1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I have a metal tin lunchbox that was given to me for my birthday (( ^ ^;)) and because it was too embarrassing to use for it's purpose, I happened to stash his clothing in there. It works perfectly, and the Hello Kitty design is very very cute and accessible. For my doll, I make him tons of clothing so he has some clothes lying around sometimes.

    2. I keep their clothes in a box(soon to be boxes). Then the box stacked on it is filled with wigs. Then the box on top of the wigs box is filled with shoes/boots. Then the next box is filled with accessories/props. And the top most box is their eyes.

      :sweat

If only I was this organised with my own things...

    3. Since I have just one doll, I keep her clothes, wigs, everything in her box and just leave it at that for the moment. If she outgrows it, then I'll cross that bridge when I come to it.

I think the best thing is to store your doll's clothes, wigs, shoes, everything for one doll in one box...less mess that way.

    4. Right now I'm in transition. I've got all my wigs in my meet-up case at present. They're in their boxes if they have them and plastic bags and I went to the grocery and bought hair nets for the ones that didn't have nets. One hair net makes two wig nets. The shoes and clothes are in a shoe box, but that isn't going to work for long. Eyes are in a drawer in my craft cabinet.

I've thought about buying one of those jewelry armoire chests with all the little drawers. It would look nice and I think it would hold enough-at least for a while. But it's not portable.

    5. Right now, all of Alys' stuff is in her box. As my collection grows, I'll probably buy plastic tubs to store all the shoes together, clothes, wigs, etcetera, but with just the one this works just fine.

    6. After reading all of the replies, I am going to get a set of small plastic drawers

      seems like a good idea

......unless I can find some SD sized furniture to match a bed that I have a tentative order on.........

    7. I bought my doll a pretty cool box. It has a cute patern of roses on it and I plan to decorate it with her name and it has a special spot next to all my sowing equipment where I can't miss it. When she gets more clothes and such and her brother arrives I will be looking to buy a bigger box or a cheap set of drawers at a shop near my home that sales stuff that they bought up from companies that went bankrupt for really low prizes.

    8. I will be using a jewelery box. It's made of gorgeous dark wood, with metal and glass on it. It may not be in the best proportion, but it will go nicely with his room, since it's not something ugly that needs to be hidden ^^;

    9. I've been listening to what others are using and I'm going to get a small dresser, bed side table for storage. But I,m still going to hang all of the dresses and special outfits.

    10. I got a cardboard box, covered it in silver tape, and poked holes in the side. I was going to find a way to put a bar in, make hangers, and have a little wardrobe but it didn't work. The clothes are just piled in that box next to their beds. When we move I'm getting a bigger dresser where they'll have their own draw until I can get a plastic draw set. I'll have four draws; one for MSD clothes and shoes, one for SD (even though I don't have one), one for tinies, and one for wigs, tools, and accesories.

    11. I keep all wigs, dresses and accessories in lovely box. I have 2 lovely boxes, 1 for my latidoll and 1 for my YOSD.:)

    12. in our spare room I have my dresser set from when I was little and my large dresser has 6 drawers I have everything organized in there my doll chairs and my doll sit on the top
then in the draws i have
drawer 1 - wigs eye's and extra doll heads and hands
drawer 2 - all the shoes and doll sized accessories
drawer 3 - SD sized clothes
      drawer 4 - Yo-SD sized clothes
drawer 5 and 6 - are pretty much empty right now I keep extra Styrofoam balls for the wigs in there right now

    13. i keep it in a hat box...and another box...there big boxes too...and i hope i dont have tu buy another one...

    14. I store Sanyu's clothes in the box she arrived in. It's a good excuse to the keep the pretty box, too. I'm thinking about eventually getting one of those jewelry boxes that look like a little dresser. Then I can hang things like belts, obi ribbons, etc... in the necklace area and then fold up the foldables and store them in the drawers. But those tend to be a little pricey, so until I find a good deal on one it's just another thing on my wish list.

    15. I had a couple jewelry boxes that look more like little wardrobe drawers. Each drawer belongs to a doll for some of the clothes they're not wearing, extra eyes or even wigs. For bigger objects, like dresses, I've seen miniature dress models that were made for hanging necklaces. I will probably get one of those to drape the dresses on.

    16. ..strewn about my bedroom -shame-

    17. i bought a cabinet. half of it for their items. everything is stocked in a bag with see thru top so i can see what inside. every bag has different color to differenciate clothes, items, wigs and shoes. and all clothes and items is packed in smaller plastic bag so it's not get dusty easily...might sounds like a clean freak, but once i need to change their outfits, i will take hours to keep everything back up because they can be a big mess once they are out of the bag orz

    18. I divide their clothes and shoes by type... for example:

      shirts
      pants
      misc
      shoes

I have those one gallon ziplock freezer bags and I stick their clothes in there and make sure there's no air so their nice and compact. I also keep their wigs this way, it keeps the clothes and wigs dust free and it's convenient when I'm changing outfits. I have a big trunk that I keep all of my doll stuff in, the clothing and stuff just goes in there.

    19. I don't have a BJD yet but I bought some clothes and stuff for her, I keep all her things in one of those old wooden bread boxes....

    20. i have a sterilite tote bin for all my doll clothes... wigs, shoes and accessories go in this other cardboard box. but as my doll collection is expanding, i'll need to get more bins.
