1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

    1. This is difficult to answer since alot of my dolls share outfits. And since I'm always making them clothes, it changes all the time. My Elfdoll Tinies only have one outfit each, but I change which one wears what. That is the least. My 60cm girls have the most, I have sooooooooooo many outfits for them. Since they all share, I'd say most of them have at least 10-20 outfits.

    2. This is a fascinating thread.

The other day I was searching for one particular piece and started organizing my bjd clothes in to plastic baggies.

Imagine my surprise to find that I have 26 skirts for my 3 female minis.:? Some skirts I made, some skirts are from friends2be made, and few are top notch. But still! It got me thinking about re-cycling some doll clothes.:doh I have way way too much.

Maybe I'll sit down and make a list of all the pants, shoes, tops, etc. Should be an eye opener!

    3. Most of my dolls have at least 3 outfits--- and everyone shares wigs & eyes.

    5. It's never enough. :sweat I keep getting new outfits, the dolls get the same treatment. It's sad, there's only one doll here...yet I've been buying stuff for dolls I'm saving for too.
Luckily, I'm sticking to the same body shape so they can always share if they have to...though I doubt they'll be happy about that.

Uh...for the poll, at least 10 outfits each? O.o

    6. This is a great thought-provoking question. I have all three sizes of dolls and all of them have multiple outfits. It seems the clothing costs more as the size of the doll increases.

I like to dress my dolls for themes too and do that for at least 4-5 different dolls. So I have Christmas, and Easter outfits etc.. However, I do notice that my girls have more clothing than my boys.

I buy most of the clothing from seamstresses on another board, some from here and some from Ebay. I do have several Elfdoll. Luts, and Volks outfits but usually I don't buy much from the manufacturers.

I have a friend who sews and has given me multiple outfits for my dolls. Those outfits and others I have received as presents I truly treasure.

    7. wel my boys not here and allready has 5 outfits :doh, I probably get furture dolls certain out fits each and then get shared clothes :)
I'd like them to have like 50 outfits each *dreams, and also for myself* XD

    8. Just one outfit for now.
      I can't find SD17boy outfit.

    9. Well most all the dolls I'll have will have a "default" outfit, but on the side I might have several shirts or seasonal outfits for my boys. Larue has his own default outfit (which surprisingly is not what he's wearing right now) and has another shirt (that I made for him).

    10. I only have two outfits for Nicodemus right now, but I would love to get more! So far I've only bought them, but I would mind making a couple too, it's just hard to find the time.

    11. I've been lazy sewing while in Japan, as I like company while I sew (stitch'n'bitch parties), and I can't seem to drag the guys here in Japan to a girly doll-sewing get-together. As a result, my dolls are lacking in clothes, and only have average 2 outfits per. :(
BUT, I have designs and plans for at least 5 more each. I just need a nice big sewing day.

    12. I can't really say how many outfits I have. I just have a bunch of different pieces that I like to mix and match for all my boys. I'm always mixing their existing clothes up or incorporating new pieces to create various outfits. I just can't put a number to the outfits. XD

I have a ton of shirts that all my guys share, and they also share a collection of pants. I'm beginning to run out of space for all their clothing!

I just recently put in an order for a sewing machine, so I can't imagine the amount of things I'd make for them as I learn to sew.

    14. if you have one doll, you just keep buying for it...:D
      like me!!!

    15. i guess it really depends on the character of the doll. i mean, i know i won't be changing my haku's clothes very often(unless i manage to find him a cute kimono XD) and as for the others i'll probably not be buying a lot of stuff for them. no credit card lol! besides, gotta practice sewing.

    16. 0_o however many your bjd wants and however many you can get

    17. Nadeko has 2 outfits right now but I'd like to get her 7 or 8 considering she's my only doll right now and she and her twin (that I'll get someday) will be sharing almost all their clothes

    18. It depends on which doll. I have one doll that I'm planning on probably only having one main outfit—perhaps having many very-similar pieces for a bit of variation—but basically one true look.

There are two dolls which I want to have very specific styles
—one to be a sweet lolita and the other more of a dark and classic lolita. I'd like for them to have a nice wardrobe of choices, but they have a minimum of three full outfits each, and so far only one pair of shoes.

Lastly, I have a family of dolls I want that I'm planning huge wardrobes for. I don't have any real plans for them to end either; I just want to get them as many things I can that suit them! Heck, I plan for two of them to have at least nine pairs of shoes each, and the other three to have comparable collections. I love good-quality doll shoes! It'll be SO expensive, gah OTZ . But hopefully worth it XD . The girl I have so far that fits into this family already has maybe five full outfits, and various small mix-match pieces, with more on the way. And I've already started buying things for a boy I won't even own for a while yet OTZ .

    19. hmmm...i kinda have about 8 or 9 outfits i can switch between dolls, lucky mine are similar sizes

    20. This is difficult for me to answer. It varies so much by doll. I have one doll that barely has one outfit. He has a plain casual shirt and a pair of jeans- at least the jeans were custom made for him. I have another doll with six complete outfits plus several pieces of jewelry and other little accessories. He had more, but I passed some on to another doll and sold one.

Dolls of characters that are supposed to enjoy clothes more or are supposed to be more wealthy tend to have more clothing than the others. (I expect the one with six outfits to get many, many more) Plus, I have noticed I am much more interested in dressing my dolls well than getting new dolls lately. My newer dolls keep getting more clothes, while my older ones stick with the old clothes they have. My newest doll, that I have not even gotten yet already has more clothes than my oldest doll has. -__-

Next year, I think all of my dolls, old or new, of poor or rich characters, will get a few new clothing pieces and accessories. However, based on character, I think there will always be a huge difference between how many some have as opposed to how many others have.
