How many of the same molds will you get?

I can see myself owning more than one of a sculpt... If I had a completed doll wishlist and enough money left over, I'd want to buy another Kurenai so I could keep one with the default faceup and get another with a custom one! She's so cute with other faceups, but part of the reason I fell for her was because of her default one so I don't want to change it.

 

I love variety so I only see myself getting one of a particular sculpt. There are so many Minifees I like!

 

I would have just 2 of the same mold. Tried it once and it didn't work but I wouldn't mind to try it again with another Rosettadoll Zio or another Switch Soseo in mocha brown (mine is NS).

 

I like having variety so would not purchase the same mold again unless it was a sleeping face or to replace a broken one.

 

I never say never in this hobby but as it stands now, I'm not interested in having multiple of the same mold. There are just too many beauties out there!

I personally don't think I'll ever get more than one of the same sculpt, mainly because there are so many different dolls I want to buy. But I can certainly understand the appeal. Even outside of having multiples as twins, sculpts can transform into completely different characters depending on faceup and styling.

 

Ahhh yes I know how you feel!! I've always, ALWAYS been obsessed with Delf El's since I first saw one! When I first saw an El I didn't even know what bjd's were but I was hooked, so now I feel like I might start collecting them!
I already have a tan one on the way (my grail doll) but some NS El twins would be cool too...
I don't know if more than that would be weird, I guess I'll have to wait and see, but right now more than three sounds like a clone army to me!!

 

I have 2 Elfdoll Sooahs. One is normal skin and the other is white skin. I love the sculpt so much I might purchase another. I also have 2 Obitsu Harukas. One is on a 60cm Obitsu ball jointed body with large bust and other is on a Dollfie Dream 2 body. One is Lady Amalthea from "The Last Unicorn" and the other is an original character I made up. The thing with bjds is the same sculpt can look so different with a different faceup, wig, and clothing.

 

Whn all my outstanding dolls arrive, I'll have two each of three sculpts, but they won't be in the same skin tone - three each for one if I count my PukiPuki Ante. I don't think I'd get two of the same sculpt in the same skintone unless I wanted twins - which would be super cute, now that I'm thinking about it.

 

I have 3 DIM Tom Hiddleston heads which are my Loki (based on the Marvel Avengers movies). One is his Asgard (human looking) head, one his Jotun (frost giant) head and another not yet painted which will likely be more the Loki of Norse Mythology. My Ringdoll Carlos LE has a spare head (it came witt the fullset) as well but that is kept blank and there if anything should happen to his current head.

 

THAT is one I'm not sure of. Multiples of the same company? Heck yeah, I own three from Resinsoul/BBB now to prove that, but as far as sculpts go... I'm not sure to be perfectly honest. There's so many dolls... I think maybe I'd like to own a male AngelRegion Ren one day, since I just adore my female Ren, Noah, but even that's debatable as I like Noah being the unique way she is. So to be honest... Not sure. I'd like variations of different sculpts like one day I'd like to if I could afford it get Resinsoul Fei and Resinsoul Mei to have twins.

 

I really honestly think I'd only get one of each mold. I buy dolls because I like customizing them, and I'd prefer to keep it interesting by buying different molds and working on something new each time. Then again, never say never!

 

I'd only do it for twins I think! (which I have planned to be F60 mirwens) I like to find different sculpts for different characters so unless its for twins, or a dreaming/oe head that I've made two seperate characters out of I really don't see myself owning sculpt multiples.

 

I would probably have no more than two. I already have my eyes on momotree's Bonita that I really like in both the tan and normal skin tone. So I guess I would do it if I cant choose between a skin colour, but this is really the only time I've wanted the same sculpt twice. They're so cute!

 

There are way to many amazing sculpts out there for me to imagine having two of the same. Even if there were different resin colours and face ups, I'd rather choose another scuplt.

 

I have had triplets and twins of a couple of sculpts. Right now I have twin momocolor Bonnie (tan and WS) and my daughter and I have almost twins in AS Kimi and Kimo.

And... You know something? They all look entirely different and I wouldn't say no to adding yet more of those sculpts to my collection! I'll admit that it, having so many of the same sculpt, was never planned, but now that it's happened I'd highly recommend it!

 

Ugh, I would get infinite molds of Iplehouse's Carina sculpt cause daaaaamn she fine. But no seriously, every user picture I've ever seen with any type of face-up in any of the different resin colors are just GORGEOUS. Me want~

 

I could never see myself getting the same sculpt twice. I rather spend the money I have on a variety of different dolls than getting the same sculpt again. I enjoy seeing what other collectors do with the sculpts I own too but I wouldn't want one several times
