1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your doll's clothes and shoes?

Dec 16, 2004

    1. Everything is stuffed in Tori's DOD carry-bag ^^; I'm afraid I treat his clothes with about as much respect as my own!

    2. SHOEBOXES! <3 Lots and lots of shoeboxes. ^^; alongside a bunch of my egl/cosplay accessories.

*puts Shin in a frilly Loli headdress by mistake*

Shin: #&@_!&$@?? How the #@!! do you do that by MISTAKE??

    3. Nicely folded and kept in her box... of course, her accesories and such are getting to flood a gigantic drawer under my bed. It's all really wonderfully organized though.. I'm a lot more careful with her things than I am with my own.

    4. All of Lewis's clothes are kept nice and neat in a little cabinet I found at a local store. It was a hideous green color, but I repainted it to be a nice off-white color. : D It works perfectly, since it's got a lot of space. ...it also helps that Lewis doesn't have that much in the clothes area ;__; I wish to remedy that. So far he's got the entire bottom drawer full, and a bit of the upper half.

(Just ignore the surrounding junk. I'm in the process of switching rooms, so once in the new one, Lewis gets his own corner for his stuff XD)

    5. oh, i have clothes for a nari-pon and one day while i was working in the infant room at the daycare i saw that they had some baby food in these little plastic containers by gerber that looked like mini-rubber made storage containers...needless to say, the babies ate bananas that day and i took two containers home with me because we usually just throw them out. then the next day they had prunes...and i got two more containers. they're perfect!

    6. I use the lid of the box she came in... I don't think it'll be long before it gets too full though

    7. I use his DoD Carrier bag... and it's getting full fast. I'm planning on buying a trunk somewhere just for his stuff.

    8. Knowing me, it'll be in a random shoebox 'officially', but actually end up all over the room except for that once a month where I go crazy and clean up everything. xD

    9. At first I kept everything underneath the pillow in Sorcha's coffin. Now that I have three girls, though, theres not enough room in there anymore for them AND all their stuff, so I've moved on to a clear Sterlite container with a snap-on lid and a handle. It holds all of my girls' clothes and my camera, extra memory card, and battery charger . I also have a smaller Sterlite container (Dollar General has tons of variety in the plastic-storage department) for their shoes, props, etc. I still havent found a good way to store my doll's furniture yet though... I have 3 beds, 5 chairs, a table-and-two-chairs set, and a bench that matches the table-and-chairs. Anyone have any suggestions?

    10. The boys have one of those sets of plastic drawers on wheels XD it's about .... 3 ft. tall? two small drawers (wigs, shoes) and two deeper ones (clothes, boots). I just wish the deeper drawers weren't *so* deep... it can be hard to find a specific shirt in there ^^;

    11. I was just going to ask this!

In my garage, I have a handmade wooden trunk (painted blue, though heat has damaged the paint badly) that my Grandfather made for me to store my American Girl clothes in. I also have a matching set of bunkbeds. Too bad my room is too small to fit them! I had less furniture as a kid.

Right now, the clothes are piled in the corner of my room. It looks awful. I need to find somewhere to keep them!

    12. I keep all my doll clothes in a plastic storage container, so far I have three of them and I probably will have to buy another one soon O_O

    13. I keep most of my kids' clothes, shoes and wigs in two antique tansu, but Hana's fluffier dresses have had to go into a doll box under the bed and I am running out of room in general.

    14. Used to be I had a set of drawers for all of my Barbie clothes and accessories (Left in pic). Then I had to buy MORE drawers (middle in pic) for my Tyler clothes (a 16" fashion doll). Then, kinda but not really sadly, Barbie lost her place and all of Tyler's clothes went into the vacated Barbie drawers. Now the BJD clothes are in those big middle drawers. Tyler's not giving up as easy as Barbie did! ;)

    15. So, I've had my Ariela about a month and a half now, and her clothes have outgrown the American Girl-sized wardrobe/trunk I have for her. There is empty space on the opposite side, but I have shoes, etc that just have no place!! Does anyone have any suggestions??
This is the trunk I have for her:

Any suggestions of how to get more space? Shelving?

I saw a cute pink, jeweled thing at Target that's meant to be, I think, a jewelry box for little girls...that was maybe a foot high and looked like it would make a really sweet dresser for my girl...

    16. @_@ I have rather deep shelves in my desk.. Like... 4 shelves for about a meter of desk. I have all my girl's clothes and stuff in there. It's.. Overflowing. ><; But I suggest that, and/or a suitcase or something.

    17. I keep all my doll stuff in a 3 drawer tupperware shelf. I find it useful to seperate things for storage: shoes in one box, eyes in another, clothes in another, ect..

    18. Right now all my outfits are seperated into their own jumbo ziplock bag and I want to buy a small chest to store them all in.

    19. My dolls are usually sitting on the desk or table.
So their clothes are in their default boxes.

    20. When I was really little, my mother customized a GORGEOUS doll wardrobe for my Magic Attic/American Girl dolls, but...it actually doesn't hold very much. ^^U Normally I keep all their clothes in a basket, separated by size/type (SD13 shirts, mini shirts, SD13 pants, mini pants). But sometimes when I'm lazy (like now) I just put it all on my desk and wait to sort through it for later. T.T
