  2. Dollshe Craft and all dolls created by Dollshe, including any dolls created under his new or future companies, including Club Coco BJD are now banned from Den of Angels. Dollshe and the sculptor may not advertise his products on this forum. Sales may not be discussed, no news threads may be posted regarding new releases. This ban does not impact any dolls by Dollshe ordered by November 8, 2023. Any dolls ordered after November 8, 2023, regardless of the date the sculpt was released, are banned from this forum as are any dolls released under his new or future companies including but not limited to Club Coco BJD. This ban does not apply to other company dolls cast by Dollshe as part of a casting agreement between him and the actual sculpt or company and those dolls may still be discussed on the forum.     1. My first year mark is this month!(Woohoo!)
      In total, I have bought 7 dolls. Two of which I don't have.
      One I have since sold, and the other was a gift to a friend.(Not mine, but I technically bought it!)
      Which leaves 5 as of right now! :aheartbea

    2. I have bought and currently have 3 bjds and only one is complete. I have a tendency to want more before one is completed. But honestly a doll is never really​ completed.

    4. I picked out five that first year, September to September. Plus two free head that came with two of them (who are both complete). Three of those first five were gifts; one birthday, one xmas, and one I asked my grandmother for help with. I was such a bum that first year. lol I still own all my dolls, though the third doll I got is up for sale. And only one of those five has had any significant changes made to his character, it took me three years to figure out who he was. Now he'll be an integral part of the photostory I've been working on.

    5. My first year i bought 2 dolls and one head.. this year i bought 1 doll, 1 body and 4 heads.. I have to stop me now for some month brrcause the dolls are very expensive. I think i will buy again for my birthday :P

    6. This is my first year, since feb. I have bought 4 1/2 full dolls (half because my latest was paid partially as a gift) Three heads, and I have one doll and three heads on layaway.

      All were bought with income tax and ebay sales, hoping for another good tax refund >.<

    8. My first year, I bought three dolls and one floating head; I ended up selling the head and one of the dolls that same year.
      Then I took a two year hiatus, because I needed to focus on graduating and getting a job...
      in 2012, I got serious about the hobby again, and I've added 4 more to my collection, though I'm selling one. (technically I bought one of them in December of 2011, though.) I'll be buying at least one more before the month is over.
      I shop for each doll while I'm waiting for them to arrive, so some version of them is finished once I get them. Sometimes I go through a few versions before I get it right, though!

    9. Hum... In my first year of collecting I got 3 dolls. A Soom Idealian, an Iplehouse EID and a Peak's Woods FOC. Collecting BJDs is such an addictive hobby isn't it ?? Sometimes I feel like I need a shrink :D

    10. Oh 12 months since she arrived? Then, I have bought another doll c:
      But she won't arrive until around or past the mark of receiving my first doll.
      I was really happy with my first doll, but I did order her some new eyes and a new wig, so she can have a semi makeover xD
      And I need to put her eyelashes on still...I'm just scared xD
      Because I loooove her faceup.

    11. I got my first boy in August of 2012 and this November I placed an order for my second doll a girl and a floating head to learn how to do face-up's! Only now I found a sale and a beautiful limited doll from Mint On Card so that would be two more boys I will probably get >.> and then I probably won't buy any more till I get them done. . . I hope

    12. Needed 5 months to bring my first girl home. I bought my PKF Luna on layaway, placed the order in January this year and got her in May. All in all I bought 14 dolls this year which makes a pretty crazy second half of the year :sweat

    14. Technically I bought my Cookie in December of 2011 but she didn't arrive till 2012, and this year alone I have bought and received 2. I just bought a 3rd which will probably arrive sometime next year and i am planning on buying a fourth one before the year ends XD

I meant to keep the number at no more than 5 total, but I found a doll at a great deal in the market place and then just couldn't help myself for the others... as for those that have arrived home this first year there are 5 and as for those that I've ordered there are another three on their way. One of them is just a body though, so it's more like 2 1/2? The body is the deer body from Impldoll and is meant to be an optional body for my RS Mei to wear for one of her several characters. >.>

    16. I actually don't remember exactly when I started collecting... I might have to dig deep to figure it out. Its been about a year, I think. I've gotten 2, but the majority of my one on layaway will be paid off NEXT year technically.. and to think... I was sitting here and thinking Wow, these crazy spenders... then I stopped and thought... wow,It's probably only been a bit over a year for me. So I'm ONE of those... Oh! :P

    17. I started collecting at the beginning of this year. I've so far bought....eight dolls and about six face plates. I've sold one doll to a colleague at work but the rest are still here. My bank balance isn't very healthy >.>

    19. In August I wrote I'd try not to buy more and that the answer was seven... well, now my first year is over, and the answer is ten. The last one hasn't arrived yet, but I think I bought her before the date I bought Deena a year ago.

      Before Deena arrived, I bought Johnny and he arrived. They both came last winter.

      Then, in the summer, I bought Elias, Alice, Milean, Silas and Ed.

      Later, this autumn, I bought Stella, Luna and Emeralde, who propably won't arrive before spring.

      Johnny, Milean, Silas, Ed, Stella and Luna are second-hand dolls, so only four of my kids are all new. Oh yeah, I also bought a second-hand head for Elias, to try again the face-up. The head is a little modded, bigger eyes and weird ears.

      I know, I'm crazy and propably the "winner" of this thread. First I took student loan, then stole some of the money my parents had saved for me (for an apartment). Well, I really needed money for living too, but that's how I bought all the dolls since May...
