1. It has come to the attention of forum staff that Dollshe Craft has ceased communications with dealers and customers, has failed to provide promised refunds for the excessive waits, and now has wait times surpassing 5 years in some cases. Forum staff are also concerned as there are claims being put forth that Dollshe plans to close down their doll making company. Due to the instability of the company, the lack of communication, the lack of promised refunds, and the wait times now surpassing 5 years, we strongly urge members to research the current state of this company very carefully and thoroughly before deciding to place an order. For more information please see the Dollshe waiting room. Do not assume this cannot happen to you or that your order will be different.

How much time do you spend with your dolls?

May 23, 2017

    1. Im one that won’t “play” per say. I suck at sewing, and I’m not that crafty either. I love taking pics of them every now and then. But I get to look at them every day while I’m relaxing. If I had a bad day I actually have the urge to take one out and change stuff on it. It does relax me. But just looking at them every day makes me happy

    2. I mess with them very little, but I enjoy looking at them everyday! I keep them in a glass display case, where they’re safe from dust, humidity, and curious kitties! :kitty1 I try not to handle them too much, because I’m scared of getting them dirty or ruining their wigs.

    3. I was worried it was just me who spends little time with the dolls but glad to hear it's not the case :')
like the fear of breaking them, or making them dirty, so I normally just keep them on a display after the initial play
and change up their outfits once i a while, along with maybe photoshoots once every 1-2 months when the lighting is good

    4. My dolls are always out on display. I collect a variety of different types of dolls. I am usually always working on some doll projects or another. I love sewing for them especially. Once a year I check the faceups and see if anyone needs redoing. I like to make little projects and props for them as well.

I find myself randomly commented at them sometimes.

I don't really set out specific time for them, because they are just always there keeping me company. :)

    5. Because I'm currently remote working, my dolls are always on my desk where I can enjoy them. Who gets to sit on the desk varies, but there's always someone.
Aside from that, i guess I probably spend roughly two-three hours per week interacting more actively with the dolls? either making them clothes, or taking pictures, or changing their outfits...

    6. My dolls are always out on display, in decorative vignettes I’ve made for them throughout my home. It makes me happy…like living in a fantasy world of my own creation. It was tremendous fun styling them, building displays, sewing wardrobes, doing faceups, etc. Because they’re always on display, I feel like I’m always interacting with them on a daily basis. I may be just chatting as I walk by, or changing clothes, taking photos, moving them around to different settings…it’s all just a very natural part of interacting with my environment, which I love.

    7. I usually spend about a few hours a week with my dolls on average, though when the mood strikes to redo a face up I might end up spending several hours in one sitting with them. But that doesn't happen too often, I'm usually pretty satisfied with my dolls as they are, so just dressing them up and posing them for pictures takes up the time I spend with them.
