1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. I currently have two 8" deep storage boxes for my SD and MSD wigs, two more for my SD and MSD clothes, and two of those little three-drawer plastic chests for scrapbooking stuff that I use for shoes and accessories. But I can already tell that I'm going to need bigger boxes for the wigs and clothes soon-I just sew too much and buy too many wigs!

    2. The obitsus have this two-foot wide chest that all their clothes go in...@_@ And there's only two of them! My resin boys have a small set of three plastic drawers that their clothes and extra eyes and such go in, though I may have to get them something bigger soon (I keep making them new clothes!) Yoru, however, has a brand-new Dollheart outfit...that's staying in its outfit box when not in use. ._. So I may have to find a place to stack DH boxes.

    3. Anywhere I can find space for......I really need to organize them better. My room is a mess with doll stuff everywhere.

    4. I still have the box she came in. And I just through what extra stuff I have in there. I was at Target the other day and this guy in front of me got a chest. I really want to get one... Maybe after I get more stuff. Right now I don't have enough to warrant an official space.

    5. I have one of those tall 7 drawer rubbermaid spacesavers and the clothes are grouped by doll size, then gender. I am starting to run out of space so I either need to weed out or go bigger!

    6. The clothes I got for the dolls that are still on order are kept in a drawer with all the wigs. The clothes I got for the doll that do I have are (sadly) stuffed in a ziploc bag :sweat -- mostly for easy access when I change her clothes every couple of days. But that will change once the other dolls have been shipped and received.

    7. In zip-lock bags, one larger outfit per bag, or for single garments according to category (skirts, underwear), kept in storage boxes under my bed.

Starting out every girl had their own storage box, but since we keep buying dolls but the bed doesn't grow larger, girls are now sharing storage boxes. Which is less than optimal, because the more stuff I get the less space I have to stor it in...

It works with a squeeze so far, but soon we will have to do something else. Don't ask me how! :sweat

    8. I have a "hat box" (don't know if it's really the good name) where I began to put all items and I bought on ebay a old trunk doll I will have to "update" , where I could put my doll in and also some clothes, and to get her outside

    9. In a box/portable seat, wigs in their own bag and then put together in one bag, same goes for shoes, clothes & accesories...im more careful with e eyes though, their in ziplock bags with sponges for cushioning.

    10. my mom got me some transparent plastic boxes at staples :)

    11. I bent jewerly wire into doll hangers :) the rest of his stuff is kept in a small bag (he doesn't have many clothes yet)

    12. I have a big Dollmore box, and thats where I put them. Nice and neat, set somewhere high so they can't be harmed. I don't have the space in my room for a lot so the Dollmore box works well.

    13. I have a set of stackable plastic drawers from Target and a hard make-up case for my doll things. SD clothes are in the one of the drawers and I keep all my tiny clothes in the make-up case. I'd really like to make a doll sized wardrobe someday.

    14. As yet I don't have much, so the clothes and wigs are in individual ziplocs (what did we do before those were invented?) packed in my Tokidoki(ish) shoulder bag; smaller things are in a Danish butter cookie tin. It'll be a long while before we outgrow that, I expect.

    15. in square cookie boxes...some are hung...all are in 1 slot of my sewing cabinet

    16. I have a large set of plastic drawers where I keep my guys' clothes (and worryingly it's full to bursting!) I tend to separate things by drawer, so the top one keeps my guys' shirts, the second drawer holds skirts and trousers, the third one holds shoes and Yo-SD sized outfits, and the fourth drawer holds eyes, gloves, goggles and other odds and ends. I also have a row of wire hooks that fits over my bedroom door, which I use to hang up all my girls' fers so that they don't get creased or crumpled. If I'm ever able to buy my own house I'm definitely going to be looking to get one with the space to have a doll-room so I've got more space to store their things!

    17. Here is the some picture where i keep my dolls clothes.:)

    18. I just keep them in organza bags, and these bags in a shoes box. Before the box, I used a Dollmore clothes bag, but when the collection became larger and some of the pieces more delicate than average jeans, I decided it was time to move the clothes to something more "suitable".

You see all those boxes/bags on the middle row of shelves?

That's the dolls clothes boxed and bagged by size of doll.... of course it doens't help that I have a house full of other tpes of doll as well as 27 BJD's.

This is the spare "bed"room. That's the wall where the bed used to be before we got rid of it to make more space for dolls and storage.
