1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How do you store your dolls day to day? XxX

Dec 21, 2015

    1. I have my three chilling on my shelf XD I never really saw the point (And I mean no offence) of buying such an expensive doll only to have it sit in a box.

    2. I was able to buy what I think is a teddy bear chair at Goodwill one day for... $5, if I remember right. So whenever I'm home (and even sometimes when I'm not) I have him sit in the chair on my desk. When I had a Dollzone Big Dipper I would have them sit on a little Barbie cushion I had lying around. I'm not sure how I'll display my next two when I get them, though. I know yellowing is a THING but... I have complicated feelings on the matter, haha. It's why when I collected other dolls I couldn't stand to see them in their box. (I do have Lance in his box sometimes, but generally with the cover off.)

    3. My dolls all used to sit on a shelf right above my desk, so I could always look at them and work on them easily whenever I wanted. However, when we got three new cats a few years ago, this quickly turned out to be impossible :sweat So I bought an Ikea Detolf display cabinet where they now all reside! They're still in the same room, just a little bit further away. Occasionally I'll grab one to play around with, work on or make some clothes or jewellery for.

    4. I'm one of those people that believes "why have such nice dolls only to hide them in boxes?"

My Crew are all out and about the house. I have blackout curtains in my bedroom, so many of the SDs and larger sit on either the bench or the chair that sit on top of the bureau. Some sit on a (human-sized) bench and a table in another bedroom. I also have ones that sit in the kitchen on a chair. I change out who gets to sit there since I spend quite a bit of time at the kitchen table. Oh, I also have one that sits on the bed near me while I'm online, but who that is also changes.

I even have The Headbasket, where the floating heads reside while waiting on bodies. That sits on my bookshelf in my bedroom. There are eight heads in it currently.

    5. Since I'm currently stuck in temporary living arrangements, and 90% of my stuff is in boxes anyhow, my dolls spend most of the time in their boxes as well. But I prefer to keep them on a shelf or dresser in a dark corner.

    6. I keep my dolls in the bags/boxes they came in for now. I'm planning on ordering some stands for them very soon so I can keep them out in the open.

    7. Mine's just a head right now, she's resting on my dresser, but when her body gets here (hopefully in the next couple days!) I plan on still leaving her on my dresser, it's tall enough to keep my cat from bothering her and I'm able to look at her all the time.
I plan on keeping my future dolls on my dresser too, at least until I move, then I guess I'll figure out where I'll keep them then.
I don't think I can bring myself to keep them in a box or out of sight, I like being able to see them whenever I want.

    8. I have one of these. I use it to display Hot Toys and other figures. It's a good cabinet with a space in the top to hang a light.

Storage of dolls... I keep my doll in her box at the moment, because she doesn't have any clothes. When I get back to the states, I plan on having a room for all my hobbies. Cosplaying, collections, photography; and there will be a place where I can display my dolls, but until then, my doll will remain in her box, until I find a better solution.

    9. My gramps found two mini chairs at a garage sale so I painted one and it's lavender and my Minifee fits in it perfectly. My Littlefee sits on the other chair, it's white, but she can't touch the ground lol.

    10. RE: The Littlefee, I feel like that's perfect for a littlefee, honestly!

    11. True!

    12. Yes, just like a little kid on an adult sized chair. It's just the effect I aim for with my SD10 kids.

    13. I keep them in display cases. Some are in boxes, till I get more stands/cases.

    14. My bjd's are in cases that close and in my darker rooms - a few of my less expensive ones might find there way to a dresser or such, the horrible state of my office would never allow me to place one in here - it would get buried in no time flat lol. I have my ooak clay dolls in my formal living room, but I like a few of my bjd's in all rooms that basically have artificial light. Once in awhile a favorite will find itself where I pass it several times a day - but I will stand and admire a case of dolls for 1/2 hour or more - dolls aren't my children but I have always appreciated the artistry of dolls and their beauty.

    15. As my room is far too cramped, the elves reside in cheap Wal-mart shelves in the basement.

This picture is old. They've taken over two cabinets now.

At college I stored them on the hat shelf in my closet. There were too many for me to bring, so I'd switch them out every time I went home.

Someday when I've more permanent residence, I plan to have a designated room. I certainly own the props for it.

    16. Mine aren't currently being stored. The ones I'm using for making patterns are hanging out on my workdesk and everyone else is bumming out in my mushroom chair. Mostly the SDs chill there.

    17. My doll is currently sitting on a box of BJD supplies in the corner next to my desk. It's a small nook that doesn't get any direct sunlight.

    18. Right now my doll is safely cushioned inside the bag she came in. I keep meaning to make space for her on my doll shelf once I get her some clothes. Call me weird, but a naked doll's crotch is NOT what I want to see first thing in the morning :D

    19. Right now they're chilling out on a dresser in my room. There's backout curtains over all the windows and I have them closes most of the day. I've tried keeping them in a different room, but that made me feel...distant; in a metaphorical sense. :sweat Yellowing be damned, it's far more pleasant to see them every day and to store 'em.

    20. I have a shelf a meter up my desk and they stay there (almost all of them); the little one are in cages hooked to my bed
I have a pair of chair and bamboo sofas I will put somewhere for the next dolls
