How many BJDs do you have? (2021 & 2022)

3 on hand... and 5 ordered - 4 out of thous from Dollshe, which means they don't count... So...3,5? Is that a valid number? Or does 0,5 HAVE to be a floating head?

I was taking a quick doll inventory the other day, and it got me wondering: how many dolls do people have? Obviously, amounts will vary on how many we think we can handle or have space for so I'd like to ask you all about your collections. How many dolls do you have? What sizes are they? What kinds or styles are they? Do you want more? Less? Are they out and about or packed away? Give me some doll demographics!

 

Not including pet dolls, floating heads and dolls that are currently taken apart and put in boxes, I have 17 dolls with 11 of them being 60+ cm. I also have 3 more big guys ordered.

How many BJDs do you have? 2021 & 2022

 

Just did a check for the new year and I'm currently at about 83, give or take, full dolls (counting pet dolls and the like, and not counting the dolls I plan to sell), with prolly 5 or 6 floating heads I plan to get bods for and *coughmumblecoughcough* incoming and layaway <_<. It's a lot, haha... to be fair though, I have been in the hobby since 2003 so it's given me plenty of years to become a hoarder XD

 

I have 2 BJDs - both Yosd. I have an MSD on the way (preorder).

Non BJD - I have 2 Smartdolls, 1 Pullip, 1 Barbie, 1 Cave club, a bunch of Rainbow High (about to get rid of half my collection though), and a handful of Nanana

I do plan on having a bunch more BJDs eventually but thats a slow process haha

 

I have 7 right now, and 5 under process, I also have around 10 heads that I haven’t find a body for them yet, they also don’t have faceup…

 

I'm at 10 dolls right now and one floating head. Probably won't ever get the floating head a body at this point. I don't really have room for the ones I have and so all my tinies are still at my mom's house. You'd think they'd be easiest to store but they're also lowest priority for me.

I think the perfect number of dolls is 1, but I'm far past that and too attached to sell anyone! But I am jealous of everyone who has enough impulse control to hold off and pick their one perfect doll and stick with them.

I couldn't handle 50+ dolls myself (at least I don't think I could!) but I want to come visit everyone with huge collections so I can sit in awe for a while. I seriously want to walk around all of your houses!

Part of the fun is getting to show folks my dolls.
And you're correct...it's a fine line between enjoying my collection & feeling overwhelmed by the resin hoard. It was easier to do more with just couple dolls but then they are each so different & special to me that I can't seem to give anyone up while adding new ones to the family... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

 

I have 16 full dolls, and a bunch of floating heads. 8 Sd, 4 msd, 2 yo-sd, 1 mature tiny and 1 teeny tiny. The floating heads are all SD sized, but I don't remember how many I have.

They're all currently in their boxes since we moved and are still painting.

 

I have 14 and two more on order. I'm thinking about slowing down, I have only four or so I seriously want left. After that I think I should focus on the ones I've got. Although so far I'm handling all of them a decent amount (except the one with the worst body, I might have to get another one for her). So I figure, as long as I do stuff with them it's fine...

 

I'm always going to say "Too many!"... Even though I'm really fond of my whole tribe of little resin minions.

 

I have 6 on-topic dolls

One msd, one big baby, two yosd, a 30cm imda doll and a 17cm doll.

Love my crew, I have two more dolls on order.

 

Just BJD?... over fifty - don't make me face the reality of an accurate count.
Other dolls?... lets round that up to an even house-full.

They range from RealPuki right up to Lusion for the BJDs, biggest numbers of SD size... the other types of doll are pretty similar in size range.

The SDs are mostly children in a large extended Victorian family of siblings, half-siblings, and cousins. Some of them are elves and half-elves. There are some smallers sizes as younger children. The smaller the dolls the more they veer toward the fae and fantasy races.

I shouldn't want more - there's a space issue. Def don't want less though.

What's the point of having them if they're packed away? That would just be a complete waste - they're out where they can be played with. This picture shows one corner of our living room but there are dolls in other parts of the room, and in three other rooms

I currently have 20 full dolls and 2 floating heads (hopefully soon to be full dolls too).
For the full dolls I have 1 SD, 17 MSD and 2 YoSD. I obviously go for MSD size primarily haha
I will definitely be adding more over time but I've thankfully naturally slowed down a lot over the last year or so.
I kind of wish I had slowed down earlier as it is sometimes a little overwhelming with the amount I have but I love all my dolls and don't plan to ever get rid of any of them.
All of my dolls are out on display.

 

My resin army, is mostly out, and fills the bedroom, it is mostly SD/bigger dolls with a good chunk of MSDs and a few random 1/6 and smaller. As for count, (and I do not count floating parts as full dolls) without extra heads and without things on order. I just hit 100 dolls thanks to a pair of MNF twins. I do not want less, at this time I love them all, they take turns as favorite of the day/week.

 

I have 18, all Soom Teenie Gems. There's some I still want but the list is definitely shrinking.

 

I currently have 37 complete (though several are lacking faceups), I'll be completing #38 today (her body is out for delivery!!!), and I have 4 more floating heads that need bodies (I technically have 7 floating heads but 3 I'm unsure if I'm selling or not), and 2 lone bodies who need heads.
My biggest category is MSD size (though I prefer SDs these days) and I keep all mine out in a large antique display cabinet
I don't have any space left at the moment but I'm not looking to downsize. I definitely want more eventually.

 

I always thought I would be lucky just to have one or two dolls, but I currently have 9 with one preordered. Most of my dolls are MSD or YoSD in size with one tiny (my Soom Leepy). I gravitate to anthro and fantasy style dolls, so my collection is a mix of DearMine, Dollzone, Doll Chateau, and Dream Valley with two small creator dolls. My dolls are out, I'm currently working on a better display case for them! Most are blank and naked as I find the time/confidence to finally paint them and make their clothes, but I own 3 DearMine fullsets I adore. I want to add to my collection, just slowly over time. I have a couple of characters to shell that I'm waiting for the right sculpt for, and money is tight enough that I have to really love a sculpt to buy it. I'm trying to hold off on getting any more until I work on the dolls I do have, but one managed to sneak in this month haha!
