1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How long was it between getting your first and second doll?

Apr 17, 2007

    1. My first doll -Vin [BBD Valentine]
      Purchased: November 2011
      Arrived: November 2011

My Second doll- Winter [RD Petter]
      Purchased: January 2012
      Arrived: January 2012

Sooo a couple of months between my first two. After I bought Vin, I was happy, but about a month later I knew 1 just wasn't enough and I knew he needed a partner. I wasn't "looking" to buy Winter persay, but when browsing doll websites it was literally love at first sight with him. I saw him, I felt something in my heart and a week later I ordered him and he came 2 weeks after that. I got really lucky with both my dolls. They both happened to be in stock from the companies I got them from.
I don't think I will be buying another doll for a while, though I do have several in my mind that I would like to have eventually. Right now 2 is enough for the time/money/space I have to accommodate them with and I would like to concentrate on them for a while before adding anyone new. If I do get another doll it will most likely be a CTY Thinking Helios floating head, which I plan on making into an Iason Mink doll, and tinkering with him learning to do faceups and what not, but his body wouldn't come until I had his face right *shrug*.

    2. i got my first doll (iplehouse EID) in december last year and after spending a month of summer with him i decided i sell him and bought my second doll at the end of january... not a good start haha

    3. I got my first doll 3 weeks ago and now to going to buy else....its not good)) because i thoutht that it will be only one))))

    4. It's never just one lol oh not ever...

    5. I got my first doll (a Domuya D1-30 Potpourri) sometime in July 2011, the second one (a DollZone Lotus) I got a couple of weeks later :aheartbea

    6. I adoptet my first doll early autumn 2010 and didn't plan for another.
As I got more into the hobby I decided to buy iplehouse Chase - the first doll I actually fell for :P
I got him June 2011. After that everything went down hill and I've expanded my family with three new dolls in only 6 months, so be carefull xD

    7. I believe it was only a couple months between my first 2 dolls. I was lucky to be able to adopt a couple of the "extras" that had been ordered of 2 different editions. With the wait times, it can seem like forever between dolls!

    8. I got my first doll in June '11. I had planned for my second when I would have a chance for her (because she always was going to come home!). I thought this would be this coming summer when I could work and put some money away along with what I could pull together doing odd things for family during the college term. Then things changed and I didn't plan on her before I graduated in a year.

Then my cousin bought me another as a very amazing gift. He arrived just yesterday. So its been over six months and I had ended up planning for a year and a half between. I can't say I regret him being here! Now I'll have, perhaps, an easier time waiting to be able to bring her home!

    9. I got my first doll in October 2006 and got my second 7 months later in May 2007. I got a head in January 2008 and didn't get another full doll until October 2010.

    10. I got my first doll in 2006, and now I'm waiting for my second doll to arrive in 2012. A nice big gap for me to spoil my boy rotten :)

    11. First Doll Purchase: Dec. 2010
      Dollshe Saint (Arrived: Feb. 2012)

      Second Doll Purchase: June 2011
Soom Amber MD from DoA MP (Arrived June 2011)

Kind of complicated, but the first doll I ever bought arrived over a year later! This was due to company issues. It was 6 months after I bought my first doll that I bought my second.

    12. First doll purchase - May 2011
Minaru World Special Clare (bought from Angel Dolls' stock so she arrived in about 4 days)

Second doll purchase - Feb 2012
Blue Fairy Choice Emilie (yet to arrive)

Not that it's taken me so long to save, it's just only been recently that I've increasingly wanted another one ^^

    13. My first girl was an impulse buy...and as you can see in my sig, I'm waiting for 3 more XD I'm a horrible compulsive shopper. But, at least I'm selling other collections at the same rate I'm buying dolls. And, two of the three that I'm waiting on are 2nd hand, so they're not TERRIBLY expensive...yeah, that's it...I can justify it if I try! haha

    14. I orrdered my frist doll on January 31 2012 she is a DZ scarecrow hal-2 (still waiting for her to arrive) and one month and one week later on Murch 10 2012 I put a DC Bella on layaway. Not telling the family about the second.

    15. My first doll was bought on impulse, and when I got her, I knew I wanted another one, and bought my second one right after. I got my second one home half a month later. :)

    16. For awhile I thought my first might be my only BJD. However, that soon changed, haha. I bought my second maybe a month or two later and she was home with me within a week. No regrets!

    17. I got my Luo this febuary, then Taregan followed 2 weeks later and Arkando should be arriving this week.
although I know I need to slow down I just cant help myself. I WANT THEM NOW!

    18. I waited a month before I bought my second doll. The funny thing though, is that the second doll came first and I am still waiting for the second. If you're talking about actually having the doll with you, it would be three months, I think, but I bought them much closer together than that.

    19. I ordered my first doll years ago and about four maybe five months after Malice came home I ordered three more. And then a month after that I ordered my fifth doll. Now, the only one who is still with me from my first years in the doll hobby is my first, Malice. Though I did reorder a BBB Elfkin recently since I missed having the sculpt in my collection.

    20. I bought the second doll in 4 months after i've got my first. BJD's are really stunning.
