1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long was it between getting your first and second doll?

Apr 17, 2007

    1. About three months~ (and coincidentally my third doll also has three months a difference with the second)

    2. Around 2-3 months.

I definitely didn't plan to get many dolls before I bought my first doll, but my first one I acquired mid 2009, and while I no longer own that doll, I currently have 8 dolls (purchased within 3.5 yrs), and I'm planning on selling a few.

    3. One year(give or take a month). But, only because that is when my mom gave me enough money to buy them.

    4. I'm not going to count floating heads here and say it was from March 2009 to April 2011. Quite a long stretch between dolls!

    5. Two years for me. I need time to bond that's why I can't buy multiple dolls at the same time...I've done it and all those dolls ended up on the market place.

    6. A year and a half, nearly. No, really. Agatha came home in July 2010, and Nanoha didn't arrive until November 2011. A longer than average gap it seems!

    7. One year. :sweat

    8. It took around 2 weeks before I ordered my second doll I think.

    9. Three months. I bought 3 dolls in this year, but not a single doll in the following year. It also took me about a year of hesitating before I decided to order my first doll.

    10. If I dind't remember wrongly, it was only two to three month only..

    11. I've waited about 5-6 months between doll purchases. Realistically I would have wanted to wait longer, but an opportunity came along and I seized in rather impulsively. I'm happy I did though.

    12. I think it was about 4 months.
It was because of the release of DIM Aleksei and I neeeeded him.
I liked Angelo a lot at that time but was set on sticking with MSD so I wasn't really intent on getting a second doll but when DIM came out with their Happy line it was over.

    13. Looking back there were at least four months between my first doll and my second then another few to the next and so on.
The procedure seems to be, 1. Get new doll. Ooooh, Ahhhh, try many wigs, eyes and outfits.
      2. Check list of dolls on 'want' list.
      3. Carefully decide which doll to purchase next.
      4. Argue with self about buying ANOTHER doll.
      5. Order another doll.
      6. Buy eyes, wigs and clothes for dolls while waiting for the newest to arrive.
      7. Repeat from one.

      :D

    14. I think i spent 3 or 4 years since i wanted my first doll to really get it. That was two years ago. At first i thought: well i only need one i can spend money just one time but, since my first doll arrived at home i totally fall in love and want more and more XD The second one i wasted one year after the first one.

    15. 7 or 8 months. It was difficult for me to order big BJD, but now size is not a problem at all)

    16. About 2 years as I only ordered my second on the 8th :)

    17. Well, I am a bit newer to BJD's. I got my first doll as a gift on January 11th and then I baught my second doll with my tax money Last week. Sylvanna(the name of my msd) is only a week old and Yuki (The name of my slim Yosd). So Far I'm not planning on buying anymore dolls until next year's tax time.

    18. I ordered my first doll in Spring 2009? I didn't get my second until November 2011. Quite the gap!
It's odd though, since I bought my third doll only a month after I bought my second.

    19. It was about six months. I got Callahan in the summer of 2008, and started paying layaway on Chatelaine in
February of 2009 if my memory serves me correctly.

    20. First doll: August 2009
      Second doll: June 2010
      Third doll: January 2012

Those are the arrival dates though. I'm somewhere at 1 doll a year, though the longer than usual gap between my 2nd and 3rd was cos I was busy with important examinations last year.
