right now I actually don't have too much stuff, So doll things are stuffed in a night stand drawer...
This is actually a pretty helpful thread and gives me some ideas at getting a head start at neat and tidy doll item storage-ness~!
      ♥

    10. I store my doll's clothes and accessories in a translucent box under my bed, and i store seldom used items in my drawer because the box is not that big to fit all my doll's stuff.

    11. I keep my boys in an old wooden cabinet (it's got glass doors) that used to hold my parents' turntable. It has a taller, upper section, where my boys hang out, and then it has a short section where my parents used to keep their CDs. I shove what little my boys have in that little section beneath them ^ ^ And it's pretty big, so even when I get more stuff, I'll be able to use it.

    12. I use those boxes to store different things, for shoes i put them on the shelf.

    13. I display the shoes on my bookshelf because they are just darling to look at. Everything else goes into fancy Christmas boxes and jewelery boxes.

    14. I've rammed everything into Lily's arrival box ^^; I need to get a nice box to keep doll stuff in. There's some cute ones in WHSmiths! ^^ It's amazing how quickly doll things pile up!

    15. I actually have all extra eyes, clothes and wigs in a sleek, nice Iplehouse box!

    16. I have a spare chest of draws that belongs just to them. Think I could do with another as this one is getting pretty full.

    17. I have a type of rubbermaid container that has 3 small containers, that stack on top of eachother and snap in place. complete with a lid with a carrying handle ^^ I also have a smaller, circular version for wigs :D It's very convenient and keeps everything organised without taking up too much space. (I hope I described it right)

Of course, when I get my own place (hopefully in the next year or two) and my doll collection expands. I'll have to get something larger to contain it all. But for now, with only Kori to worry about, his clothes are kept safe and neatly away ^^

    18. I would like to see how everyone keep the dolls clothe. Im always looking for the best way to keep the clothe of my dolls.

Right now my dolls are inside those plastic shoe storage boxes and inside a bag but its just too small for the clothe >_<

    19. Right now, I have my tinies' clothes packed in the boxes the dolls came in. I was going to keep the pretty boxes anyway, so it seemed like a good idea, but I may be running the risk of creases. My 60 cm. boy was my first doll, and he got a large jewelry box for his clothes and stuff (I need to put some shelves in it so everything isn't in a big pile inside). My minis don't have much yet, so it's stacked on the same shelf they live on, and my Sard only has one outfit, which he's wearing, but his extra jewelry is tucked under the lower blanket of his box. I want a proper little room setup for the tinies and more space for the larger dolls, but all that will have to wait until I get a new job :|. My way is probably not all that great, since stuff has a chance to get dusty and creased. Lots of people use sets of plastic craft drawers, which are transparent so you can see what you have inside and come in a variety of widths and depths to fit what you need to store. If I had the space, that's what I'd use.

    20. same as blackwingsblackheart, I keep all of Xue's clothes in his box. He also has a little messenger bag that my friend made for him, so his clothes are generally kept in there..the ones that can fit.
