How many of the same molds will you get?

I would not buy the exact same doll that I already have but similar. I love peakwoods goldie so I have her and her vampire version with different bodies too =)

 

I would definitely say two at most of a given sculpt, unless I needed more for character reasons or modding.

I have a pair of twins in my story, so I am currently trying to decide on a sculpt for them that will fit both of their personalities and suit their differences (while identical, they have different lifestyles and one of them dyes his hair and is more cynical than his brother).

Also, since I tend to favour androgynous/pretty male sculpts, I am debating whether to get a second head of the same sculpt as my elf boy and put it onto a female body in order to make his sister... they are not twins, but it's such a lovely sculpt and some creative face-up work could give them enough difference while still keeping the resemblance...

 

I have two sets of twins, one set of Glory doll Lucy/Dollstown Elf twins & one set of Hypermaniac Kakiva twins. I struggle with having the two sets as one felt just right but they work in my storyline..
I do plan on opening the eyes of one Kakiva.
I find it disturbing to have too many of the same bodies, bodies are as important to me as heads these days and they form the character just as much.

 

I am planning on getting at least two of Lishe in the SD size (three if I can find an old tan Delf Lishe), at least one Lishe in MSD size (two if I can find a tan Minifee Lishe), and a Lishe in Yo-SD size. If they made a Lishe as a tiny puki then I would want her as a puki too. So, I would say that you aren't the only one that wants the same sculpt many times.

I love the sculpt so much that I want her in each size. I also want to get a beauty white Lishe to make my own scar mod on her and turn her into a mystic. Her little smirk and the fact that she is so versatile is why I love her. I haven't seen another sculpt that would make me to that yet.

 

I have a set of twins but the second head came as a gift. I think it was a part of an event, I can't really remember but since I love the mold, I kept it and got a body for it later on. I don't see myself buying the same mold intentionally otherwise...

 

i like having two of the same molds cuz i have a thing for twins but i also like other colors in the same molds...

 

I will only buy the same mold if it is in a different resin color or with a completely different faceup. I had a pair of twins but I decided I would rather have 2 different dolls than 2 of the same.

 

I'm really not sure yet. My resin army is still under construction. I do have one doll who has two different heads though. Both the same sculpt but, one's a human head and the other is a demon head(Difference in face-up).

 

If you like it that much, why not? I wouldn't want two or more of the same though, I only want so many dolls and I want to have variety.

 

The most I would ever get is two of the same mold. Personally, I think more than that would be too much trouble! I think if I collected smaller dolls, I wouldn’t mind collecting maybe 3 of the same type. However, I lean more towards SD size, so having more than 2 seems like a waste of precious storage space

 

I went as high as six of the same mold. But I have to let two go... so Four is the highest I have. then a few at three

 

I would like to get two or three of the same mold but on different type of bodies, and each of them very different style of faceups

 

I have two Bobobie Meis planned, they're two halves of one being so it fits in with my story but I always thought that that sculpt had such wonderful potential and that it could fit totally different characters hence why I'm using them to sort of equate to ying and yang. Plus it's on the more affordable range of BJDs so I'll probably eventually be able to get both at once so they're even from the same resin batch and even if I have to replace the bodies (I've heard the posing isn't great on BBB/RS bodies) then it'll be okay.

Other than that, I really can't think of any doubles that I'd get. Most of my characters are totally distinct from eachother in appearance as well as personality. But I am planning on getting a sleeping faceplate for my Narae since I think it'll be handy for certain photos

 

I would get two if I wanted twins or something like that.

However, I do have a doll in which if something broke on it I couldn't replace because its no longer being made. If the opportunity presented itself and I had the money on hand, I would buy a second of it in a heartbeat. I love the doll and would be devastated if something happened and I no longer had it.

 

I like the idea of 2 or more dolls/characters that look almost the same... so far I don't have multiples of the same mold, though. It could happen in the future! Or not, since I already have pairs of dolls with similar faces (El and Lishe; Mo and Megi)

I may get multiple 01 Dollfie Dream heads, though. Once you mod the mouth and eyes, they are very versatile and adorable. You can get so many different looks out of them just with a different face up. I could have a room full of these cuties

 

I have 3 Magical Michael/F09s. Satsuki (F09 NS Boy), Soji (F09 WS Modded to look like Magical Michae) and Sasha (Magical Michael). I currently have 1 Kyotenshi Shiratori, but I'm buying another. One in WS and the other in NS. I've had up to 6 Elf Chiwoos. My roommate bought 2 of them from me. I usually get to about 3 and then have no idea what to do with them after that.

 

I have 4 chiwoos and 3 of them are girls. boy is chiwoo elf, girls are - one classic open eye, 2nd modded to dreaming ss head and 3rd - MNF.

 

When it comes to having the same mold, but one open eye and one dreamy eyed, I wouldn't have a problem having more then one. I would have more then one of the exact mold only if it was twins, and that goes for the body mold too. I don't know what it is, but I have some kind of pet peeve against having more then one doll on a particular body mold. Like if I ever got another DC doll, I'd probably put it on a DZ body. Maybe I could stand it if the dolls were suppose to be kin.

 

I want 2 MNF Chloe`s =) At the Moment i have 1 at home.

It depends on how much in love with the mold I am. At the moment I have two RS Beis, one in white and the other in dark tan. I also have a white-skinned LTF Ante and a NS Ante. I would love to get another RS Ni at some point.
