1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. box lol but i wanna make doll hangers, i just need to find my wire cutters/pliers

    2. I have a MSD sized dresser that my aunt gave me years ago (Before I had even heard of BJDs) but it is just such a hassle to actually use. Only a couple outfits fit in it, so I reserve it for really fancy stuff and photostories. For everyday use, I have two tin hat boxes and a tin lunchbox for doll clothes. I have three dolls, so I just gave them each their own clothes container. For communal stuff I have a small plastic thingy of drawers. It is good for accessories and care stuff ^_^

    3. I got two large paper box for storing all these clothes...but I suppose thats far from enough....T,T

    4. I have a set up similar to Jemjoop. I love having something big enough so I do not have to fold my larger dolls' clothing as I have a huge fear of some of the older outfits pleather cracking. Its really handy for keeping things organized, wigs in one drawer, shoes in another, eyes and other small things in another. Plus it has wheels, so I can bring it out in the living room if I am having a massive switch of outfits and then wheel it back into hiding when I am done.

    5. I keep mine in the box she came in. I'm running out of room though, so I better find a different place.

    6. I made 1 slot of sewing stuff wall shelf for doll clothes. I made the hanger place in the shelf. Lately, I purchased plastic drawers and folded drawer.
That folded drawer is made of fabric like back pack fabric...when I'm out of town like now, I can put my doll clothes in that drawer and when I'm back home. I just fold it and put the clothes in my suitcase.
Some clothes are folded some are hung...depends

Even handamde, you hv to take care of your doll clothes ^_<...

    7. I have a kind of soft box that zips shut. I also keep people clothes in some of these (especially corsets and things). I can lay out all the clothes and in theory keep them ... er ... less wrinkly. I also have another one of these for wigs.

    8. I store mine in decorative boxes. Some of the boxes sit on the lowest part of my big doll shelves, and then I have another little shelf from IKEA that holds the rest.

    9. I had a little wardrobe closet thing that was originally a jewelry box, and I stuck my dolls clothes in there (it has things to hang stuff on with glass doors, and then below that it had drawers) but my mum 'stole' it :P Now I just stick my dolly's clothes in a bag...

    10. Well.... I got one of them 3 section mini drawers like you use at a desk. Top is MSD. Middle is SD. Bottom is 70cm stuff. I also carry any extras in my doll bag and keep "tradeables" for doll meets in a seperate bag. :3 I used to dump everything in a bag but then I got so much stuff I needed to organize!

    11. I keep them folded in one of my wardrobes, in different piles for the different dolls they belong to and different types of clothes (pants, scarves, t-shirts, you get the idea).
At first it was only very little space I needed for that but oh boy ..
I also keep my dolls in there when I'm not doing anything with them and actually, the whole wardrobe is turning into doll-space slowly @_@ .. so.much.stuff. Argh.

    12. I fold them and put them in these plastic drawers, each has their own drawer. All the accesories go into a little box that is in their drawer. I do have a doll trunk with mini drawers and hangers, but I use that for another non-bjd doll.

    13. I've got sealed plastic bins that I store my doll clothing and accessories in. This keeps them all nice and tidy, organized and smelling fresh!

    14. I fold them (at least somewhat) sort them by size (and in some cases by doll) and then divide them into large zip lock bags. All of the bags go together in a wooden toy chest that I stole from my kids (they had too many and prefer shelves for storing toys). I keep it in my closet. I also have other doll accessories in the chest, the pillows from my tiny boxes and some extra pieces (extra hands, wings ect) as well as my Sylvanian families collection. I would love a tiny doll closet to hang things in but that is just wishful thinking for now. I have no where to put it. Maybe when my kids are grown and gone I will consider it but that is many years from now.

    15. I fold them as neat as i can and put them in boxes and see through plastic containers.

    16. I lay my dolls' outfits flat, place them in plastic bags, and the bags are placed in my doll cabinet (which I use for my BJD stuff and other doll items). The shoes are lined up in small chests - one for SD size, and one for Yo/Petites.

    17. flat in a small box

    18. I used to keep most if my crew's outfits in a couple of different trunks, divided by gender and size... There were other trunks for all the wigs and all their shoes... But after awhile the collection started to outgrow the boxes I had, and I didn't really want to buy more of them, so I bought a pair of smallish, three drawer dressers from World Market instead. Now I have pretty much everything in those.

The only things still kept apart are the DollHeart outfits. I keep those on a shelf in the closet, in their original boxes.

Edited to Add: I finally stopped being lazy, and took a picture of the things. They're small enough not to look too big for the little room they're in, but still provide plenty of storage space for the crew's "stuff".

Plus they're a good place to perch Palrah and Muninn (Akando and Bliss). XD
