How many of the same molds will you get?

2, My Chrom twin are sharing body. In my story, they are 2 souls in 1 body and they have different personality.

Well, I love Chrom so I don't mind have 2 same molds (even one is fire lord head and other is human head.)

 

I really like the Iplehouse Louis and I wanted to get at least 2 heads, at most 3... but my friend told me I shouldn't, because I have 1 already, and I have many more heads that don't have bodies and I should get bodies for them before getting more heads...

...but after I get everyone bodies I will buy all the Louis/Freezia heads I can find!!!

 

2 at most. I usually try to get them of different skin tones and use one as a boy and the other as a girl. I currently have 2 DIM Angelo heads, 2 SWITCH Javi and 2 SWITCH Uhui...

 

I was debating doing this for my next doll. I wanted a boy to be my BBB Ariel's counterpart, and I'm basing their characters off a folktale about a deity that splits in two- a man and a woman- and they fall in love. So I thought I could get Ariel's head on a boy body, in a different color...
Idon't know what would be more interesting, working with a totally new sculpt, or seeing how different I can make a sculpt I already own.

 

I do have two Customhouse Hyuns, but that was just because of the company's 'buy one get one' sale at the time, and then they ended up as my oddball identical twins, with just enough notable little differences in their faceups to distinguish them from each other.

Any sculpts that I would go to extra lengths/expenses to buy more than one of? In the past, I would have said nope -- but ever since La Légende de Temps popped into existence, I've understood the urge to get multiples of just about every LLT sculpt. However, with that said, I would not use the same sculpt for two different, unrelated characters; I would either get a different "expression" head (dreaming/sleeping eyes, for example) for a given character, or I would get the sculpt in a different resin color from the one I already own, and turn that into a flip-side, alternate reality variant of the character in question (e.g. a "dark/evil" version of a good character, and vice versa).

 

I already have one sculpt twice, although one is tan, the other is normal skin (my t-line choco). I don't think I's get the same sculpt twice again though...
I also forgot my kdf Pine, i have human and elf, but I got them together.

 

Hmmm maybe Fairyland Shushu or Volks Dollfie Dream... I think those are the ONLY two I would consider buying the same mold of twice or more.

 

I always thought it was crazy to get two the same sculpt - why bother when there are so many lovely ones out there!!

Of course now... I have two LittleFee Antes (1 winking one normal) and two PukiFee Antes (one normal one fairy) I would consider having a pukipuki Ante again...


I also have a PukiFee Shiwoo and a LittleFee Shiwoo - and would consider a Mini or SD as well...

So yea, if you love a sculpt sometimes it just happens!

 

I have two DZ Shengxis. Quinn and his cousin Keys. I want another.... I think I'm just obsessed with that sculpt! I originally said I would never have duplicates... or even two of the same body. I mostly have stuck to that, too, aside from my Shengxis (one was a gift, which is how I got the second) and having gotten two BlueBloods, who have the same body.

I currently have 4 esthy Peroths and I am considering getting a 5th.

 

Oh dear oh dear. Guilty as charged. I have 6 Puki Puki Pong, 3 Piki & 2 Conchon.
Each of them are different and I'm planning twin iplehouse boys next year!

 

I'm considering getting a second Supia Rosy because I found out that I actually prefer normal skin Rosy better than tan Rosy. I'd like to have both, but then I think about the fact that I waited an entire year for tan resin to come out and then I spent a ton of time, effort, and money to get the perfect face up and I tell myself, "Just be happy with the one you have."

 

Thus far I have one only of each sculpt that I own. While I like seeing what others do with the same head mold, I wouldn't want to own more than one of each since the heads themselves cost way more than any other part of the doll (for what I have).

Doing this also forces me to be creative, limiting my girls to just a handful of the ones I like the most.

 

I think I must be in the minority here...I only have 1 home and 1 due this week and they are different. Now my next one will definitely be different from both of them. That's one of the main things I like about my next choice. So I guess I'll see how this changes or stays the same in the future.

 

I am planning to get two more PKF Lunas so I will have triplets one day

 

I have a spare blank DF Linfeng head but that's only because he was a surprise free gift so i use him as a practice head maybe one day he will get his own body.

I don't plan to have more than one of any though, except for the 'Saint' i have on order and that's just extra heads of the old and new sculpts and definitely the exception.

 

Currently I have two Lati Yellow Miel's and Lea's. Each relase have very different face-ups and resin colors. Right now that is my max (but I'm sure I could be easily persuaded to increase it)....

 

I'm currently waiting on my second person doll, but she is a different number so slightly different. One was not enough for me!

 

I'm going to buy the same mold now, so I will have two same dolls. But I begin to think about the third doll of the same mold, because my doll are kins so they can be similar to each other, especially with the different make-up.

 

One. I don't intend to have any twins, so one is enough.
