It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. My dollies have far too many clothes and at the moment all the dollie clothes are in a big box, but my hubby kind of 'promised' to buy me a big chest for dollie items. *keeps fingers crossed*

    2. We have three dressers in our bedroom. One for my husband, one for me, and one for dolls. I am lucky to have a fairly easy-going spouse. :)

    3. Most of their clothes are stored in my dresser. What started as 1 drawer for them turned into half of my dresser though. The big drawers for clothes, and a small drawer for wigs/shoes/eyes/accessories. Though now I want my dresser back, so I'll probably be heading to the Container Store soon to find something for the clothes and the large amount of fabric I keep buying.
I also have a doll trunk from when I was little where I can hang up larger dresses.

    4. my doll has a chair whit a hollow iside thats were i put her tops and in her bedroom she has a box whit bigger clothes in it (when the box is closed it has a mirror on top and little things like a make-up table) and her big lolita dress i put in her dilevery box (the thing she came in) so it stays pretty :P

    5. In bedsite table drawler mostly but some are hanging in wardrobe.

    6. i keep the clothes, wigs, accessories and what not in whatever plastic/ziploc bag they come in. all the bags will then go into plastic containers bought from ikea, sort by whether they're clothes or wigs or shoes or others. the containers go in my wardrobe.

    7. Right now all my doll clothes that they aren't wearing are folded up and tucked in their boxes under their pillows, where they 'sleep'. But I'm considering getting one of the plain wood craft boxes at HobbyLobby and varnishing it all pretty and then painting it nice to keep them in. I like crafty things, so it would entertain me, as well as give me a place to keep all my doll 'stuff'. XD

    8. Eco-chic, reusable pink train case to tote all your "Doll Face Beauty products". Case measures 13" x 7" x 8" with a removable top tray.:fangirl:

(I'm totally gonna get this! I wish it were big enough to store an MSD though! :...(

    9. I keep my BJD clothes in different decorative boxes (like you find at Michael's)...one for each size. Then a hinged wooden box for the shoes.
The wigs are kept in a long BJD box...I think it's a Peak's Woods box
      .

    10. I keep them in a pretty storage box with lots of drawers, I like to keep them organised for each of my dolls but I'll probably be needing something bigger soon :sweat

    11. The DollHeart, S&K and Iple House outfits are kept in their original boxes in the upstairs room's closet. The crew's jewelry is all kept in a 6-drawer, 1/3-scale Japanese "stairstep" cabinet. Spare props? Stored in a collection of bamboo boxes, also kept in the closet.

Everything else is kept in a pair of smallish, 3-drawer dressers I bought earlier this year from World Market. They weren't exactly an inexpensive option, but I still think they were well worth the investment. It's nice to have most of the crew's stuff in one neat, fairly organized place instead of scattered around in the half-dozen trunks and decorative boxes I used to use.

    12. I was probably gonna end up making my boy a chest of drawers or a little closet, but after seeing some of the suggestions about modifying a hinged wooden box from Michael's, I may do that instead...^^;

    13. wow, actually its as messy as me.
my doll's stuff are laying on an unused bed and the wigs are on ... that thing where i put books and DVDs :sweat

    14. I place all of their clothing into a large zip lock freezer bag and then put that into a plastic storage case. The case itself isn't huge...a little larger than a shoebox. I find it very convenient, but yeah, they don't have a fancy wardrobe closet :sweat

    15. Currently their stuff is taking up one of the drawers of my flat file, but as the collection grows I may have to find another location...

    16. Right now they're in a large plastic storage container...but I need to get another one soon because it's overfilled to the max. *_*

    17. Hi guys! I was just wondering how all of you keep your dolls clothes and wigs stored, in order, etc.? I've tried a couple different methods....usually though some form of a box/plastic storage container is involved. What this ends up as, is a huge jumbled mess, with all the clothes getting wrinkled, the wigs getting tangled, etc.! I've tried separating the dresses from the tops/pants, which really makes no difference. The wigs are in a big plastic container by themselves, but they still manage to jump around and mess themselves up. Acccckkkkk! Any better ideas for storage? I've thought of maybe trying to get something to hang the clothes in, some type of wardrobe, etc......but have any of you ever found a large thing like that? And still, what about the wigs?? Any ideas or help will be greatly appreciated! :)

    18. i have plastic bins too but i put each outfit in a ziplock baggie to keep them clean, separate and together! Freezer bags for the bigger/poofier outfits.

wigs i keep in hair nets and then in plastic baggies and i keep those in a separate bin by themselves. I have a small box for shoes and boots but i have as many dolls as shoes right now so my dolls are wearing most of what i have (other than the horrible default Anais boots which all of my dolls shun :sweat).

    19. I've got a jewellery box which is like a chest of draws and the compartments are pretty big so I keep under wear in one, wigs and eyes, trousers and tops etc in their own little compartment :) maybe try dolls house furniture, then it'll be ornamental as well.

    20. I keep my spare wigs in a trunk by themselves, too. If you put each of them in a hair net and its own zip bag, they should stay in pretty good shape.

With the crew's clothes, I finally ended up buying them a small chest of drawers and sorting things by size and gender. Like Jola, I keep each outfit in its own little bag. If you fold them carefully when you put them in and then store them flat, they won't wrinkle and the bags will keep small parts and accessories from getting lost.
