1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your dolls day to day? XxX

Dec 21, 2015

    1. Mine are all out. Most are in a dark room on shelves but I have some in my living room too.
Not much light in there either. Weird old house.

    2. Actually my dolls are stored on my bed. I have a little space in between my bed and bed frame so they just chill there. Though if i want 5o actually store them, they just go intheir box and get set somewhere.

    3. Like most other people, I store mine on a shelf in my room. The shelf also has cabinets, in case I don't want to showcase my doll. :3nodding:

    4. It's nice to see so many people have them displayed. I was curious about this too. I've kept mine in her box since I received her and wasn't sure how paranoid I needed to be about the yellowing.

    5. I would love to display mine, but my apartment is always changing and could'd find a nice and protected place to display them. They used to be in our spare (and shaded) room, over a antique desk, but since an year and a half ago, this room became our baby's. so I bought some pretty and large boxes and they live inside them in my closet. For now.

    6. Mine keep me company on my shelves where I work.

    7. I keep the head in my tool box.

I should never talk about my hobby to the police...

    8. I do the same thing, don't worry.

    9. My doll lives on a shelf in my bedroom ~ I'm not super worried about yellowing and my rooms pretty dark anyway. I don't think I could pack my dolls away into boxes - I enjoy seeing my dolls ^^

    10. Most of my dolls are out on various shelves/bookcases around my house, or on my desk. They're all out of direct sunlight as there's not a lot of natural light in my house anyway. There are a few stored in the box or a case. The stored ones are the ones that need work. The ones that are out are too gorgeous to put away. I enjoy looking that them, posing them, and moving them around too much to keep them boxed up. I am terrified of yellowing, but I'm careful about light exposure and just wouldn't enjoy them as much if I kept them boxed up for long periods of time.

    11. Mine are out all the time. I keep the shutters in my doll room closed and if they yellow, so be it. I like being able to play with them and arrange various displays. I do save the boxes but I store those.

    12. I used to keep them out and posed on top of a low book shelf. Then I moved to a remarkably sunny new place, and acquired a kitten. So now they're all sitting on a high shelf in my closet until I can find a better arrangement for them.

    13. They just sit on my desk. I know a lot of people are extremely concerned with yellowing, but I'm not one of those people. They've been sitting out for years now and are still fine.

    14. I do not store mine. They are all over the house but especially in my living room. I keep the blinds closed at all times so they do not get too much sun. I want them out and with me to enjoy. I would not want to live in a case or cabinet, and so I do not have them do that either. They are my many, many, many roommates.

    15. Right now, I'm living in a tiny apartment. So my dolls are in there box...
But, the next summer, I will move in a house with enough place to store them!

    16. Like my other collections the dolls are displayed inside detolf

    17. And what is Deltolf?

      Teddy

    18. I have my dolls out and about in my room in different poses. I spend a lot of time working and drawing on my computer and have one of my curtains open so I don't strain my eyes. Most of my dolls I bought pretty heavily yellowed to begin with so I'm not too worried about yellowing. But I keep them out of direct sunlight and if I'm not in my room the lights are out and the curtains drawn. (I have an animation cel on my wall too, which UV light isn't great for either so I try to be cautious.) But cels degrade over time, and dolls yellow with age regardless so I'd rather enjoy them while they last. Though, my newest additions (BishonenHouse Steve and Vince) sit on my dresser on the opposite end of the room mostly away from the window.

I wish I had a DETOLF cabinet. (My sibling took mine hahaa.) It only takes a few days to gather dust on anything here, my gosh! The dust!
