1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long did you wait for your first doll??

May 13, 2010

    1. Only 2 years to choose one. Approximately one month to get her because she was in stock at the company and EMS was really quick (the fact that customs didn't stop the package really helped too).

    2. I bought my first one at the start of the month. I was intending to buy one during our trip to Tokyo this February but found out that the doll I want needed to be pre-ordered. I went ahead and got it anyway, using up most of the pocket money I saved for Wonder Festival.

I feel happy with the decision though, as I didn't want to just settle for any in-stock doll. The heart wants what it wants, I suppose. :)

    3. It took me 3 years to save up and choose a sculpt, when he arrived i was so happy! Took me a lot coz i was 13 when i decided i wanted one lol

    4. The waiting was a whooping 1 year and 14 days. I almost gave-up on him and when he arrived, I contemplated on selling him (and almost did!) but in the end, I couldn't after all, I came to love him. I just needed to bond with and get to know him.

    5. I consider myself really lucky!

My first doll was purchased directly from my best friend who had gotten me into the hobby. She was thinning out her ABJD family & cut me an AWESOME deal. While I never bonded to the doll, she gave me an entire wardrobe, including multiple eyes & wigs with the doll for $100. I had the doll the same day I chose to buy her. XD

    6. Six months. Six looooooooong months.

The wait absolutely killed me, especially after I finished his layaway. Spent the time acquiring wigs and clothes.

On the bright side, that long wait made my six month wait for Miss Kitty much more bearable.

    7. About a week, I was super lucky ! I found the head I wanted on the marketplace just two days after I decided to save for it. It's not a very popular head and I haven't seen any on the french marketplace since, so I was lucky for that. I ordered it a body from Bobobie, getting ready to wait a few months but it turned out they had the body in stock and it shipped to me super quickly - more luck ! Eventually both the head and the body arrived to my house the very same day. Amazing experience to have with your first doll !

    8. I waited my first one about two months. I consider myself lucky because shipping didn't delay even though there was some problems with manufacturing. I spent my waiting time reading bjd stuff and crafting different kind of wigs so it didn't really feel that long. :)

    9. I think I waited between 1 1/2 months to 2 months?

    10. My first doll was in stock, so I didn't have to wait more than a week for her to come.
My second doll (which I have since sold, sadly) was also in stock. The doll I'm waiting on now is the first doll I've ever pre-ordered, so I'm starting to feel like an actual BJD owner, dying with anticipation for my darling SD boy.

    11. Gosh...I think I was a teen when I first discovered BJD's. I didn't end up getting my first one until last December. So, a little over 10 years.

    12. My first doll was a stock doll also. :kitty2 It took about a week to arrive if I remember correctly. So not bad!

    13. My first doll from Dollshe. All know that he often doesn't meet the deadline. But then I was lucky: after layaway I waited only for month - and the doll arrived.

    14. Do u still remember how long did you wait for your first doll ? :aheartbea
I only waited a month - it's nothing compared to what others wait for ^^; But I think long wait times can put off some new collectors, especially if it's your first.
Is there any special meaning about their name??
Not really haha I just thought it was cute and it "fit" her :/

    15. I ordered my first doll on January 12th, 2016 and I got him on March 12th. So it took exactly two months for my doll to get here. It was worth the wait.

    16. I wait one about one month...? I feel like waiting a year :)

    17. My first was a Mystic Kids Evelyn, and she took just over a month. It certainly did feel like the longest month of my life. Untill of course I waited 6 months for another.

    18. I got my very first bjd on ebay so the wait was short. I got the second, my Eva shown here, from overseas so it took a few weeks to get her, but less than a factory order. All waits are tooooooooooooo long for me.

    19. About 3 months for mine. I added blushing so an additional week was tacked on to the wait. Thank goodness Alice's Collections was so polite. I kept asking my honey to pester them about where my boy was. XD Little Monica was very good at getting him out at a decent time though, IMO.

    20. Do u still remember how long did you wait for your first doll ?

My first doll took about 3 days to get home because he was an in-stock 70cm ResinSoul Feng Boy doll at Denver Doll Emporium.

Is there any special meaning about their name??

No, I just saw him and I knew he had to be named Kyle Starr. :kitty2

Any things special or unforgettable happened while you get them??

There was nothing special or unforgettable when I was waiting for Kyle, and I am very glad because I was already way too nervous and excited.
