1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I just keep the clothes in the plastic they came with in the box of the doll they fit, and line that up on a shelf in my closet.

    2. I keep the doll clothes in one of those three-drawer containers from Wal-Mart. I used to keep the overflow clothes in a Dollmore box. :D

    3. I use two cheap plastic storage bins from Walmart. One is for SD+ size clothes and fullsets only, the other for everything else--anything for MSD- size, all wigs, all shoes not part of a set, etc.

And wouldn't you know it, the 1st bin is the one that is more full. :sweat

    4. I've gotten suitcases at thrift store -- they are pest proof, and cheaper than plastic tubs. When that was not enough, I found a wire computer desk on which to put doll hangers. Now I just need to figure how to make some more hangers.

    5. It's ment to stay in the desk drawers in my room, but normally ends up on my coffee table. The table needed SD-sized boxers for decoration, I swear.

    6. At The Bear Factory stores I've sometimes noticed a miniature wardrobe complete with coat hangers and whilst it's probably too big for my mini's clothing, I think it might be a good fit for my Dollfie Dream's stuff. I'm hoping to pick one up soon, but for now, my doll's clothing is stored in their boxes or filed away with all my paper work O_o

    7. Currently, my dolls sleep with their clothes on. Which means they've only got one set of clothes each. LOL. But once I get more clothes, I'll be purchasing one of those cool nifty boxes from IKEA to store them in. (:

    8. I know this is going to sound like an advertisement, but...

The other day I went to Target and bought a couple of items from their "Itso" storage line, and I couldn't be more pleased. They're lightweight, attractive, and sturdy. :D

I have a 2 drawer hard plastic storage bin that holds my faceup/customization materials on the top drawer, and things like faceplates, eyes, and small parts in a little organizer on the bottom drawer.

Aaaand I got a storage cube with a (pink!) fabric drawer to put in it. And two small storage trays. In there, I have all my wigs and outfits in their own little ziploc baggies.

it is so, so, SO nice to have all my doll stuff organized. Thank you, Target! 8D

    9. I went to a craft store and bought a large wooden box for 7 dollars. It had a small crack in it but eventually I hope of painting and stenciling it.

    10. in a big box in my wardrobe.

    11. I put it in the boxes they came in. It's getting stuffed now because there're so many. ^^

      Laoky

    12. I keep my ladies' clothes inside this horrible looking... thing.

it's about the size of two stick deodorants next to each other. Someday, my dream is to have a whole trunk full of doll clothes. Oooh, that'd be so fun... But for now, i have this, since my dolls have little to no clothes.

    13. I had bought a tall plastic drawer with 7 shelves to keep everything for my doll in that stands next to her "house" which is a customized shelf.

    14. I bought a hobby box in really fun color's, It fits all the vlothes ang wigs, It has a special tray for shoes en accesories, and on the top I keep my eye putty in a seperate compartment in the top :D I love it. Everything organized

    15. We have a big TV cabinet, and most of the drawers are useless for devices (like PS, X-box, reciever etc. ) so I use it for doll clothing and for active knitting projekts I have at a time.

    16. I am gonna see if i can buy a lil wardrobe or a small chest of drawers for a doll... if not a box is fine

EDIT: Oh wait i forgot X3 i have a mini wardrobe... i got it for my dolls house but its too big so i can use that... my uncle built it up but i found if in a shop... i am sure you can find some on Ebay ^_^

    17. I don't keep cloth in my study room, so I hang my doll clothes there

    18. A seven drawer storage bin via Wally World (wal-mart) perfect as three drawers are more narrow perfect for storing wigs and smaller items while the larger drawers are perfect for clothing. It's jammed packed though and sure needs to be reorganized :) perfect size though and it was around $20.00

    19. I keep most of their clothes in one of those plastic drawer/tower things that have been mentioned - one drawer for Yo, one for MSD, & one for SD. None of them have that many clothes as of right now, but I figure that just gives me room to expand their wardrobe in the future ;) My tiny tinies have their clothes in separate pencil cases (plastic, different colors, translucent) that I put their name on w/ stickers. Hair bows & other accessories go in another clear plastic box that has built in dividers.

    20. i put them neatly in a suit case for travelling. it was my dad's idea at first XD
