How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I have a small box on top of my cuboard to store their shoes. (I also have a shoe box full of wigs) There clothes, well half in a shelf of my underwear cabinet and the other half in the storeage of my wardrobe. They are pretty much taking over my room. I hardly have the space for my stuff!

    2. I don't have enough clothing yet for there to be a huge need for storage, so right now its in the same cabinet Romi gets stored in to keep him away from my dog and cat. Eventually I'll probably move it into something.

    3. I keep my doll's clothes in a drawer that is part of a bookshelf/chest thing in my bedroom.

    4. I have one of those jewellery boxes shaped like a chest of drawers. I got it for cheap because it has a small chip. : D I plan to get another matching one because I'm running out of room...

I keep pants in the bottom drawer, shirts in the middle drawer, and socks/scarves/hats/misc. accessories in the top drawer. They're all rolled up neatly so I can squeeze as much stuff in there as possible... Haha ^-^; I also have two boxes around the same size as those drawers, they have anything that can't be rolled in them. Vests, coats, button up shirts and trousers.

Shoes are at the end of my boy's bed. ...I've only got three pairs, so they're not too much trouble yet.

And I keep my spare wigs in ziplock bags, with wig nets over them. ...My eyes are in an old Japanese plastic lolly container. It's in four sections and each section fits a pair of eyes. xD Very randomly convenient. Haha.

    5. I had the oh so classy system of using their doll boxes to hold things. then that just became a bit tooooo much. So I religated a chest of three drawers my grandfather made me which I cherish but they are a little too small for my clothes and fill up to fast. so I moved it in to our front room. It houses alot of stuff! but between me and my roomate and 12 dolls 3 floating headsd and one floating body.... we are already running out of space.

    6. My girl has a large shoebox and my guy has a smaller shoebox. About a month ago, everything fit in one box. But now I need to look at another method. :B

    7. I have a number of vintage doll cases -- not Barbie just generic ones -- that work for the dolls under 12 inches and larger cases (from the Crissy doll size dolls) that hold the MSD size dolls. I also have a HUGE wooden antique doll case that folds out into a bedroom like scene, complete with fold down bed, wardrobe, mirror and a place to store hats and shoes!! As its for dolls 16-18 inches, one of my MSDs has moved in!! Sadly I don't have enough room to put it on display properly.

    8. the acid free makes sense...I believe that may be to prevent yellowing for the clothes.

    9. I bought a small stationary (?) three-drawer on sale from Homesense and store stuff in there. I'm running out of room, though, so I'll probably have to get another one soon. xD;;

    10. When Tamsen's wardrobe started to get out of hand, I made her a closet in my sideboard. I got a short tension rod and stretched it across one of the side cabinets, et voila! [IMG]
Of course, we're already running out of room! I also hung a jewelry rack on the door of my coat closet for her longer coats and dresses. [IMG]

    11. I have been using the boxes the dolls come in. I try and keep the outfits that are for that doll in there. Of course it doesnt mean I dont switch sometimes. I only own three pairs of shoes and I have 6 dolls lol. I keep my dolls in a glass case and on the bottom shelf I keep their wigs either bagged or in their original packaging. I definetly need a new container. I thought about one of those under the bed ones that are plastic and slide out. I use one for my daughters bedding and it seems like it would work for a while. I dont have alot of money to buy outfits.

    12. As many others said, in zip-loc bags in storage boxes under my bed! Some of the bigger dolls' clothing is hung up in the extra bedroom closet.

    13. i'd love to have a mini wardrobe for all their stuff. At the moment I have a big trolly thing with plastic drawers and their clothes go in there. All their extra wigs are in nets and zip lock bags and their eyes are kept inside an old jewllry box.

    14. I have an extra drawer in my wardrobe that I keep all my BJD stuff in, clothes, accessories, tools, even a floating head. It's all separated into zip lock bags and small boxes :)

    15. In a drawer right now, will probably get some boxes to have shoes in one and clothes in another etc.

    16. I have a small set of plastic drawers that the shoes go into, and then all the clothes are in a wooden box under my bed...I've got to find a new way of storing them though, they're outgrowing the spaces I have for them.

    17. in a box! lol, theyre always wrinkled...XD

    18. Same here, he he :)

    19. I use the rubbermaid, stackable containers for clothes and wigs and the compartment bead boxes for shoes.

    20. *revives old thread*
I'd really like to see some of this, as mine barely has any clothes and yet they're already a nuisance. Has any built a little wardrobe, perhaps?
