How long is your wishlist?

Hmm, I don't think my wishlist is particularly long but I mainly use the wishlist to write down which dolls I like. I don't plan on getting all the ones on my list as that would be too many dolls. I'm still new to this hobby and the idea of owning so many dolls is a bit daunting. Who knows? I could end up owning as many dolls as on my wishlist but it's still too soon to tell.
Since my list is still so new, I haven't really cycled dolls in and out of it yet.
I go between planning on buying a doll and buying on the fly. It depends on if there's a good sale that I have to get it at that moment or I can wait and plan to buy it eventually.
It's just going to take a while before I get something on my wishlist. And I'm sure it could grow as I learn more and more about this hobby.

That’s a good idea to write it down and then prioritize.

I started with bjd’s About 8 years ago, and was just getting started when real life intervened. Now all these years later I am back and so enjoying the ones I do have. But also remembering ones I planned to buy back when they were available. Now that they are long gone they have achieved a certain mystique in my mind. I’ll be haunting the Marketplace someday, I hope. Maybe one of them will be ready for anew home.

 

My wishlist is currently 3 artist dolls (1/4 Girls) and 1 pet (penguin)

 

My wishlist is pretty short, I think. I only have 2 full dolls and a couple bodies that I am wanting right now.

 

I like the thrill of hunting sculpts and making lists for characters, but a lot of the time I will see something i like secondhand that will fit a character and just get that instead(usually only for less-important secondary characters though). As for character cycling, I keep my characters based on storylines and recently shortened my list because i had too many stories going at once(i reduced the stories from 5 to 3 but one is a collab story so its really more like 2). That being said, my list is sill well into the double- digits

 

Yes! I have a list too, and its getting longer by the minute lol. I only ordered my 1st doll end of last year and now I want another 10 already lol.

I have OCs in my head and when I find a sculpt that fits, it goes on the list. But I also stumble upon dolls that are too cute to pass so that goes on my list too lol. I manage my list with an excel file for financing the dolls so that every payment is calculated and no last minute "payment due" surprises.

 

Mine is not very long, It used to be just a few dolls from Iplehouse, but now that i'm about to order My first, i don't wish for much, i am very interested in a RingDoll, a 5th Motif, Artbimong and maaaaaaybe a Fairyland, i don't have an specific sculpt that i want for the RingDoll or the 5th Motif but im very interested in a Narae402 from Art Bimong and of course a Fairyland Cloe

 

I have so many dolls on my wish-list, I haven't added them all up yet but I'd be wayy too scared to.
On my more "realistic" wishlist, I have about 8 dolls that I've planned out a set personality, look and everything

 

I have 3 dolls from one story, 3 from another, and then 2 dolls which I might get.
I don't really want to have more than 10 dolls, because it seems as too much, but wishlist keep growing...

 

My doll wishlist is super short. 1 msd, an artist doll (that hasn't even been made yet), and a couple of pet dolls

Now my doll to-do list is another story...

I never have definite doll plans. If a doll from my list arrives at the right place and time, I've got the money in hand, the stars are aligned, etc. etc. then I buy it. Important to note - I buy almost exclusively secondhand dolls. It's always a bit of a gamble because I never know what's going to show up in the Marketplace or elsewhere, but honestly that's half the fun.

 

I kind of just buy on impulse without characters in mind. It ends up working really well and I a doll just comes alive after a faceup and wig and tells me what character they are. I tried to plan, but they'd always end up so different than what I thought they'd be. I do have a wishlist with about 5 dolls I'd love to have. But I started off pretty quick in the second hand market buying and really should slow down lol.

 

Too long, but they're all minifee at the moment. Right now I'm just trying to get the three characters I'm working on. 1/3 yeah! Now I need a Minifee Shushu and a Minifee Mirwen or a Minifee Celine...not sure yet....Every time the Shushu comes up used, there's something preventing me from getting it. *cry*

 

At the moment, my list consists of just a nebulous handful of parts and tools for the doll I've got.

 

Longer than my life

 

Seeing this thread made me realize I SHOULD make a wishlist so I don't forget what doll companies/sculpts I'm interested in... So I officially have a one doll wishlist started now.

 

My wishlist is only two dolls by more, but I think it will become longer as time passes.

 

Currently my wishlist is quite short, it used to be much longer. I'm only looking for 4 heads and need 4 bodies for my floating heads. I used to look at 10 dolls last years. Now I've got nearly eveything I was looking for!

 

My wishlist only contains two dolls at the moment, so not very long. I'm pretty picky about sculpts also which is probably why.
