How many BJDs do you have? (2021 & 2022)

I had 3 at the end of 2020 (the same 3 I'd had from 2006-2008). In 2021 I bought 3 more dolls. This year I've already bought 1 more doll. So now I'm at 7! I always thought that that would be plenty, but there are at least 5 other dolls I learned that I'd love to own, so I might hit 10-12. We'll see what this year brings!

 

As of today I am down to 4 bjds with one on the way. I miss a few of them, but feel relieved to have less and happy to have kept my very favorites. I feel like I enjoy them more this way. I go back and forth on selling the Myou I just got and the one I have coming because I prefer the Atelier Momoni's hands down and there are a few that I still want, but I haven't fully decided yet. I plan to stick to only buying from the one artist I love going forward and keep the number of the bjds to 5 or less...goals.

Just 2 right now, but I didn't get into the hobby until last fall. Probably just going to enjoy the ones I have for the moment, although I wouldn't mind getting a few more in the future.

 

Thank you all for the answers. I have 59 bids of which 11 are SD, 21 MSD, and the rest tinies of various scales. All but three of my SDs are in storage (I live in a studio apartment) with two MSDs. Everyone else is up on a doll shelf or in a doll house. Most of my dolls have a fantasy or mori-style aesthetic although I do have a few with more modern and even futuristic clothes. Lastly, even though I'm limited on space, I do want more

 

I currently have 8 at home with three more on the way for this year. Only one is still on layaway, one should be arriving at DDE any day now, and one is still processing through Alice's Collection.

 

I have 2 at the moment! Its so cool to see the variance between doll crew sizes.

 

Currently zero hoping that’ll change in the near future.

 

Hello to the eight people who voted over 100. I would very much like to meet you. That's amazing.

12, with four on the way. 13 if you count my 50cm Obitsu vinyl doll. For someone who swore she would never get an SD, I'm amused that almost all of my dolls (eight) are SDs now - as are three of the four on the way. They are addictive.

I really enjoy my collection, but I am sad that I have only one 1/6 scale mature tiny (avatar picture). I want to add a Granado 29cm doll to my collection.

Now, if someone would be so kind as to point me to the thread of pictures of your doll armies, I would be immensely grateful.

 

Stay in the hobby long enough and the numbers just sort of sneak up on you...

A few new releases a year here...
A bod for an event head or a Dreaming/Sleeping "extra" one there...
A couple of impulse buys when you're window shipping on Mandarake...

... And the next think you know you're counting the crew and it's like "Holy heck, how did I end up with a whole tribe?!"

 

I like to have a small amount of actual dolls, and more accessories/clothing, not sure why because when I find the perfect outfit the doll tends to stay in it!

 

I currently have five BJD's but I have about three on the way with a fourth one being saved up for! The sculpts this year really hit my wallet hard haha

 

30 total, though only 27 are "on topic" (the others are event dolls with fewer joints), one on the way, and one head. Aaaand one I'm planning to order before the month's out.

By the end of the year I'll have almost 30 without even counting the little event dolls.

 

I currently have four dolls. But my wishlist is pretty long so I hope I will add at least two more to my collection this year
