1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long did you wait for your first doll??

May 13, 2010

    1. I'm waiting until June 13 - June 21. Which is pretty cool, because the 21st is my birthday :)

    2. I only had to wait for about a month for my first doll. My second doll took about 3 months.

    3. After my payment I had to wait only 3 weeks )

    4. When I was 14, I fell in love with one doll in particular, Migidoll's Ryu. He is absolute holy grail but must wait till my birthday in October to get him sadly. I am now 18 and found a Luts El on ebay from the UK and he came with quite a bit of stuff including a nice carry case, so I figured I didn't have much money to buy a doll new and have the custom charges on top so my boyfriend lent me the money and I got him the next day after buying him! I am so happy I got him as he is lovely however I am making sure that my next buy will be a Ryu :D

    5. *_* Still waiting for my first dollies...

In terms of liking time... Let's see I saw BJD's for the first time on the net I think in like 2005? I didn't really know much about them but I liked them and kinda wanted one from then on in.
In terms of research time... So from 2005 until this year the BJD bug lay dormant. And then it bit me HARD. :o Oh ouch! haha Before I made my recent BJD purchase I'd say I did HEAVY-DUTY research for a month or two? I was really going back and forth from low-costing to expensive... 45cm to 70cm. I'm really happy I decided to stick with the Feeple Chloe though.
In terms of processing time... According to the Fairyland website 60 days is their normal processing time. However with all the extra orders people put in add 20 working days or 28 days with weekends. Sooooo I'm 22 day into the 88 day waiting period. Just for processing mind you! Then I still have to wait for shipping once my dollies are done.

Oh... oh... here come the tears. :...(:...(:...(:...(

So in the meantime I am soothing my nerves by watching box opening videos, reading lots of forums, and hecking out all the pics I can. Stuff like that.

I will have to get back to you once she actually arrives. I'm sure I'll be doing a video of it.

    6. Hrm. My very first doll was made from new as I bought him from Domuya. He took about a month to get to me, all told. My second and third dolls (DZ Wing and Domuya Fay) were odd as they were second hand. Wing took about three days, Fay took a month thanks to the Customs department not sending me a letter to let me know she had arrived! SOOM Heliot I paid for via layaway so he was about 4 months in waiting, all told, if you're counting from when money goes down on a doll to when you actually have them,

    7. It was a doll head from DIM. And it took 8 week to came.

    8. I got my Dollzone Fei from a user here on DoA, and I only waited about a week for her. ^^; I count myself lucky! Right now, I'm waiting on my second doll. She's being shipped today, and it shouldn't take much more than a week for her either!

      I haven't bought direct from a company yet. The dolls I keep falling for are ones I find in the Marketplace. Can't pass up the chance to adopt a doll who needs a new home. <w<;

    9. Well, at first I had to save up money for about... three months, I think it was? And when I had made my payment, it took six weeks for her to find her way to Sweden. A painful wait (though I know it's nothing compared to some people who have to wait for like half a year for their dolls!), but so worth the time!

    10. My first doll i ordered was a Tiny Fairy from BlueFairy.

It came WITHIN A WEEK :o
I was really surprised! It was so much earlier than what the times said?!

My second doll took the usual time, about two months...

    11. I waited a good 2 months or so and surprisingly she came in earlier then i expected :O! from the moment i saw her online, i felt she was meant for me. She had just what i described to my friend that i wanted, that is I wanted her to be an MSD with elf ears. I was thrilled to find her at a price range I could afford. As for Names, I named her Dusk, I didn't want her to have a name name that humans have, she's not human she's elf! so I gave her a name that has to do with nature. ^-^ she takes great pictures too, for a doll that acts so shy and quiet.

    12. I suppose I waited about a little under a month to get my first doll- she arrived at my house about a week and a half after ordering (yay, being in stock!), but I had to wait until Christmas to play with her! xD

    13. Only three days - he was in stock. My payment went through the day after I ordered, he was sent off the next day and arrived the day after. :)

    14. i bought my first bjd(elena sd13) at the Volks Tenshi-no-Sumika in Torrance('10) with my best friend. i was pretty stoked to have been able to been get my first so easily :)
i will say waiting for dolls in the mail is pretty fun too, though at times nerve-wrenching:sweat

    15. Based on my experience, not more than a month or so... :3

    16. Funny thing with me and waiting... I was suppose to do a 3 months layaway for my first doll but I ended up being too impatient and paying for Everything in one week! XDD The doll itself took about 2-3 weeks to make and about 2-3 torturous days of shipping. ^^

    17. My first doll took almost 4 months (even though in should have only taken 6 weeks) because the company forgot to ship him out ^_^; They apologized and sent me an extra hand as a 'gift' but that was the longest 4 months, ever.

    18. Mine took about a month and a half. A pretty short wait, but it was the longest six weeks of my life.

    19. I ordered my first doll a little more than two months ago ^^ April 9th to be exact. Bluefairy (I ordered a TF Louis, by the way.) shipped her on May 23rd, and she arrived saftely on May 26th! So it took her exactly fourty-seven days to get here.

    20. I waited about fifty-three days for Feya to arrive. She actually arrived late, according to Luts standards, but early compared to when Luts told us to expect her when a Korean-speaking friend contacted them about it. Luts gave me two free shirts and a headbans as freebies, though. XD
