1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I love everybody's storage methods. They are a lot better than mine.

I have a TON of MSD clothes. I have my MSD for a loooong time now. I store her clothes all crumpled up in a sewing box. Its not big enough for all her wigs and shoes lol. So I need something else.

My SD, I haven't had her long and she only has a couple of outfits and they are floating around the house somewheres. I know Im a bad dolly mommy lol

    2. i have a small wooded camel back chest that i store all their stuff in at least so far it all fits

    3. I spend too much money on the stuff and clothes and dolls itself, that I don't really store them in anything but the big giant Mecha Angel Soom Doll Case...or put it on the doll shelves with the dolls if they're props.

    4. I bought a cute mini-dresser and a large painted box at TJ Maxx Home Store. So far, they both hold all the clothes and shoes and look pretty on the book shelf!

    5. Oddly enough my dolls share a dresser with me. I have an old heavy built oak bedroom suite. Tall dresser is mine..the long one with huge mirrors..my dolls. Has six drawers on either side and smaller drawers with a door hiding them in the middle. Doll parts, dresses, wigs..everything. I spoil my little ones...heh

    6. Same situation here, but reversed! The dolls have the tall dresser and I have the long one!

      Oye vey!

    7. in small, pretty boxes :). Wigs in one, clothes in other (dont have that much), eyes and putty in a special smaller box and eyelases and other materials in another smaller. I know exactly where everything is :D.

    8. Here where I put all the BJD's things! :fangirl:

    9. I have a storage box system-stackables and then I store according to size and sex of the dolls. The wigs are in other boxes that stack-I do the wigs according to size and length. This works for me.
I also have a couple of under the bed boxes if needed for larger dolls.

    10. I was lucky enough to pick up an antique metal and wooden doll trunk at an antique store when they were having a 50% off sale! The trunk still has it's upper tray and the metal has a really nifty green and tan plaid pattern!

    11. I have some little wardrobes for this!!

    12. Ziploc and those in undies, dresses or misc-categorized boxes.

    13. XD I have a shoe box.
Clothes are in ziplock bags (air sucked out as much as possible). Same goes for wigs that aren't being worn, as well as shoes, and their stuffed animals (pikachus, a cat, and an elephant).
I also happen to have a "Really Useful Box" (http://www.reallyusefulboxes.com/) that I'm currently keeping random beads and jewelry in. Oh, and a mini bottle of Corona.

    14. right now they're in a plastic ziplock bag. but i'd like to find a nice wooden box to keep them all in. of cource once sidi gets here, most of them will be ON hir, since i dont really have alot of clothes lol

edit: wow i kind of like those really useful boxes. the long flat ones could be slid under the chair in my room for safekeeping. i'll keep thatb site in mind.

    15. My first boy has a lot of clothes and wigs, so his stay in a shipping box next to his own box, and his small clothing articles and accessories stay in a small wooden chest.

My other boy... is too "sophisticated" (...not) for that, so his clothes stay (sorted by type of garment) in little colourful boxes, on top of which is another wooden trunk with a mirror and accessories, along with some books and blue-prints in his size. (Needs to keep up his scholarly appearance, after all).

    16. While I don't have a BJD yet, I do have two American Girl-type dolls. I kept their clothes in my closet on tiny hangers and in this little set of drawers you're supposed to use for office supplies.
When I get my BJD, I'll probably do the same thing.

    17. My dolls' clothes go into a shoebox, each set of outfits in its own individual ziplock bag for accessability.

    18. My grandma always told me to wrap delicate clothing in light blue acid free tissue paper.

if anyone bothers to read this:
USE BLUE, ACID FREE, TISSUE PAPER!

      Especially for white clothing. ^^

I think she said acid free o_O or was it just blue tissue paper?

    19. In two big hat boxes. But this might change soon!

    20. I recently started collecting Hello Kitty luggage to put all my doll clothes in. It's cute, portable, and easy to get to everything, so I'm really liking it :)
