1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long is your wishlist?

Apr 7, 2017

    1. I have a list of sculpts I like that isn't very long to start with, but it's full of sculpts I've always been fond of even if I could never find a reason for purchasing them. Then I have a wish list with dolls I want to shell characters into, which at the moment consists of one doll and two bodies, as I already have the heads. Then there's the list of dolls I want because I have ideas for them, and it's more of a queue for the wish list because I'm trying to take my time to make sure they're not impulse buys.

    2. Mine is waaaaaaay too long. Honestly I feel a bit embarrassed when I look at my wishlist, and the one I have on my profile here isn't even fully updated. I know I should really cut back, but my brain just tells me to collect all of what I want (even though many are no longer available easily).

    3. It's pretty empty!! Right now it's just completing my existing dolls.

    4. It's a really long one. All of the dolls looks so beautiful:(

    5. My wish list isn’t long at all. Maybe two dolls :whee: That being said… I have 30 dolls now and keep finding more I love randomly on the second hand market, or new doll releases :doh My poor wallet is screaming even tho my wish list isn’t long lol

    6. Right now it's at 3, two a "if I ever get lucky and it comes up on the MP/gets re-released" and one who's not a limited release so he's very far on the back burner. I'm happy with my current crew, and I don't really have a desire to expand.

    7. Right now it’s two
I’m mostly trying to concentrate on the dolls I have right now

    8. just the one doll at the moment!

    9. Just one and she's been pre-ordered.

I have a whole list of "wanna" haves but I know I'm not going to make the effort to get them. They feel more like whims than loves.

    10. I keep two wishlists.

The "Must bring home" A-list are the dolls that I am actively looking for with the intent to buy and bring home.
Currently, my A-list has two dolls, they're already factored into my BJD spending plans for this year, and I'm hoping that both of them will come home this year.

The "maybe, would be nice" B-list has dolls that I like, they are good candidates for characters that fit into my current doll crew... but I'm not burning with desire for them yet, and I will not spend money on them right now. But they're the dolls standing in the wings with the potential to graduate into the A-list at any time for whatever reason... and likewise, they can fall off the B-list for any reason.
Currently, my B-list has around 5 dolls.

And then I keep a casual longlist of everything else that I like looking at but don't want to own. This includes companies/artisans that I generally keep an eye on for new releases. Maybe a sculpt on the longlist will graduate into the B-list one day, but this hasn't happened yet: it's more common for dolls to enter my B-list on early sighting, and then fall down into the longlist.

    11. I have one doll and don't really want another one. Before I got into the hobby, I had the impression that most people only had one or two dolls themselves so it really amazed me when I found out people have whole collections of them! I have fun looking at people's collections but I know having that many dolls would overwhelm me and I wouldn't be able to form a bond with all of them. So while I don't have a wishlist for dolls, I do have a wishlist of clothes and other accessories I want to get for my doll!

    12. Not that long. I mainly want bodies for floating heads, and maybe one or two heads for alternatives forms of some of my characters. I write my wishlist on my DOA profile and I keep it more or less up to date.

    13. my wishlist is actually super short! i can only seem to focus on one doll at a time, so the entirety of my attention is focused on buying my current "grail" until i can even think about wanting another. my clothing/wig wishlist however.. is super long

    14. I have a bunch of characters I want to shell, so I have a wishlist a mile long for definite and possible hybrids to arrive at a total of (currently) a dozen dolls. (But being very picky helps!)

    15. I don't think it's too long I haven't finalized my list, but so far it's below 15. It's mainly dolls I couldn't win in lotteries, dolls i missed the deadline, or dolls I could have bought but unfortunately life like an accident got in the way. Those are the dolls mainly on my list. There are a few dolls i wonder if I should add to my wishlist. I don't know if dolls that are like really rare hard to get I should add in my list because then i might long for something that might be impossible to get. Like a really old doll that's pretty rare. Will I even find it in a condition I like? My wishlist is probably always never going to be finalized. I will say about 5 to 20 then. It most likely will go up to 100s in the future. A lot of the dolls i like are lottery systems. I rarely win and I have a hard time finding the doll second hand on instagram.

I used to plan and prep, but if I do that I get my hopes up. Now I just plan a little to make sure I know what I might want before the deadline passes. Then i stalk a few other favorite company pages to see if there is a new doll coming up and work around what I might want.

    16. It gets longer almost every day :chomp:

    17. I keep adding and deleting dolls. As of today it only has five must haves.

    18. My wishlist is actually pretty short. Though I don’t have a lot of hope of finding a few of the sculpts on it. It tends to change quite often on a whim or as I acquire dolls from it. I usually talk myself out of dolls that will be expensive or a pain to get as well. I try very hard not to fall in love with too many dolls and sometimes when I do I can get over it rather quickly. When something sits on the wishlist for a long while, that’s how I know I’m serious about trying to find it.

    19. About 5 dolls!
