1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long is too long for wait times?

Apr 12, 2018

    1. 10+ months, though even if I'd be absolutely dying for months at a time it would be worth it and I would still buy the doll ^^

    2. The longest I waited was around 6 months I believe for my Doll Chateau girl 7 years ago. I still have her and love her after 7 years so thinking of it that way 6 months wait was nothing.

I will order from Dollshe soon as well if I can’t find second hand and hunker down for the 2yr wait from them. My tastes seem to remain constant(probably because my taste range is all the way from angel Philia to Iplehouse and everything in between) so I am not worried about that.

    3. In my opinion anything over two or three months is too long, especially if you have to pay the full amount in advance.
If the wait times are longer, companies should consider a partial payment in the beginning and the full payment after finishing the doll. I only ordered directly from Volks in the last years, so I don‘t know how other companies handled these things. I would never order from a company where I know that the waiting time is over a year.
If I remember correctly I had to pay Volks for their DD Megurine Luka the full amount in advance and waited almost a year. I don’t regret ordering her but that was a bit annoying. It is like giving a company a free credit. Times are difficult these days and you never know if the company still exists in one or two years.

    4. Well I can wait for a year if the company notices to me before purchasing but I think I'll be mad if they don't.
I don't like waiting at all :( It's too cruel without knowing what's going on.

    5. 6 months max... unless I didnt do enough research of the wait time or just really really want the doll... then, up to a year...

    6. 8 months is my limit. Companies, while aesthetic, should still adhere to a professional timeline for goods and services!

    7. You got your Arsene in less than eight months?! Congrats - that must have been a record for Dollshe. :thumbup

    8. I did, right on eight. I had been emailing them frequently, and I mentioned that it would be my first doll and I was feeling sad not having one in my hands. The character was a spirit animal of sorts for me, and I guess they felt sorry for me. I hear about the 2+ year waits with others and feel so awful for them!

    9. Well bless their hearts for taking pity on a new collector! Considering their track record, that's actually extremely touching...and your boy is lovely. :)

    10. I have no money to spoil them anyway so a long wait doesn't bother me.

My first dolls are on the way so will be busy trying to learn to sew for them whilst I'm waiting for Doll Family A Max.

Freaking out a bit because package shipped on 01/07 and seems to have disappeared off of the face of the earth on 06/07. It just says 'in transit'. Is that normal? I live in England and I am not familiar with all this XD

    11. I always look for terms of each doll company.
Now have a very nervous time with Dollshe, cause payed for my dolls in October 2020, but no dolls, no money back, no even terms when my dolls would be done ((
So I began to think, that normal terms are within terms of paypal service for buyers which affords your your money back in such cases (((

    12. So I consider myself spoiled because I have never waited longer than 6 months for a doll. I could never wait for Dollshe, that 2yr turnaround is absurd.

    13. The longest wait I'd be willing to do is probably 1 year, and that's only if I reeeeeally want the doll.
